I found Pistil & Vine by accident but thank god I did! I had ordered a cake from next door and walked into P&V to pick up flowers for my girlfriend's birthday. The boutique is beautiful inside and smells incredible. I let them know I wanted a bouquet and what my budget was and they were very helpful about colors, types, any favorites. I watched the young lady put together an absolutely gorgeous bunch of flowers and could tell she was very invested in making sure everything was perfect. The end result was amazing and the flowers didn't die right away like some other places. My girlfriend is very picky when it comes to flowers but she loved them. Megan Miezio did the flowers for my wedding & they were the most beautiful bouquets & arrangements I have ever seen. That's not just my opinion, but the opinion of many of the guests at my wedding. I received an email from one of my guest who said, " I LOVED the flowers. I would say they were the best I've seen." We were fortunate to have met Megan while shopping for wedding venues, she was at one of the locations setting up the flowers for a wedding that night. She incorporated some of the most unique flowers in the bouquets. Nice window display but I can't say any more than that because I was only in the shop for about 90 seconds. As soon as I came in the door their large dog ran to me and put its nose in my crotch. When I brushed it away and turned to keep walking into the shop I got a nose in the butt not once but twice. Finally the owner got off her stool and squeaked a toy but by that time I had already turned and headed back towards the door. Gorgeous flowers, great service, and the cutest and most friendly black lab that greets you as you walk in. Would highly recommend, they made me a beautiful bouquet for Valentine's Day in 15 minutes. The bouquets literally took my breath away--I've never seen a more beautiful arrangement. They complimented my bridesmaids' dresses so perfectly. The floral arrangements at our church and reception venue were absolutely incredible. Our reception was at a brewery, and has a very open, industrial-looking space. This is a wonderful local business. The shop has a really wonderful and not overwhelming selection of seasonal plants and fresh cut flowers. I've bought a lot of gifts here, they're not unreasonable priced. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the sticker prices of many items. The staff is always very warm, friendly, and helpful. This place is great! I went here looking for a birthday gift for my boyfriend's Mom and the owner was amazing in helping me pick the perfect gift. She was extremely helpful and this shop has everything. They have plants, flowers, candles and all sorts of cute, little gifts. I bought a 100% vegetable oil candle in the "Fern" scent and it smelled beautiful! The cherry on top, she wrapped it for me and really went above and beyond to make it look absolutely perfect. One side note: each day she sprinkles flower pedals outside the store, so very pretty when I'm walking by! read more

I've long enjoyed walking past this florist, with their rose petals strewn about on the sidewalk, but when I needed to send flowers to a dance pal post hip-surgery, I wanted to take my troupe's collective biz-ness to a great local business rather than order the same-old same-old from whatever wherever online. I came in with my tiny nanny-baby and asked Megan some probably vague-sounding questions. I sort of didn't know how to go about what I was doing. She helped guide me in the right direction and soon enough we had everything settled! She was that ideal blend of easily amiable and perfectly professional. Plus the shop was beautiful. And I give extra points to baby-friendly shops and shopkeeps, especially in a neighborhood so full of families. I even changed the delivery date/time shortly after placing the original order because of scheduling differences on the flower-receiving end. No problems, they were perfect. My friend received the flowers today and posted a photo of the bouquet. She LOVES it and I am really impressed with what they selected and arranged. Meg and her team put together the floral arrangements for our wedding in July 2012 I was over the moon with the results. I have to imagine that I was a very difficult client with no vision whatsoever, plus a hot mess not knowing the first thing about wedding planning. Somehow Meg was able to navigate this and come up with beautiful arrangements within our budget. An example of Meg's above-and-beyond approach that I didn't hear about until later was that, upon arriving at our reception site and finding the small cheap cake we planned to cut in an unattractive state (I think it got smashed or something in transit) she went out and bought another to have something pretty to put flowers on. We can't say enough amazing things about Meg and the whole team at Pistil & Vine. We discovered them walking buy the shop on a beautiful day and popped our heads in solely because the storefront looked so cute and everything looked so tasteful. Meg simply has very, very good taste. It's possible that you might have different thoughts of your own, but there's a pretty good chance that you'll love her aesthetic. Pistil & Vine became our go to florist long before they took on our wedding flowers earlier this year. Every time, they've been amazing and the flowers have been beautiful and creative. They feel much more like friends than our favorite florist, and I've seen similar relationships with their other customers and surrounding shop owners. This is an easy place and easy people to fall in love with. As for the wedding flowers and the entire experience of working with them for our wedding, we couldn't have asked for more. Stunning, creative, gorgeous, etc... all the glowing adjectives hold, but it was more than that, it was special, it felt like it was just for us, and it was perfect. Completely unprofessional establishment. I went in to the shop carrying my puppy in my arms and the owner's dog (a large lab) rushed to the door and continued to jump up at me, freaking out my pup. The owner then proceeded to tell me that she cannot hold her own dog while talking on the phone and told me to leave the store. Meanwhile, another employee proceeded to sit on a chair, watching the entire situation. I cannot believe that as a paying customer, I was kicked out of the store. What a terrible, unprofessional and rude environment. I love dogs but am completely stunned by this woman's behavior. read more

We have used Pistil & Vine a number of times and generally speaking they have done a nice job. Since we were moving, we decided it would be nice to return the vases we had built up and recycling is good right? The high number of vases was indicative of the fact that we had used them a number of times previously so we thought they would be happy to have them back. To the contrary they told my girlfriend it was "like returning coat hangers to the dry cleaner" and that if they were cleaned "they guess they would take them back". Cool thanks for the attitude. I would never give this florist a dime of my money. We walked in to get bridal pricing and spoke with Megan. She didn't make a good first impression at all. She gave us starting prices (not cheap) for bride, groom, bridal party, and parents. I requested a quote and asked for pricing near the starting points and that must not have been good enough for her because the quote never came. On top of that she has a puppy in the store (my husband and I are animal lovers), however, it's not great when a dog is jumping all over your husband's suit when he is headed back to work afterwards. Megan, work on not being so stuck up with customers. Maybe you don't need the extra business, but it is just poor customer service. read more

I have to admit, I was really worried about my wedding flowers. I set this up all through email and never even went to the shop. I would have liked to, but nothing ever got set up. I sent in idea pictures and described what I wanted, which was just the bouquets for the day, boutonnieres for the guys, and corsages for moms. We had someone pick them up the day of our wedding and I had no idea what to expect. It all looked great though!! The bouquets were very pretty and matched my idea pictures almost exactly. I wish there would have been a little more communication, and maybe just one meeting, but that was partly my fault too...I didn't push one really. Megan was FANTASTIC! At our first meeting we went over what things we like/colors we planned on using ect. Meg took everything we wanted and expanded it into the vision I had for our day. she was incredible at dealing with all of our last minute changes. With a large family and vocal in-laws, I know it be cause frustrating and confusing. They handled everything with grace. She then took the time to give me very thoughtful recommendations on who I could contact that might more in line with my budget, but still have similar aesthetic and design.
