My husband and I used Floral Heights as our flower vendor last month and I have nothing but good things to say about them! Charlotte is great and she helped make my wedding floral vision come true! I looked at another florist but even though they always have gorgeous flowers (and they've been a local go-to flower shop of mine), they were way over my budget... about 2-3k above my budget, to be exact. For the same services and still with beautiful floral arrangements, Floral Heights did the job perfectly and at a fraction of the cost. We had table centerpieces, bridal/bridesmaid bouquets, bridal flower crown, groom/groomsmen/father boutonnières, mother corsages, and flowers for the wedding cake. During our meetings, we altered the flowers a bit, and the end result was perfect. I could not ask for more. Flowers were gorgeous, fresh, and fragrant. Charlotte delivered the flowers herself and even helped me put on my flower crown. It was beautiful. Even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We ordered a semi last minute bouquet to send my mom during Christmas, but we didn't want a Christmas theme or colors. We picked the Feel The Love middle level, more than basic, less than deluxe. She absolutely LOVED them. I'm still getting messages from her about them. She doesn't know how to take pix with her phone and I'm across the country. So I'll take her word that they are spectacular. I received a birthday phaelenopsis Orchid as a gift from Floral Heights on Friday, Jan 15, 2021. It was delivered very late in the afternoon after the shop closed. Since I am 74 with brain cancer and trying to avoid Covid, I did not let the messenger into the building, despite his asking if I wanted help unwrapping the plant. I brought the plant inside and immediately removed the opaque, green floral paper, stapled together around the plant's branches to view my beautiful present...BUT along with that green paper, off came the entire bloom shoot with all the blooms and buds! It was broken off...leaving only the plant with its naked stem attached to a stake. I was dumbfounded! I immediately called Floral Heights to alert them to the tragedy. Since they were closed I left a message. Shortly thereafter the original messenger showed up again at my door. He said he had been called by the owner to check on the orchid. So now I had to let him in to my apartment to see it. His comment was that I must've broken the stem when unwrapping the paper. I disagreed since I frequently buy orchids and understand their structure and fragility and would not likely handle one in a rough manner. But since the entire plant was covered with green paper there was no way to see what was beneath the paper, or if it possibly was not correctly packaged. Regardless, I assumed the $100 orchid would be replaced by the shop and told the messenger as much. The next afternoon the owner called me to discuss the problem. Since I was in a meeting I requested she call back. She never called back and I left a second message the following Monday. Meanwhile my cousin who purchased the plant called Floral Heights to complain. The owner never called me back and refused to make good with a refund or a replacement. Even worse, without an apology. Though am 74 years old this is my first review for anything. If you want to take a chance on a gift to someone you care about, I do not recommend this shop. You can buy better orchids for $20 from Trader Joe's 2 blocks away. You'll save $80 and they won't botch the packaging! read more

I had no idea what I wanted for flowers to the point where I was debating going very minimal for the bridal party. But, I didn't want to be boring because today is the day to be a little extra. We met with Charlotte and discussed the vibe of the wedding and how I was dressing the bridesmaids and groomsmen in black with pops of autumn color - gold and red embroidery on my friend's sari, cranberry colored ties, orange striped socks - these are bold colors to balance. I wasn't going to be a roses, lilies and baby's breath kinda gal. She pulled it off beautifully. She gently steered me from anemones towards these awesome Seussian proteas and green purple orchids with single sunset colored blooms for the boys. Not happy, just ordered a $90 order of flowers for my daughters birthday. And it didn't come in a vase!! The photo shows the bouquet in a clear square vessel. When I called the guy was very like whatever snd even laughed when I said it's false advertising to show it one way and deliver it another way. I then said we'll do you sell vases snd he responded yes....I then asked if it didn't come in a vase the description should say do, and or have it as an add on. No answer :( I've never ever had a $90 flower order being delivered not come in a vase??? Also the picture of the flowers, u don't know if that's a small, Med or large, o ordered the medium(delux) and it has the same exact flowers as what I'm assuming is the small bouquet. (3) by Saturday entire arrangement was dead - less than 48 hours what kind of quality is that?! The arranger should be ashamed of seeing no wrong in selecting flowers for an arrangement that are already dying. The person responsible for reviewing orders should be ashamed of approving something with their store name on it that looked so poor. The delivery person should be ashamed for transporting something that doesn't look right and didn't speak up. I hope the person who ordered this for me receives a full refund. I ordered 2 bouquets over the telephone and when I arrived to pick them up I was so pleasantly surprised. I ordered them as gifts for my sons' teachers, and therefore had very specific needs about color and stem. They accommodated me and had the bouquets ready when promised. They even helped me package them so I could walk them to the school without bruising the blooms. They have great selection (I was picky about the stems) and competitive prices (I called around). This is the most lovely florist. First of all, the flowers they delivered to me were just exquisite. But even more important was the service. A lovely called named Joanne called several times before delivery to make sure someone would be able to receive the gift. And then she called to confirm the flowers had been delivered. I had the great pleasure of working with Charlotte, the owner of Floral Heights, for my wedding at the end of October. I took in some photos of bouquets I liked, as well as a picture of my dress and that of my maid of honor and only attendant. Charlotte was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and absolutely spot on with her suggestions for the bouquets, boutonnieres, and arrangements for the church. She pulled some flowers she had on hand in the shop and put them together to give me an idea of what she envisioned for my bouquet, and I left my initial appointment happy I'd made the right decision and excited to see everything come together on my wedding day. The pricing for all the flowers was extremely reasonable and much less than what I'd expected and encountered elsewhere in NYC. I couldn't have been more pleased!! The flowers were simply gorgeous and stunning. Every detail was perfect. Having done arrangements in the past for the church where my husband and I got married (Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn Heights), Charlotte knew what would work against the backdrop of all the dark wood in the sanctuary, and the arrangements were beautiful. My bouquet and my maid of honor's bouquet were absolutely gorgeous. They were creative in the use of different shades and textures, yet timeless, classic, and elegant to suit the overall feel of the wedding. I had expected to be happy given the preview Charlotte had given me the day I met with her, but she more than exceeded my expectations. Everyone commented on how beautiful all the flowers were, and even our officiant asked who had done the flowers as he plans to recommend Floral Heights to other couples. I would absolutely recommend Charlotte and her shop for weddings and any other floral arrangements. She was always kind and responsive to my emails and is an all around sweetheart of a person with a great sense of humor. Complete liars. I ordered flowers from Teleflora.com which were to be delivered by these yahoos on Valentine's Day. Instead they didnt bother delivering the flowers till the day after Valentine's day, thus ruining my surprise. They actualy had the audacity to call my girlfriend instead of me to tell her they would not deliver it on time. They never called me. I also paid extra to have them delivered on V-day! I called teleflora who did not answer their phone so I emailed them and over a week later they finally get back to me to tell me that the florist told them they delivered the flowers on Valentines day...LIARS, There is a whole firm of attorneys who can attest that they were delivered the day after. I had to go through my credit card to get a refund due to the dishonesty and incompetence of this florist and Teleflora. PEOPLE I AM WARNING YOU NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE EVER. I've read the Dr. Seuss Happy Birthday Book to my daughter since she was a kid. When she moved to Brooklyn, I asked Charlotte if she could make an arrangement in the style of Dr. Seuss. She had lots of fun with the assignment. Unfortunately someone from my daughter's building took the arrangement. I am absolutely stunned seeing how the owner of this store reacts to a critique. My husband bought me a an orchid which was put in a wrong pot, one absolutely not suited for orchid. As anyone even mildly educated in orchid knows, orchid grows as a parasyte on trees, therefore, it's roots need an acces to air. Threfore, putting an orchid into a fully closed even if very expensicve pot will eventually kill the plant. When we came to the store the owner accused us of killing the plant and wouldn't even have a look on the pics of the roots that I had on my cell phone. To top it off her delivery boy told us quoting "Why don't you get the hell out of here!" Just to mention a detail, he said that to me, my husband and my one year old boy. They were wonderful! I placed an order out of state and found their website very easy to use. On the scheduled delivery date, they were unable to reach the recipient on the home phone I provided. They called me in Illinois to get an alternate number to reach her at. When they caught up with her and learned that she was out of town for a long weekend, they offered to make a new arrangement and deliver it when she returned. Today, I received a photo of the actual completed arrangement and later a confirmation that it was successfully delivered. I would highly recommend them.
