But moving onward, I cannot state enough how very professional, and warm, and friendly, and caring the staff at the surgery center was to assist my husband who is so greatly in dire need to have his cataracts removed. The ladies went beyond expectations to help us and to reassure us of the procedure and choice of their institution. Truly the difference from the first encounter to the encounter today was like night and day. These ladies all exemplified the utmost professionalism and warmth from the greeting at the front door. to meeting with Stephanie, the nurse, then on for measurements to be taken by Sandy and Angela and then to finalize everything with most efficient scheduling coordinator Cortney (she handles the booking for four different doctors) and still took her time to make it feel personal with very clear directions. We just applaud each and everyone of them. Sometimes you run into rotten eggs but how very wonderful to be pleasantly surprised when the others turn out to be golden prize eggs. We greatly appreciate the efforts from a scheduler, Miss Deborah and especially Mrs. Santiago. I went there months ago and bought two pairs of glasses one regular and one sunglasses both prescription obviously, but they are wrong and I can't wear them as they make me dizzy and sick to my stomach. I went back with the glasses today and they at first said my eyes changed. NO, I couldn't wear them from the start. So, they offered me a new appointment in19 days. I am over them and very disappointed and would like to have my money back and they can have the glasses, they sure aren't any good to me. And I have lost all confidence in them. read more

I saw three different people during my appointment. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a nice start. The person who did the eye measurements for my glasses worked very quickly, and the process felt rushed and incomplete compared to previous exams. As I read the letters, I kept saying they were blurry, but my comments were ignored. She didn't show me any photos or color tests, which other optometrists usually include--so that part felt lacking. When I finally saw the doctor, I had been waiting a while, but the appointment itself was extremely brief. He asked me what my prescription was for, which made it seem like he hadn't reviewed my file at all. That, paired with how fast the exam went, gave the impression that he was in a rush to finish and move on. What concerns me most is that the new prescription I was given is significantly different from my previous yesr one. It makes me question whether the exam was done accurately or thoroughly. Overall, the experience felt impersonal, rushed, and not up to standard. That, combined with how quickly the exam was over, gave the impression that he was in a rush to get me out the door. I recently had an eye appointment with Florida Eye. The first appt. was short but brief. They put me in a room for over 45 minutes with the door closed. Came in for 5 minutes and told me I needed another appt. This time i was in the waiting room for 45 minutes and no one came to take me. At 30 minutes, I went to the front desk and she told me 30 minutes was normal wait time after my schedule appt. time. Extremely bad scheduling of appts, and lack of respect of your own time. One lady told me she had an appt. that took over 4 hours. If you want a waste of your time and to be treated like something on a conveyor belt, schedule at your own risk. You don't want to know about the cataract surgery and lack of information they give you. read more

I've been going to Florida Eye Associates for over 2 years now, and the office staff are always so professional and friendly (the 509 E new haven location). The type of care I get is surgical outpatient, and I am done in less than 30 minutes every time. Dr Ross and his assistants are very comforting and reassuring, which does wonders for a wimp like me lol. I can rely on him to be patient with me every time. The billing department over the phone is cool too. It is sometimes hard to get ahold of someone, but they are nice when we finally talk. I've had no billing issues whatsoever. Overall, I am happy I found this place to take care of my needs. read more

I have a previous pair of glasses from there. 4 years and I needed a new pair. Had an exam April 4th. Optical was closed as the person had an emergency. This is at the Cocoa Bch office on a Friday. So Saturday I went to the Melbourne office to pick out my glasses....no one in optical and was told the person scheduled must of not known to be there. I was told I could wait an hour or so because the manager Ross should be in. It's a Saturday and this is my second attempt to pick out my glasses. I had a commitment already that day. So I left. I waited until the following Friday due to my work schedule. Went to the Cocoa bch office. Picked out my glasses..."they should be ready 7-10 days" "Stacy" was the person who waited on me. Exactly 10 days. I left work early on a Thursday. WRONG GLASSES! I paid $1,000 for them. So Stacy knew they were wrong and redone the order. Another 10 days. I go on a Friday around 2pm. The pair of glasses looked like someone just took and twisted them. Stacy tried to straighten them while she was talking under her breath and swearing "fkn" So them I said maybe I should just get a refund. Stacy says: "you'll only get back half" I said, "it's not my fault that none of these glasses have been right. Then she said I could go to the Melbourne office and have someone there try to fix them. They were already damaged! So I decided I'll try. I went to the Melbourne office which is a 40 minute drive. I go in and a young lady, didn't get her name. She straightend them as best she could...by then I can barely see through them. I leave. I go back the next day Saturday "Lisa" was there and she messed with them. I left. I wore them at work on Monday. Went straight to Melbourne office to get them adjusted again! "Ross the manager messed with them and another man that was there also did. I left. I couldn't hardly drive with them on. Went to work the next day and they were horrible. I couldn't do my job at all, I could not see through them. When I got home I called my credit card company and started a dispute for a refund. So by now the next day it's May 16, 2025. I go to the Melbourne office to see the manager "Ross". Told him I'm returning the glasses and I need on paper saying i returned them. He was getting difficult, and then said "I don't give a full refund" that's when I said I'm in dispute to get my refund. He pushed the glasses aside and said "ok, goodby" I sat there and asked him again for something to show I returned the glasses. I got my paper. All of this started April 11 - May 16th. I received my refund from the card. Now today in the mail I received a bill for $1,000. I don't even have the glasses. Beware of this company. i explained the situation to the card company and was refunded and now I'm going to have to deal with this for something that was not my fault to begin with. I also used my insurance card for my exam with the ophthalmologist. Also going back to Ross he even said the prescription wasn't right and said I need to get another exam. Well my insurance was used for the first one, for what? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. read more

I feel Dr Weiser is very professional and really cares about his patients! He may seem distant at times, but is studying your test results. I feel the staff when you come in can be more friendly and acknowledge your presence. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I was prescribed glasses by them and they made my vision worse, even after having the prescription made 3 times at two different places including the eyeglass store at Florida Eye Associates Palm Bay. Dr. Wang told me after checking my eyes that I did not need to have cataract surgery and she emphatically warned me that I could go blind having cataracts removed, which was the first time I had ever heard of such a thing. I went to a different Optometrist after my vision worsened and he told me I definitely did need Cataract surgery, and referred me to a surgeon who removed Cataracts from both my eyes and and now my vision is 20/20. I recently purchased prescription eye glasses this past November thru my Davis benefits, then switched to glasses with nose pads in Dec. at the suggestion of Cindy in optical. since I have min nose bridge. Multiple visits to try and correct. Was assured script was correct but no one checked for me. Says one thing and changed the next. Progressive script Takes a while to focus and Refocus. BAD She suggested I keep them as back up. i gave a couple of ideas to correct issue but none were accepted and non were given! I have been a patient at Florida Eye for over 10 years and they have been unfailingly professional in all aspects of their practice from routine eye exams to more serious emergencies. Despite the fear and anxiety that a visual problem can cause the kind people at Florida eye are always there to peel you off the ceiling and make you whole again. The triage folks that answer the phones have never failed to be polite and caring and their voices have been a comfort in stressful situations. The ophthalmologists have held my hand through cataract surgery but really won my confidence during a recent retinal emergency. Dr Adams was wonderful not only in treating me but proved to be a kind and considerate person as I watched him deal with the other emergency patients around me. I also would like to mention the technical staff who did my various scans because they were great. read more

Falsification of medical procedures to pad insurance company reimbursements. Charged $110 for a 'Sensorimotor Exam' that consisted solely of the physician requesting the patient 'follow his finger.' Per requirements, this code 92060 requires physician graphing of results on several grids. There was no graphing, nothing more than a street cop would check during a roadside sobriety test. Filed complaint with the insuror who requested office records. Office manager stated they did not have to comply since they had already received payment from the insurance company. Then again, their waiting room has a median patient age of approximately 75 so I would imagine few people review or contest their charges. read more

Florida Eye Associates is not a patient-first organization that places emphasis on its incoming patients' quality of life and access to life-improving treatment as its claims department focuses solely on reimbursement relationships with insurances. After receiving feedback from the supervisory staff of the claims department about their "non-par" relationship with my insurance as a result of low reimbursement rates, I worked with my insurance to establish a Single Case Agreement with Florida Eye Associates that would assist the organization with negotiating a rate that would be mutually agreeable and bound by contract. I worked diligently to get this agreement done because one of the in-network physicians performs a procedure that I need for my eye that is hard to find in this area of Florida. The supervisor of the claims department aggressively refused to negotiate a Single Case Agreement with my insurance (even with my insurance-appointed care coordinator on the line who advocated for the Single Case Agreement). I've been trying to get my eye treated with Florida Eye Associates for the past two months to no avail. Today, they demonstrated horrible customer service and an inhumane inflexibility to negotiating contracts with the insurances they are in-network with. read more

Dr. Ross is the very best! I had surgery last Wednesday and I am so grateful for his kind manner and excellent "chair-side" manner. He talked me through each step of the procedure, reassuring me that all was well, and telling me each time there may be a little burning or a little hurt and how it would only last a few seconds. Made an appointment for 815am for a lasik consultation. Arrived at 8am to fill in new patient paperwork. They informed us after waiting until 845am that they are waiting on the technician that does the lasik to come over form their other office across the street. Absolutely ridiculous making patients wait so long to be seen for their appointment. They even make you sign a paper saying that if YOU are late or miss an appointment there will be a $25 fee charged. What about my lost time that I took off of work to be here waiting for your late employee. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. This business does not deserve the $4900 quoted price of the lasik after being this unprofessional. For being one of the first appointments of the day this is ridiculous. I highly doubt that the technician was actually in the building across the street and was instead just plain late to work. read more

Struggled to wait in the office with my mom for her follow up in the office after cataract surgery due to severe mold issues in the building. Triggered my mold allergy severely and ended up with chest tightening almost into an asthma attack. This is rare for me and only happens in very poorly maintained buildings. This place is a very very bad bad business to deal with. I came in for a appointment and they weren't busy at the time and I was called 1 hour later. They charge you for a service that you don't even recognize them doing. I was charged for a refraction charge when I didn't ask them to do a refraction. I was charged for a "evaluation" on contact lenses. I was charged for all of this even after they tried to charge the insurance company. When they tell you you aren't charged for anything, they then send you a bill in the mail asking for payment. Their hidden charges aren't upfront with the customer. I took 3 days off from work as they were going to check one more time and do surgery next day. I was told they only do up to +3 when I got there! I drove from Leesburg -2 hours for this! I went to Florida Eye Associates a few times now and was provided the same incompetent Dr. Wong (3) times. I have a issue with one of my eyes in which it was irritated constantly for several weeks. Wong's diagnosis caused blurring of my eye and never correct the irritation in my eye. Her response, "there is nothing i can do". After paying the Copay and for medication of $75, a few weeks later because of what she requested i do to fix my eye caused me to rub something foreign in my eye. I now have a foreign object in my eye causing me pain.So I went back and was stuck with the same crappy Dr. Wong and described to her it feels like a sliver is in my eye and hurts. She checked again using a tool to shine a light into my eye and said there is nothing she can do. The pain is behind my eye and she told me to go get a 2nd opinion and charged me another copay for the say issue. She used no tool like an x-ray or to examine behind my eye where the object is felt. She was literally exploiting your insurance and will cost you money. DO NOT waste your time if she is your doctor. read more

Went for an initial visit and paid a co-pay, went back 4 days later for the same condition and was told that there would not be an additional co-pay only to receive a bill in the mail. Not happy at all. I needed prisms applied to my glasses and delivered them to the Melbourne office. Was told it would be a 1-2 day procedure. I had a trip to go on and came back and went to pick my glasses up 1 1/2 weeks later only to find that they weren't ready. Worse, they hadn't even been sent out to the lab to be applied until over a week after I dropped them off. That day I was assured they would be ready by Friday. Well Friday came and I still don't have them! Now, they won't be ready until Monday!!! If I could give 0 stars that would be too gracious for this incredibly mismanaged company. This office is a rip-off for Florida seniors. I should have been there for one visit and a copayment of $55. The doctor asked me to schedule a return visit for the remaining testing. I was okay to accommodate them if they couldn't finish that day, so I scheduled a return visit. They billed me a second $55 copayment to return (for THEIR convenience) and a $35 copayment EACH time for testing...a total of $180 in copayments. And on my second visit, they made me wait for over an hour in the front because they wouldn't take me back for the tests until they could confirm my insurance, even though it was my SECOND visit. read more
