Pretty spot but would not come back. Service needs to improve. Had reservation but they didn't even ask for our name, etc. Once we were seated, no one greeted us, not even a "we will be with you shortly". It wasn't even crowded and we were sitting there waiting for a bit. No water even. Went to get someone at the front so we can put in our drinks order. They are located in the AC Hotel rooftop. They have reservations, but they also welcome walk-ins. I came with no reservations and was seated instantly. There is an indoor area and the rooftop with the fire pit. They have food and drinks here, but I stayed for drinks. The vibe was nice and when I was here the was like music! You can't see the planes landing from here, but still such a relaxing atmosphere. Service was a little on the slower side because there was one server. read more

Arrived at 8 PM with a reservation that was not honored. The seating was uncomfortable. I observed some guests eating from their laps. Hosted a private engagement party here this summer. It could not have been any more spectacular! To say it exceeded our expectations would be the understatement of the century. I worked with Anne Wolk, AC Marriott's Event manager, to plan all of the details. She was incredible....always responsive and helpful in every capacity. The party went off without a hitch. You cannot beat the venue...it speaks for itself...but the service and food were equally great (I highly recommend the taco bar)! Huge shoutout to Zaine, who oversaw the event that night, and Dezirae, who bartended. We were so lucky to have such a great staff on hand, who attended to our every need and beyond. We even planned a baby shower for their downstairs venue (The AC Lounge) the following week. This venue is definitely the crown jewel of the South Bay. I highly recommend!!!! Why should you go here? 1. It's a gorgeous set up with lots of plants and a long fire pit that acts as both ambiance snd warmth. It doesn't feel like you're so close to the airport. 2. Flora fries - get extra aioli...trust me. 3. Delicious drinks. I tried the frozen paloma and it was great. Nothing wrong with a glass of bubbly either. Only small downfall are the operating hours are limited, currently from 4pm-10pm. Hopefully that changes one day! Enjoyed a wonderful early dinner here while waiting for my mom to arrive at LAX. Beautiful rooftop setting with great service, nice warm fire pits and lovely plants surrounding the dining space. We loved our Spicy Watermelon Margaritas made with Ghost habanero tequila, fresh watermelon juice, lime, and agave. We also enjoyed the blistered Shishito Peppers with a delicious and spicy Habanero Aioli and the chicken wings were incredible!!! Super crispy with a delicious parmesan garlic sauce. Stayed here and decided to come to the roof top. The ambiance is niiice!! When night time hits they have a projector TV on the wall. They even have a cool photo booth that's free; you take the pic and email to yourself however we never received our pics! There is a 20% service charge that they don't mention when reserving for a larger party for the covered seating. Service: Ricky was great. Fun. Menu: limited. Drinks. Over priced and small. Food: 1.flora fries- good, they came with a dipping sauce 2. Spinach salad with shrimp. Delicious!! But over priced. $20: $12 + $8 for shrimp 3. Hummus. The person I was with said it was good. Overall the Flora Roof Top is best for ambiance. I would love to see better menu choices. The drink prices need to come down or the size needs to increase with less ice. We came here to have drinks with a friend from Scotland and he loved the place! The rooftop was great and had nice music playing. The fire pit that lines the center is a great staple piece. We had the truffle fries, veggies, and margarita pizza. I had the frozen Poloma on the rocks. Would come back and would recommend to others. read more

I went here for the first time yesterday with my friend, we came for a few drinks after an event - the ambience was nice and it was very nice rooftop. Very quiet was OK. The reason why I'm giving this place one star is due to the mold found on top of the water pitcher they gave us. My friend had asked one of the servers about it and she said " oh, it just needs some additional attention, but it's clean" and does not clean it or give us a new one. Literal mold!!!!!!!!! needless to say, we did not drink the water - I was scared to drink my alcoholic beverage. I had ordered after that. Will not be coming back here again. read more

Great aesthetics! I love the flowers everywhere and there were plenty of heaters to keep warm by on a cold winter night. The drinks are pretty although slightly pricey but that's to be expected from a place like this. It's a rooftop bar on the top of a hotel. There's street parking or valet parking at the hotel. There were plenty of signs inside the hotel to direct you where to go. Customer service was okay, the waitress seemed a bit bored and unenthusiastic when I asked about the cocktail menu. Like we made dinner reservations, we got there, you walk in the bar first and the bartender just basically yelled at us straight off the bat. "Don't go in there! Do you have a reservation?" "Yes" "ok wait there" He did not check us in He did not ask us our name It didn't matter that we had a reservation. He did not explain anything, he could have said "we're really busy right now, it's going to be a little bit of a wait, sorry, please wait here." So we waited, with no context, for 20 minutes. Then they sat us, finally, and we waited there for 30 minutes, at the table. At least we had water. We saw people that sat next to us get served, when the server brought their food she said "do you want another drink" and we STILL DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING. At this point, we knew the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes and the server FINALLY came and asked us if we need anything... we said "you know, we haven't had any service at all for 45 minutes and were actually going to leave" So we left. Never got service. Absolutely terrible. Don't go here. read more

The sliders are excellent and the only gripe I have it thar they need to an an extra server and not run the only one they had raggedy. Went on a Monday night with coworkers and it was fairly busy. I agree with other reviews saying that the ambiance is nice, the food/drinks are delicious, but the service was quite slow. It was solely due to the server being spread too thin covering the entire roof, though. We were a 10+ large group, which is difficult in itself--but the whole roof! She needs some help! Also, coworkers I attended the bar with were kind of baffled at how small the beer glasses were (to the point where it became a running joke). Had a 3:30pm reservation on Mother's Day. When we arrived for our reservation we were told that the restaurant would be closing at 4 and they had to confirm if the kitchen could provide food. I explained that we'd made a reservation. The waitress/bartender shared that they'd send an email to all reservations to advise of the closing time. The thing you need to understand about Flora is this. Sure, the view is underwhelming. The service was terrible but the food- also not good. We were excited to try out Flora. When we got seated we had this weird sensation where the live DJ to one side was playing music that competed with music right below us out of the other ear. And so two different types of music, smashing up against each other was weird. The rooftop itself is fine enough but nothing to write home about. The service was lacking. There was a weird system where we had two people waiting on our table. One would come up and ask if we wanted something to drink. We'd order. Several minutes later the other person would walk up and ask if we wanted something to drink... ummm, we just ordered with the other person. That went on throughout the night. And despite the eagerness there the service was SLOW. We had two tables that got seated near us and after waiting so long for service just got up and left. Around that time, we had finished our food and been waiting for a long time for our check too. So I got up and went inside to look for a waitress. The drinks were underwhelming. Stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel, a quick walk took us to Flora. The place has great 360 views. We visited them on a Saturday evening, ambiance is off the charts. They even offer late nite specials that start at 9 until closing which was at 10. It was disappointing to have them close at 10, we were just getting started. We arrived at around 8:30 to the sounds of a live DJ which was awesome. The Waiters were nice but busy. Drinks were decent and the food was tasty. Overall I would come back when I'm in town, but it almost makes more sense to go to another establishment that stays open later so I won't have to leave and find another venue. Ok I love food so much but when it looks this beautiful it's hard to just go in and eat it :) this place was hands down so good from the food, the vibe, to the amazing drinks it was definitely a hit on the last day in California! We decided to try this place hours before our flight and this spot is a must if you're looking for something new to try before you head to LAX!! The hummus plate, sliders and cheese and meats were delicious!! 10/10 will be coming back again to try more food items!! There are people who have been here for 5-10 minutes, and the attention lacks. We ordered the cheese plate, iron steak, and sliders. Our drinks came so slowly. Our server asked if we still wanted them. I feel like she forgot to even place the order, and trying to make up for her mistake, she blamed it on the bartender. Food was okay. My steak came medium when I asked for it medium rare. Still good though. Cheese and fruit plate was okay, you can skip out on that. I don't know if I'd be back. This is our second time.
