From Day One on our request for information, Flora Fetish quickly replied with their interest in making our vision come to light. And truly they EXCEEDED our expectations. Since this was a long distance wedding to plan, Molly and Hattie made it easy with emails and zoom calls. I wanted a church wedding but The Driskill made more sense for me so I wanted to bring the church feel in. They sourced and made the most beautiful stained glass panels, just for me! It was a lot of labor and construction and they were flawless! They added in a lot of greenery and candles and made my ceremony the most spectacular thing. I could write a novel about this business! Where do I begin? We decided to do a surprise wedding in Austin for our friends and family. Last minute we tried to find a florist and Flora Fetish answered us right away being able to work out date. From the first meeting, Hattie, was such a delight to work with. Wow,I wish I could give Carrie a million stars! She and her team are a wedding-focused, floral designing shop but I had no clue that that was the case when I charged into her flower shop yesterday. To make a long story short, I was short on time and on the hunt for a flower shop because I had a bit of an unfortunate circumstance that required me to provide my girlfriend with a bouquet of 'I'm Sorry' roses. As I drove by Carrie's shop all I saw on her sign outside the shop was 'FLORIST'. So I made a quick u-turn and almost drove right into her shop practically scaring her to death. I frantically explained my situation to Carrie and even though she and her staff were right in the middle of putting together arrangements for an upcoming wedding, she showed the utmost compassion for my circumstance and completely stopped what she was doing to put together one of the most beautiful bouquets I've ever seen! Needless to say, my girlfriend was pleasantly surprised, very impressed with the arrangement and Carrie will always be at the top of my referral list for wedding floral designers. Carrie Beamer is a fabulous florist! I met with several other local florists while planning my June 2009 wedding, and Carrie was the only one with an eye for detail. She took the time to pull out color swatches and have me point out exactly what shade of each color I was using. Other florists would write down "purple" without asking specifics. My color scheme would have never come together had Carrie not been so thorough! Not only was she more attentive to my needs, her prices were competitive and her ideas much more creative than anyone else I spoke with. Carrie also called around and found peonies, though they were going out of season. I also can't say enough about the quality. There was not a single wilt anywhere to be found, and according to my bridesmaids who took centerpieces to work, and my MIL who kept my bouquet, the flowers lasted three weeks. Amazing! I was also so pleased with Carrie's personal service the day of my wedding. She was there early, had everything set up in good time, and stayed to make sure everyone in my family and all of our guests of honor were pinned well. I met with Molly once and the rest of the communication is on email. What a disappointment on the wedding date! Flora Fetish is not a cheap option for florists, so I really had great expectations for them. Here is the reason why: 1. When signing the contract, Molly said she and the other florist will be at the wedding to set up and do transitions. But they did not show up. At lease to my knowledge. Instead there is only a delivery girl on the wedding date. 2. Groom's boutonnière is the smallest among all the boutonnières they delivered. 3. My bridesmaids bouquets are much prettier than mine. 4. The floral piece on altar is even smaller than the floral piece on welcome sign. It is sooooo small, no one can see it. Flora Fetish is such a disappointment for my wedding date and I cannot believe I paid for such a premium for such disappointing services. ------------------------------------------------ After I posted this comment, Flora Fetish kept chasing me on changing this review, but that would not have changed the fact of what has happened during the wedding. read more

I can't believe this flower power sorceress only has two reviews! Oh no, no, no, this just will not do! Carrie Beamer was my wedding savior. I had to plan my Austin wedding from San Jose, California and it could have been more stressful than it was without Carrie. She was more than my florist, she was my design consultant and on-site designer, too. She met with my vendors on the day-of to make sure they were doing everything to plan. My reception was in two parts: a dining room and a post-dinner party room. That party room would have killed me if it weren't for her! She helped set it all up and made it very pretty and elegant. Need other reasons to trust Carrie? I met with her at the recommendation of a fellow reviewer and friend. I think Carrie has some kind of telepathic ability, because she seems to know exactly what you are envisioning in your mind when you speak words that may or may not make much sense. I wanted orchids, orchids, and more orchids, but I didn't want my flower costs to be out of control. She made her magic work for me that day, because there were orchids everywhere! My bouquet looked like butterflies! She used expensive, phalaenopsis orchids in the important areas and less expensive denbrobiums in other areas. She had a few other tricks up her sleeve, too. I remember leaving the wedding that night thinking the flowers and design were perfect! My mother-in-law STILL brags to her friends that my wedding was the prettiest she'd ever been to--and she was a member of a women's political organization that threw events all of the time back in the day.
