    Strawberry matcha with oat milk
    Jazmin G.

As others have mentioned the atmosphere is beautiful and great for a chat. Beyond that, my matcha was very disappointing. The drink came out fast--almost too fast-- and lacked flavor. I ordered a strawberry matcha with oat milk and it came out to around $8. The flavor of the matcha was ok but the strawberry syrup was not the "typical" strawberry flavor I expect when I order a strawberry matcha. Underwhelming and overpriced. This place is great is you care about aesthetically pleasing location and not necessarily the taste of the beverage.

    Coffee and great vibes!

This place is the absolute best! High-quality organic beans and all natural syrups made with agave. The new location is perfect. I love all the drinks! The ceremonial Matcha with a hint of pistachio is so good but my My Favorite is a double pistachio milk with pistachio syrup latte! Thanks for providing such high-quality coffee and great ambience in our small town!

Such a cute spot!! The drinks are really good and is a good place to just sit and study or a meetup with friends.

Can't say I'll be back anytime soon. The staff was more interested in talking to the customer in front of me about her "Eras Tour" t-shirt and how much a fan she was etc. Didn't seem particularly interested in helping me nor taking my order. After standing there behind the customer listening to their conversation I finally was able to place my order. I ordered a strawberry matcha and I'm quite familiar with this drink as it's all I order mostly. Minimal effort was put in to make it and there was barely any strawberries in it. Going forward I'll stick to my usual spots for matcha. I guess this place is just going off of aesthetics alone to sell their drinks but for the price I could have gotten a bigger matcha elsewhere with better customer service. The taste was just ok not something I'd return to this place for specifically.

Service is great! the place is super cute with great ambiance. Presentation was also quite cute. The drinks were just not for me. I ordered the banana bread matcha and salted caramel matcha, and was expecting more based on the reviews.

love the ambience and drinks at their downtown location! the chai is honestly the best chai i've ever had. must visit modesto coffee spot!

I've been coming here ever since they were inside moobak and it's my favorite place ever. Not only is the coffee and matcha amazing the owner and workers are so kind and give you such a good experience. The aesthetic and vibe is amazing! You have to try the cinnamon roll latte or the strawberry matcha!

The girls did not look like they wanted to be there and were really standoffish. The matcha also tasted like pure syrup after being mixed.

I want to say they almost got it just like my small hometown tortas in Mexico . The pepper jack cheese and mayo tossed it off track . Get rid of the melted cheese and use crema Mexicana and it will be more up my alley. With that said it's still super yummy . It was served with a side of white sauce . I still don't know what it was . It tasted like mayo mixed with something else . 4 for the torta! I also went with a shaken brown sugar espresso it was a tad bit on the bland side but tasted refreshing enough. 3 . Service was decent . Straight to business and I totally prefer it that way . There was a simple greeting and then the order . I did have to clean my table before I sat down and there were other clean tables but I wanted the corner one . 3 min after I sat down the other tables were being wiped down so they are on top of the cleaning ! What I did not like was that it was stuffy inside . Possibly an AC issue .

Probably to afford all the ig-worthy backdrops and neon signs. The coffee chain is also well-known for its giant conchas. I got a peppermint mocha latte in a small (12 oz) and didn't realize it would cost $9 (before tip) as the prices for their specialty coffees are not listed on the menu. Don't think I can justify returning, but I can see how it's a go-to for locals.

Their selection of sweet pastries is the first thing that caught my eye everything in the display case looked fresh, inviting, and perfect for a quick treat. The pastry I chose had that ideal balance of flaky and soft, with just enough sweetness to pair with a warm drink. I ordered a hot chocolate to go with it, and it hit the spot. It was rich without being too heavy, creamy with a deep cocoa flavor, and served at the perfect temperature. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down for a moment and actually enjoy it. I also tried one of their muffins, and it was a great addition to the visit. Moist, flavorful, and clearly baked with care the sort of classic coffee-house muffin that makes you want to come back and try the other flavors too. The Queen Bean Coffee House offers a comforting experience overall. With a little more attention to speed and atmosphere it would easily reach five stars, but as it stands, it's a lovely place to relax, enjoy something sweet, and sip on a warm cup of chocolate. I'll definitely be returning.

A friend and I ordered a bagel from another small business, as I have dietary restrictions that limit what I can eat. I thought it would be nice to enjoy a bagel and coffee from Queen Bean Coffee House and spend some time in the ambiance of the establishment. Unfortunately, I was wrong. As soon as we walked in, we were met with odd looks, looks of confusion and, quite frankly, judgment. We didn't think much of it, considering the current state of the country and the fact that many minority groups experience this regularly. We ordered two coffees, spent about $20, sat down, ate, and waited to enjoy our drinks. Shortly after, a man approached me in a very confrontational manner and said, "I'm the owner of this establishment. Don't you think it's rude that you're eating those big bagels in here?" I was shocked by both his tone and his approach toward two young women. I told him that he was being passive-aggressive and speaking in a belittling way. He continued to call us "rude" and said our behavior was disrespectful. This felt incredibly hypocritical, as the disrespectful tone came entirely from him. Not only was he confrontational, but he also attempted to push the "angry" and "loud" stereotype onto me. I am posting this not for him, but to bring awareness to other customers that no one should tolerate attitude or behavior from someone who does not accept them. People like him contribute to the division in this country. If this truly was about a bagel, he could have approached us quietly and respectfully, rather than embarrassing us, drawing attention from the entire restaurant, and making us feel judged, laughed at, and extremely uncomfortable. I am a big supporter of small businesses in Modesto, and I have spoken to many of them about this situation. Not a single one agreed with the owner's approach, tone, or behavior. I hope those who read this review understand that supporting this business means supporting harmful rhetoric that continues to divide our communities.

While I typically avoid paying premium prices for coffee, I decided to treat myself and finally give this location a try. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and placed an order for three iced coffees, which I stated clearly. When my order was delivered, two of the drinks were iced, while one was served hot. I calmly and politely mentioned that all three were supposed to be iced coffees. At that point, I overheard an employee respond in the background with an attitude, stating that I had ordered the drink hot. I fully understand that mistakes can happen--orders can be entered incorrectly, and errors are part of any service environment. However, my concern lies with the dismissive attitude and the decision to challenge the customer's request in front of them. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, I do not plan to return to this establishment. I will instead continue supporting my usual coffee shops.
