We had the BEST experience at Florentin Bakery. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly sweet -- we literally felt like we made friends by the time we left. The girls working there were so warm and welcoming and truly made us feel at home. The food was amazing -- you can really taste the quality. The dough is made from scratch and the sambusas are made fresh to order, which makes such a difference. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and comforting. I recently visited Florentin bakery for the first time after finding it on a whim on Apple Maps and loved it! I had the Shakshuka, which is very decently sized and accompanied by slices of sourdough bread, tomato cucumber salad, olives, and tahini. My friend had the shakshuka pretzel and really enjoyed her meal as well. All of the food came out quickly. I also had a zaatar feta pastry, which was my favorite item of the visit - I ended up ordering more to take home! I was simply walking in the neighborhood I saw a bakery off Stirling rd so I thought what the heck. Staff were very friendly. A mix of decadent pastries to more savory pastries. One thing I will say is they didn't have a lot of flavors but what they did focus on is quality of ingredients. Mediterranean chic. It's a quaint little cafe if you're in the area. Several times a week I drive by this plaza and notice a kosher bakery slammed with cutomers sitting in the outside patio. Today, I was in the area and had to try this bakery. The parking lot was tight but it was very busy at 930am. The inside was super modern and also extremely busy with plenty of staff. The pastries were huge and the chocolate croissants really looked good so I bought one for $2.60 and sat outside on the patio. The chocolate was moist and the exterior was perfectly flaky. The bathroom was very clean with wooden flooring and a white vessel sink. I will return for a coffee and an apple almond strudel. read more

This is a really nice place. A hidden gem that once you come in you feel like you're not in Hollywood anymore. The ambiance is really nice. Everything look so fresh. I came in and got the mocha white chocolate which was good but I didn't really taste the white chocolate. Everything was really nice of this place. Nice quiet ambiance. Baked goods looks appetizing. The guy was very friendly. One lady seemed rough around the edges the way she handled my food and the other young lady was brushing her hair. Neither looked willing to help customers ordering. The pizza stick was great. The croissants were very light and fluffy. The almond croissant was warm and delicious. This place is cashless but no receipt was given. I'm not sure how they came up with the pricing. I will probably not return again. There are other kosher bakeries close by that have a better staff. I have been on the hunt for the best bakery and croissants in this area since moving near by. When I saw the reviews I was so excited. My boyfriend and I were greeted by the baristas and helped out by a brunette who explained to us how the purchasing the pastries worked. It's by weight I believe $2.99 /lbs and some where sold individually. We ordered a almond, chocolate, potato bourekas, chocolate rugelach, ricotta pastry and a black olive and ricotta stick. We also ordered a hot oat milk latte. The first girl was lovely and friendly while our cashier was a guy with cool glasses who was a bit standoffish and not welcoming. The pastries were okay. The standouts must haves would be the ricotta pastry and the black olive stick. We really enjoyed the flakiness the buttery ness and the flavor overall. It was delicious! The remainder of the pastries were a bit sad and lacking in flavor. The almond was so bland it hurt. The potato was actually okay it just needed more seasoning and I wish it was warmed up! This is a bakery with a salad bar. This is my first time here. I personally can't pass a bakery without feeling the guilt of not trying it and so I stopped by. As I first walked in, the eye sight can't help to move to the long display counter located to the right. It is packaged with interesting goodies. Some I that i have never tried or seen before but must try. I noticed a large open window towards the back. You can see the other side of the bakery. Its where the magic happens. I was told. It's the area where they freshly make or bake the yummy things here. It must be so cool to see them baking. I pointed to things and before I noticed I walked out with three bags. I will be back to try the other things soon. That is a fact. I got the chocolate rugelach. It tasted like dark chocolate. It also had an interesting after taste. To me it tasted almost like a liquor. It was good and I liked it. It defenetly was a diferent then the other rugelach I had in the past. I tried cheese triangles. The crust was exelent. It tasted just made. It was nice and flaky. The cheese tasted good and I good portion. My favorite thing was a spiral like round pastry. It was not a sweet thing. It looked like a cinnamon bun. It tasted like a good pizza sauce. That was very good. I bought a baklava. It was delicious. It had plenty of syrup and tasted fresh. I also bought three other things in the baklava similar family, I think. I liked it all. It was sweet and good. I was later told by someone that this particular bakery uses authentic spices from I don't remember where and so that is the reason why the bake goods taste diferent and way they do. Keep it up. Red Hook Bakers is a kosher/parve bakery in Hollywood. The bakery is bigger on the inside then what the outside leads you to believe. They've got two or three (partially covered) tables outside & about four/five tables inside. They have a nice modern industrial decor. It's clean, organized & the staff is helpful & friendly. The day I visited the bakery, they had a variety of mini pastries, croissants & breads. They also had a few varieties of (whole) cakes in their refrigerated case. I decided on a box of two mini apple, two mini vanilla custard, two mini cinnamon swirl pastries & two mini croissants. The box of pastries came out to $6 with tax. The pastries & croissants were delightful. The dough on the pastries was soft & fluffy and the fillings were delicious. I only wish their was more of it. The croissants were flaky on the outside & soft on the inside. The mini assorted pastries are only $6.99lb. Completely reasonable & totally worth it. Enjoyable pastries good for anytime of day (breakfast, afternoon coffee/tea, as a snack or an after dinner slightly sweet treat). read more

Not sure where the disconnect is occurring. You place a delivery order and they forget to pack 1/2 the items and what they do send is not what you ordered. Stop being greedy and just cancel the delivery order. The prices are sky high and you can't even get a delivery order correct. Hands down, the best bagel I have ever had. The pastries looked delectable, but my husband and I were on a mission to get a bagel and coffee before our journey to The Keys. We winced a bit when we saw that a bagel with cream cheese also came with mozzarella, but we were eating our words with every bite of the greatest bagel on the planet. I always like the feeling of walking into a bakery with the sweet smells, waiting for your ticket to be called, friendly counter help and walking out with a white box of fresh treats with a nicely tied string. It seems to me small independent bakeries are decreasing nowadays due to the big supermarkets. I absolutely love finding these authentic bakeries like Red Hook; whether they are Cuban, Jewish, Italian, French, etc. My sweet tooth is definitely multi culti. I spoke with the Red Hook bakery staff and they get their ingredients directly from Israel. They make all sorts of Kosher goodies from rugelach to cookies to breads to bobka. I think their price point is fair, most items are weighed and you pay for what you get. I really loved the cookies, they are super fresh and delicious. Some unique items have halvah (toasted sesame seed paste) in the cookies. I have never seen that before, but went great with the chocolate. Another new one for me, a Jerusalem style bagel. It was huge, had a touch of sweetness and toasted sesame seeds. They also have a full coffee bar, will try that next time. They make special items only on Fridays - fresh challah and bobka.
