Understaffed, ordered sweet potato fries and they gave me some other weird sweet potato with sesame on it. Anyways .. the place is a mess nobody knows where the line starts or ends. I never got my refund for my kombucha ( that they charged me for but they then realized they were sold out of it) . All around I don't think they have any management. Update ... after my last review they reached out and did awesome customer service recovery ! I continued on my weekly visit until COVID changed my outings . I just wish they used a good delivery service ! I hate that Postmates is the only one that goes there as they really price gouge you compared to door dash or Uber eats . Healthy amd delicious is what you get when coming to this great establishment. The environment is nice and casual. Little fast pace as they get busy but very courteous and attentive when it comes to your service. Everyone here always has a smile on there face. I get the mother earth bowl. Lots of greens and some of the best sweet potatoes you will ever try. I believe they have several locations but this one is my favorite. All organic and quite scrumptious. You have choice of proteins or straight vegan if you decide. Im all for what ever to your likings. Flower Child is sadly so inconsistent and this might've been the final straw for me. When it's good, it's an easy 5 star! On it's bad days though, it's just near inedible. Usually they'll mess up the brocoli and burn it but this time the noodles were so over cooked that they turned into this mush! I ate the chicken and tries to give the sides a try but I couldn't eat it and tossed the rest. Easily one of the worst mess-ups they've had, so disappointed :( read more

Came here for lunch on a hot day. Saw a line out the door and was skeptical about the wait but they had a to go window and the service was surprisingly fast. I o my waiter perhaps 10 minutes. They also had a cute water stand outside for guests to hydrate and misters to help keep cool. The food was absolutely refreshing! Everything was flavorful, yummy, and healthy! I love this place SO much! Their Mac and cheese & lemonade is to die for. There are so many healthier options here and even though I know I don't choose the healthiest... I know it's better for you than a side of Mac and cheese from Cracker Barrel - haha! The service is always perfect. I've never once had an issue. I wanted to share a disturbing finding about the contents of the ROASTED SWEET POTATO FRIES served with buttermilk yogurt ranch and noted on the menu as - Vegetarian & Gluten-free. I inquired to the manager about the contents of the buttermilk yogurt ranch, because me and my vegetarian partner wanted to replicate it at home...... The manager I spoke with was happy to share the recipe contents of the buttermilk yogurt ranch and one item he shared shocked me was anchovies, which even me as a carnivore knows that means the dish is not vegetarian. We have always enjoyed eating at Flower Child with the only real issue we have run into is a cold side dish which they always quickly remedy and the fact you might have to bus and clean your own table, but to find out this ingredient in the buttermilk yogurt ranch was just shocking and disgusting. I would have told anyone who asked me about Flower Child the food is excellent, the service is good and consistent usually, and your selected table could be a little dirty requiring a bit of cleaning and busing, but we loved the food. At this point I don't believe my partner will return to Flower Child due to this deception, ignorance, no trust in what is printed on their menu, and making decisions for her........ Flower Child should immediately change its designation on its menu as vegetarian or vegan or even gluten free, if they have ingredients similar to the buttermilk yogurt ranch with anchovies included making the dish NON-VEGETARIAN. read more

Always my go to lunch or dinner spot! They have such delicious dishes that won't break the bank, and they usually do seasonal/monthly specials as well so there is always something new to try or an old favorite that makes an appearance again. My favorite dishes are the Mother Earth Bowl, Madras Curry, Brussels and Squash Salad, and Forbidden Rice bowl. Their soups rotate daily but they are always delicious. Definitely give them a try if you haven't. Have you tried the Mac and Cheese??? You must! I dream about that dish! Maybe the real reason I come here is for the kids meals! My kids beg for flower child and to be able to feed them a healthy kids meal for $6.50 each is a huge win! This is my favorite spot for fast casual deliciousness! It's nice for a hip, relaxed dinner date or a birthday meal with my mom. Even my son can get down on a kids bowl of steak, mac and cheese, and broccoli. I really just love how they let the natural flavors in the food shine. I've had the teriyaki shrimp and avocado bowl, Mother Earth bowl, and all sorts of combinations of the entree/side/side. They are all wonderful. It was something like $7.50 for thin sliced toast, brown, unappetizing avocado smear, and an egg they seemed to have split into eighths and put a tiny bit on each piece of toast. I really wanted to like this place, but when I can get avocado toast that is about three times bigger and fresh, GREEN avocado with two eggs for a couple bucks more at their competitors, why would I come back? Be sure to check out the unaltered/unfiltered photos to see the shade of beige avocado they thought was appropriate to serve me. I really like Flower child, even though I'm giving them a 3 for this review. I went with my 11 month old yesterday for lunch. I look at ingredients in all the foods I give her and want her to have plenty of nutrients and good for the body foods. There are few restaurants I can take her now because options are so limited. My biggest concern is sodium, just in general. I struggle with high blood pressure that is only controlled when I limit salt and take meds. The ingredients at Flower Child are superb and food is delicious but it's incredibly salty. I got my baby the kids meal yesterday consisting of chicken, smashed potatoes, and quinoa/corn blend. She loved it but it was so salty that I honestly felt bad giving it to her but still did because she loved it. Next time I'll try to see if we can cut back on the salt in our orders. This review doesn't mean that we won't be back, we will just seek modifications next time. read more

I am going to give a 5 Star rating because Flower child is truly one of my favorite restaurants. However, the last two times (week of November Tatum Location) my enchiladas were not warm nor cold. They were room temperature at best. The week of the 15th I ate at the Flower child on 90th in Scottsdale I had the Thai dish spaghetti squash was delicious and the spice was perfect. I had the same dish at the Tatum location with my husband that night (I am a regular as you can tell) and it was tasteless and barely warm in temperature, no spice either. read more

The manager is so responsive and open with communication, going above and beyond when there might be small mistakes or frustrations. He responds quickly and does whatever he can to help the situation. Just sat down they give you a number and you sit yourself. Asked for a water cup and i have to get it myself when i go to pay its wild that they want their service tip BEFORE you see their service! Reviewing the restaurants I am particularly grateful for this Thanksgiving and this is one of them! Flower Child is fresh and healthy and keeps their menu exciting with seasonal updates. The only complaint I have about this place is that they don't have one in the West Valley where I live. I will go out of my way to eat here, DoorDash during the week at work, or coordinate business meetings here. Literally everything is delicious, but my favorite is the Mother Earth bowl. This Flower Child location is extremely busy. We arrived at 1:30 on a Wednesday and had to wait 10 min for a table on the patio, but the wait coincided well with when our food was ready. The chicken enchilada bowl was nicely spiced with black bean, corn and chili cream sauce, I would order this again. The gluten-free Mac and cheeses was also good and made with a white sauce, likely with some cream cheese as a base, it came out later than the entree as a new batch was being made. The BBQ roasted carrots were a disappointment as they were over cooked and about half of them were dry, almost like dehydrated veggies. They likely had been made some time ago and were not turning over quickly, I have found that this is sometimes a problem with some of the side dishes at the Flower Child chain. It has been over 20 minutes past that and the only communication I received is after I asked twice. They need to get their stuff together. This is our go to place for a solid healthy meal. I love their salmon with any of their veggies but their Mac and cheese is delicious. The kids love their small meals with chicken and broccoli. You order your food at the front, take a number, and seat yourself. Prices are maybe one step above fast food, I would guess about $11 per person unless you order beer or wine. Flower Child is a vegetarians dream - and they have vegan and gluten free options too! Don't worry carnivores, they do have meat options too. The atmosphere is very warm and casual.
