This is the second time in a row my husband spent an exorbitant amount on a bouquet from here only to deliver partially dead flowers to me. It's Mother's Day and he bought the bouquet yesterday evening. Half of the flowers are so wilted I had to discard them. The flowers my son bought from a Brooklyn convenience store look much better. I walked in to get flowers for a friend who recently lost their father. The person working, who stared at me suspiciously from the moment I walked in, asked what my price point was. I told her and she smugly laughed telling me I wouldn't find what I was looking for there. The flowers looked great but I left feeling pretty embarrassed. read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I worked with both Mandy and Hunter to plan for my daughter's wedding. They both made excellent recommendations and were prompt and professional in all their communications. I had an aggressive estimate from another florist that I was considering and they are able to match it. Hunter showed at the venue on time and did an amazing job. I had planned for a certain number of wine bottles to be set up for the tables and other surfaces. I mistakenly brought many more bottles. Hunter was able to fill them all and the entire venue was filled with beautiful flowers everywhere! Since the ceremony area later converted to the reception space, he communicated with the venue coordinator to ensure that the placements be executed perfectly. I don't give 1 star reviews unless a business truly goes well out of there way to earn it and Banchet did just that. They are incompetent, rude, and quite frankly have a terrible selection for a high price. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a nice bouquet so I did a random walk-in to Banchet since it was literally next door to where I lived. A gentleman helped me out, I told him my $400 budget and pointed out exactly which flowers I wanted (white peonies are my gf's favorite and purple orchids. They didn't have white peonies but they had a slightly pinkish peony which I was ok with. The purple orchid I pointed exactly which one and the gentleman said OK). My main point I stressed on with the gentleman was NO PINK PEONIES since my girlfriend hates pink!!! I received the bouquet from my doorman. IT WAS ALL PINK PEONIES. I called Banchet where the owner answered and said mistakes never happen and to bring the bouquet back down and they will remake it. I came back down with the heavy bouquet and the SAME GENTLEMAN that took my order in the first place told me that the flowers I wanted are no longer available. Literally the same guy that said OK and recommended the flowers I initially wanted, now is saying the flowers I wanted were only for a special holiday. He offered to make another bouquet as an exchange for the prior mishap, when I asked what flowers he would use, he was going to end up putting together a bunch of horrible flowers I didn't want. I exploded in anger at the guy and he said it was a mistake on Ms. Banchet's part since she made the flowers. He said I would get a call from her to discuss a refund......... Never received a call back. I called them on multiple occasions and never an answer. Disputed the charges on my credit card and it ended up being resolved because they never responded to my credit card company. These guys are very incompetent and do not listen and don't even have a good selection of flowers. If you walk into their store, you will only find mediocre looking flowers at a very expensive price. Horrible businesspeople, horrible selection, terrible execution. There are much better florists around Chelsea area. read more

Disclaimer: I can only attest to the event hosting of Banchet Bianca Flowers My cousin held her wedding ceremony and reception at Banchet Flowers. I was originally skeptical about how you could host a wedding reception at what is essentially an upscale floral shop. If you're hosting a small gathering, then go for it. + (1) flowers are top of the line (according to my aunt who prepared the floral arrangements for my sister's wedding) (2) trendy as you can get for NYC deltas (1) small! there were ~125 guests and it felt like we were at maximum capacity. the area where the ceremony was held was turned into part of the reception area with a few small tables. this made it IMPOSSIBLE to hold a proper sit down dinner. instead hor' dourves were served all night (2) layout. the space available is L shaped, with the base of the L holding the bar and the vertical line holding small tables....in between is the entrance and bathrooms. this cause major separation of the party guests i'm sure the venue rental was $$$$, but why not spend it elsewhere like....the 620 loft & garden at 30 rock (shameless GE plug) read more

I must say, this flower shop is the best I have ever seen! It is right where it belongs, in the heart of NYC! I walked by after a stroll on The High Line about 3 months ago. Since then, I have used them for nearly 30 orders. They use the most amazing flowers. The cut orchids are some I've never seen, and I have been in the event and flower business on and off for 20 years. The owner, Banchet, was in the store my first time stopping by. She can be a little strong at first, but is really a sweetie. She has a tall, handsome guy working for her who seemed to be very helpful and knew his stuff. That first day, I walked out with the most amazing bouquet I could have come up with. The friends I was staying with said "That's just what you'd expect from Banchet's Flower shop..." So, tall guy, if you ready this, CUDOS to you and keep up the good work. The space also holds events. They were getting ready for one that night. What a spot to get married in... or have a baby shower?! I wish I was of child baring age again... Hoping this gives everyone out there a little more push to go with the best! read more

I've gotten flowers from Banchet for about a year now. There were a few times in which the flowers I received died right away but they would replace them each time so I kept ordering from them. I received extremely expensive orchids for a birthday party I was throwing - and they completely died in 3 days - the leaves turned yellow and the flowers fell off. I called them and they had someone pick up the flowers. They called the next day to say that they didn't have the orchids I ordered anymore. I said okay just please process a refund. They said no - they would not give me a refund but I could order other flowers from them. They sent me photos and I didn't like any of them - none were similar to the previous flowers I received. I told them I didn't like any and they still would not give me a refund. I was told the store owner would call me and she never did. I left voicemails and still nothing. One day I finally got her and she said she would look into it and give me a call back. She never did. I called again and left a voicemail and still nothing. I finally got in touch with her one day and she told me that she already said she would not give me a refund. The flowers were hundreds of dollars, they died 3 days later, they couldn't be replaced - and I still couldn't get a refund?! That is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Incredible. Banchet did the flowers for our wedding and they were stunning. Everyone commented on the elegance, chicness and uniqueness of the arrangements. She and her team did the entire set up and made sure that everyone received their corsages and boutonnieres. She even picked out, and attached to bobby pins, the perfect flowers for my hair. She thought of everything and transformed an already beautiful venue into the perfect place for our wedding ceremony and reception. Banchet also does the best "every day" (or not so "every day") bouquets in the City (and it has been the only place that my now husband has bought flowers for me since we moved to Chelsea). I wish I could give 10 stars. I can't say enough good about Banchet Flowers and the truly amazing people working there. I recently had an event there and they went above and beyond. They were so easy to work with, very professional and do amazing work. The space was stunning and breathtaking the way they set it up with the gorgeous flowers and even put up candles for us! All our guests commented on how amazing it was. If you need a place for a smaller event (around 100 people) in NYC, there's no better place to do it. ...Or if you need gorgeous flowers for any reason, you will not be disappointed by their product and service. I just called Banchet Flowers because I am looking for a ceremony and reception space for my wedding. i cannot believe how unbelievably rude the person on the phone was. Dismissive and snide. Banchet Flowers is a hot, trendy shop in the oh-so-chic Meat Packing district. I get it. But it's not an excuse to treat people like crap on the phone when I'm just making an inquiry. I have been looking for a venue for a while so i have my schpeel down. I don't ask stupid questions and I don't repeat myself. There was no reason for the Banchet Flower employee to be that rude to me. Thanks so much snot-nosed Banchet Flowers. I'll take my business elsewhere! Living in Chicago I needed to send flowers to dear friends in New York. After locating Banchet through some on line research, I ordered a beautiful arrangement expecting it for a next day delivery. I was totally delighted to see that my friends received the arrangement that same evening - amazing customer service!
