I never passed through the OB ED department and I never sat on a gurney in the OB area. I was never seen by their OB ED doctor. When I called to complain I was told that when the triage nurse checked my dilation upon arrival and found that I was fully dilated that that brief assessment by a nurse qualified as ED service! As soon as I arrived I was rushed into a delivery room. The bed was unfolded and the baby was on his way. The on-call OB doc rushed in the room right before the baby was delivered. I gave birth vaginally and without complications in less than 15 minutes after arrival the hospital. Their creative billing team finds ways to sneak in extra charges like $1,306.14 dollars for sitting in the recovery room--the same room delivered in--until the closet sized room near the newborn nursery became available. Choose a different hospital & different health care group. Health First is really MONEY FIRST!

Sea Pines prior to Encompass Health was an amazing place to heal and get back into life after…read moresurgery or a traumatic injury or relearning how to walk. Now I would never step foot in that place again nor would I allow a loved one to go there. Night is pure hell with mean nurses who are abusive to patients telling them to shut up and go to bed when wanting a blanket, to arguing over medications, failing to give medications. The pain doctor literally lied to me for 5 days and was confrontational with me when I requested a new doctor as he was not helping me so I could be successful. The PT staff are highly untrained and do not know how to use key pieces of equipment that help someone relearn to walk. It's become about pushing people to hit goals they set and pushing them out the door to flip the bed for another patient. I received a letter of apology the day I left that should have been given to me 5 days earlier so I would have known the plan and regardless the plan laid out in the letter of apology was not followed and the abuse continued until I walked out the door. I left with more new injuries than I arrived with and am still to this day healing from the damage they did by not listening and pushing my body beyond it's limits especially when no one had even bothered to find out why I suddenly lost the ability to walk after an MRI while I was in the hospital which was wrong to begin with and then to push someone in that situation to flip a bed is insane. Their website says the average stay is 14 days...They tried to get me out in 7 which even my insurance was against and then only gave me a few extra days telling me insurance wouldn't approve longer all the while my insurance wanted me there longer. I was sent home wheelchair bound and to never be alone. I live in a 2 story home and home alone 90% of the time. I requested a step down facility so I would be safer and more functional when returning home and was chewed out for asking. I was not safe nor ready to be sent home. Home health was not happy I was home in the state I was in either but what could we do? This is no longer a place of healing.....it's a bed flipping money grab. Some of us have extremely debilitating diseases that require more time than others and different approaches to achieve success something 7 years ago Sea Pines was great for. Today RUN stay away and if your loved one is telling you nurses and techs are being mean to them, listen because they are as I witnessed it and was treated horribly and have an apology letter from the CEO to boot granted the abuse continued and I felt singled out and retaliated against as well.

I felt that our baby was being handled with care. We were given clear directions and were even allowed to record the session! The office was very clean & they even offered complimentary coffee/tea/flavored water, etc. The price was very reasonable, and I felt we got our money's worth out of the appointment. It felt like a genuine experience and I'm thankful for direction on how we can help our baby at home with exercises.

I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.

The nurses were very friendly and professional, but they had no clue who or when I was to be seen next....and just replied "the service" would contact me. I will say I did get an immediate phone call when I said via text I didn't want another appointment and that I'd find another provider. The response I got from THAT text was instantaneous! Side note- I thought I was referred to them by my surgeon....I wasn't. They font my information somewhere else. I know this because someone from my surgeon's office came to my hospital room with a list of in-home nurse providers for me to select one. When I I told her EnHabit had already contacted me, she had to go look them up as she had never heard of them. THAT should have been my sign to select one from her list. But instead she took their info from me and said it was fine. In hindsight I advise you to select one from the list the hospital or doctor gives you and don't just take the one who calls you before the surgery.

February 2025 Review: Because I've had physical therapy twice before (Shoulder & Foot), I feel I…read morehave something to base my experience on. The location was a bit smaller than what I have experienced in the past. Sitting down at a community table to discuss my therapy & to have my bandage opened & changed among everyone else there was something I had never experienced before. Private health information & wounds were always cared for privately. Of course, the therapy itself was in a large open room similar to the one at Hale Hand Clinic... Karen was very kind and knowledgeable. I was pleased with my therapy & my progress thus far... Can't wait to see her Friday to show her what I can do now!! MARCH 2025 Review: PAPERWORK... Should be offered to be filled out BEFORE arriving. The first time I went in February, I had left-hand surgery & could still use my right hand to fill out the paperwork... However, less than a month later I had right-hand surgery and could NOT use my right hand to fill out paperwork. Thank goodness there was someone kind enough to fill out the paperwork for me, but if given the ability to fill out the paperwork online before the appointment - it would've been MUCH easier & more comprehensible! JUNE 2025 Review: I'm done! Both hands are feeling great! I needed some Iontophoresis therapy & that utilizes electrical currents to deliver corticosteroid through the skin, to reduce inflammation and pain in my hands. Karen would massage both hands (palms), wipe off the lotion with alcohol, inject the Dexamethasone onto a pad (with a built in battery) that was connected to the Iontophoresis machine (using electrical stimulation (electrodes). Ions in the substance use the charge of the electrical current to deliver the medication by repelling each other like magnets.), stick it to my hands, & then put the 2nd electrode pad will be filled with saline & placed on my arm to help conduct that electrical connection, so to speak... THERAPIST: Karen is Awesome! Sometimes there are double bookings of clients, but don't worry! For instance, when I was on the Iontophoresis machine, there wasn't anything she could do for me, so she was with someone else, but was always Very Close by to help if needed & pay attention... This place is Great!
