Bryan is a stellar old school electrician. He doesn't do anything unless it needs to be done. He added a recirc outlet as well a second one in the kitchen. He also cleaned up our electrical under the kitchen sink for the garbage disposal. I'd hire this man again in a minute, and probably will as there is general f* ckery from some rookie work that was done before. Consider yourself lucky if he works on your joint. read more

That's when we called Unity. Brian was out the same day. I regret not making them my first choice. They are transparent about pricing, keep you updated as the project goes along, and just overall very professional. Brian has about 20 years of experience and it shows. He was in and out of our house so fast. Even though the job was a bit more complicated, his expertise shinned. What took the other person (literally) 3 days, took Brian a total of 3 hours. He was intentionally trying to find ways to save me money on labor, which made me trust him. The company and Brian exhibit good character and integrity. This is now my go to company and Electrcian. I recently had an outlet installed so that the new dishwasher could be installed since the old setup required an update to the wiring. I posted a description of the problem on Yelp hoping I could finally locate a company that was able to sign on for the needed repair work. Through the contact info I left on Yelp, I received a call from one of the agents at Unity only minutes after posting, and she set me up to have Adrian look at the issue and offer an estimate. He was very professional, courteous and transparent about the issue, and sent us the quote to which he was hired on to do the electrical work. The repair work all moved along smoothly! If we need to hire a company again for future work or to recommend to others, we would definitely choose Unity without hesitation! read more

These guys (Brenndon, Nathan, Clayton) do incredible work with attention to detail. They went out of their way to save us money. Very patient, careful and HONEST. We've called on them twice over the last year. First to install a bunch of Nest smoke detectors and bring our outlets/breakers up to code, then for bathroom fans. Both times, Brenndon spent a lot of time working with us to figure out what we needed. The fan installs were non-trivial because we needed venting. They pulled a mechanical permit, cut new roof jacks, and installed hard piping to code. read more

This is going to be one of my rare reviews where I really liked the business but wound up having the work done elsewhere. I needed a couple of circuits installed in my garage and contacted a local business that had great Yelp reviews. Unfortunately that fellow was not all that eager to take me on as a new customer. So I used the Yelp "request a quote" feature which often works extremely well for me. Unity was one of four that Yelp sent my bid request to. Unity got back to me almost instantly and their estimator came by not long after. I really liked him and his presentation. He took a lot of time to look over the job, sketch it out, make suggestions and so on. He is retired Air Force and being a Veteran myself, that is always a plus for me. He said for a small job like this he would most likely be the one doing the work. So I figured we had a winner and no further quotes would be needed. So I just waited for him to send his bid, thinking it would be a reasonable amount and he'd go ahead and do the installation. So a few days later he e-mails the bid and holy cow! It's 3X higher than the next highest bid! And those bids were made sight unseen so I expected them to be higher than if they actually came out to look over the job. Sigh.... So Brian gets back to me and asks if the bid is acceptable and I tell him that his is in the absolute sratosphere compared to his competitors. So he reworks the bid, which, BTW, is just a price and no scope of work or itemized bid.... just a dollar amount.... that's now a few hundred bucks less than the original bid. And is still 2X higher than the next highest bid. So I live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood so I'm guessing Brian saw a big payday. It's a couple of hour job at most and Im guessing a couple of hundred bucks in materials at Home Depot. So I'm not going to knock off stars for a bid on a 2 hour project that gives Unity a $1,000 pure profit... I understand Capitalism so no harm no foul there. But man, oh man.... you DEFINITELY want to get multiple bids before hiring these guys unless you have more money than brains. read more

I had an emergency situation at my home where we partially lost power, and Unity went above and beyond in every respect! 1. They were able to send someone out the same day, and quoted me a $299 base fee. Every other electrician I called either said they were at least a week out, or had an emergency fee of $500 or more. 2. The electrician who came was SUPER friendly and helpful. 3. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem (it turned out to be relatively simple). 4. He then refused to accept even a partial payment, since the fix was so simple, and he was already in the neighborhood on another job. I will DEFINITELY call Unity again next time I need an electrician. Thank you!!! read more

They did everything I asked for and more. A new breaker panel was installed, as well as fixing multiple light fixtures and wall sockets.

The person who did the work completly botched the sheetrock part. When I called the owner with documentation from the manufacturer of the fan I had him install, he denied that anything was incorrect. Now I am going to take him to court to have him pay for the botched sheetrock part. Had we not caught this, we could have a fire danger, loss of warranty on the fan and lots and lot of heat loss in the house due to a large hole in the ceiling to the attick. Our solar panels appeared to be disconnected from the inverters. We reached out to Unity Solar and Electric, and today, Colby appeared to attend to the problem. We were so impressed by his professionalism, knowledge of the panels, and the related systems.. On this wet and slippery day, Colby climbed up on the roof to assess the panels. Colby explained all of the issues and did not attempt to sell anything. I highly recommend Unity Electrical if you have any solar or other issues. We had a kitchen remodel with a different electrician that left us with some issues, namely a knob and tube involved circuit where 3 lights were no longer working. Didn't end up hiring this service but I will say I really appreciated them coming out to give me a quote. The services were a bit more expensive than a competitor but I really did find the in person quote to be a helpful gauge if I wanted to hire them or not. Brenndon came over to provide a quote for an electrical panel upgrade and went above and beyond in answering all my questions. I previously had work done by another local company that was not done to code, and in addition, I was provided inaccurate information by the owner about the need to upgrade my panel.
