My biggest concern with Flow Electric was my experience dealing with the owner, Morgan. While the electrical work itself was good and the contractor who performed it did a good job, my experience dealing with the owner was quite different. I found his handling of problems and communication to be disappointing and, at times, unnecessarily confrontational.
I had Flow Electric replace my electrical panel with a larger 100V panel that provides more physical space and additional slots. The quote was good, and scheduling was easy. My main concern with the installation was how the panel door sat against the wall.
The way the panel box was installed resulted in significant bowing. This left large gaps between the door and the panel at the top and bottom, resulting in a poor latch and noticeable rattling. An initial attempt to correct the issue resulted in the panel door being severely bent. Morgan was the main point of contact in trying to resolve the issue. During our interactions, I was disappointed by the lack of practical solutions offered for working around the uneven wall conditions. His basic position seemed to be that the wall was what it was and there wasn't much that could be done about it. I felt there were reasonable alternatives, such as shimming or a semi-flush approach, that could have resulted in a cleaner, more finished appearance.
I was also frustrated with how Morgan handled communication around the issue. During one call about the panel door, he accused me of "taking away from hard-working contractors and their families." I found that comment inappropriate when I was simply trying to resolve an issue with the finished installation.
While I was satisfied with the electrical work itself, my interactions with the owner left me with a poor overall impression of the company. Based on that experience, I would not choose to work with Flow Electric again. read more
