I don't even remember how I stumbled on them, but I was immediately drawn to the website (it's minimalist and clean) which featured arrangements overflowing with succulents. this seemed fun and unusual and I wanted my wedding to be that. as a part of our DIY decor, I folded about 200 origami cranes and wanted these to be included in all the arrangements. if I remember correctly, I kinda just dropped them off with Jenn and hoped for the best. holy shnikes did Pollen deliver! I mean, they literally delivered (I literally CRIED when I walked into the bridal suite at the venue in Driftwood). the flowers that I didn't even really care that much about or really even want (?? is that a thing?) were PERFECT. they were just so incredibly gorgeous. it was like these super-humans crawled in my brain and created my vision without me even knowing what that was. the cranes were so perfect. anyway, I wanted sunflowers and succulents and my wacky cranes and they just hit it out of the ballpark. The flowers do not arrive on Saturday. I leave a voice message Saturday at 3:30 pm, no response on Monday. Tuesday, I go the store ask for a refund, and am told they can't find the order, and they are closed on Saturday. I am asked to forward my e-mail receipt to an e-mail address, which I do (having the staff member confirm the e-mail is correct). 48 hours later, I've still received no phone calls or e-mails, and thus I've just disputed the charge with my credit card. No apologies provided to the Mrs., either. I've used them twice a year for a couple years as the Mrs. has been pleased with the flowers, and I've tolerated some minor issues (slightly late deliveries and somewhat comically, mylar balloons not being delivered for three separate orders, which has become a running joke). All that said, they don't seem particularly bothered that I haven't received my flowers or refund -- but I am. Good riddance!

I left a message and they called me back promptly with apologies and offered me a new bouquet! Even asked if I would like a different one so that I had a holiday center piece! I was ecstatic to have the option, noting to the woman on the phone that she was doing me a huge courtesy. They delivered them 2 days later. Great! Things got weird when they asked me to bring back the large vase that my original arrangement came in. The new arrangement was much smaller. They did offer to have their driver pick it up. I ended up dropping it off instead. This is were I decided to change my review. The two women I was thanking ended up laughing and insulting me. I explained that my co-worker was a florist at Whole Foods and received a RUDE response of laughing and comments about how quote, "That isn't a florist". They went on for long enough that I felt very awkward. This maybe how they feel about corporate flower arrangers but that needs to stay behind the scenes and not be passed along to me. They seem like a well established business and likely don't care about losing my business. Flowers cost a lot of money and should come with joy not gritted teeth.

Florals were a very important part of our wedding. We marked it as one of the highest priority…read moreitems and wanted to ensure that we found a florist who could replicate our shared vision. We approached the decor with the vibes of "a garden, but make it fall with a dash of whimsy and fantasy". Jen at Native Bloom was very quick to pick up on these vibes and delivered a quote with inspiration pictures that matched what we were looking for. Throughout the entire process, Jen was very easy to work with. We had a reasonable budget for the flowers and when there were aspects of her design that fell out of our price range, she quickly worked with us to find more cost-effective alternatives. We also collected a lot of vintage glassware for the table settings and were keen on having some of them used in the floral design. Jen was kind enough to meet us halfway between her shop and our home to pick up the vessels and incorporated them beautifully into the tablescapes. She provided fun suggestions to the floral design, including adding darker red tones to our dusty pink and sage green wedding colors and finding the perfect, fluffiest, most mystical moss to add to the tables. I was wary that they wouldn't do enough color with our palette since their social media has a lot of white/pastel/rosy hued florals, but they really knocked it out of the park with our color palette! We had various hues of purple as our primary color, with gold, warm yellows and burnt oranges as our secondary colors. While we did ask for more yellow/orange to be featured in our blooms since the rest of our decor focused on purple/gold, I thought there would be a little more varied purples in our arrangements. Was also hoping for a looser/more flowy bouquet, but what they created was still beautiful (design inspiration may have gotten lost in employee turnover since we'd been planning for 2+ years during the pandemic and they had some changes during that time.) Again, everything was still gorgeous and I loved the variety of color, textures and types of flowers used. It was fun, vibrant and unique. We added a tall install on our head table towards the end of the planning process and I'm glad we did because it made such a beautiful statement! I also liked the variety of vases they had available to use.
