This is their new location, not hard to find but the heaters in the main seating area was a little too much when we visited in Oct'25 when it was already pretty warm. We decided to take the table in the back part and the tables were a little dirty ngl. I can definitely understand and give grace if this is a temporary spot (idk) ‍ However, the coffee selection were super cool and me and my husband tried an iced latte and matcha latte and they were both very good. We were very happy with both of the taste match the flavor it claimed. Which are the salted caramel matcha and cinnamon roll latte. Would definitely come back to this spot read more

This cafe is nestled inside the patio of an Italian restaurant so it's one of the most beautiful places I ever sat and worked at. They don't have any outlets though FYI My drink came out very quickly. I got the orange blossom matcha which is seasonal 7/10 the orange flavor was too overpowering and the matcha flavor was not really strong at all. I would come back to try other flavors and drinks if I get the chance!! read more

I really wanted to like this coffee shop because the staff were genuinely kind and apologetic, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I ran into a pretty big issue as there were no sugar-free options available at all, not even basic sweetener packets. For anyone who avoids sugar for health or dietary reasons, this makes it really difficult to enjoy anything on the menu. It seems like a small thing, but it makes a big difference in accessibility. Love the owner, love the atmosphere, love the kindness. The location is a dream, it's really beautiful and you have to see it for yourself. I order a matcha or a latte and I love them both. As others have mentioned the atmosphere is beautiful and great for a chat. Beyond that, my matcha was very disappointing. The drink came out fast--almost too fast-- and lacked flavor. I ordered a strawberry matcha with oat milk and it came out to around $8. The flavor of the matcha was ok but the strawberry syrup was not the "typical" strawberry flavor I expect when I order a strawberry matcha. Underwhelming and overpriced. Can't say I'll be back anytime soon. The staff was more interested in talking to the customer in front of me about her "Eras Tour" t-shirt and how much a fan she was etc. Didn't seem particularly interested in helping me nor taking my order. After standing there behind the customer listening to their conversation I finally was able to place my order. I ordered a strawberry matcha and I'm quite familiar with this drink as it's all I order mostly. Minimal effort was put in to make it and there was barely any strawberries in it. Going forward I'll stick to my usual spots for matcha. I guess this place is just going off of aesthetics alone to sell their drinks but for the price I could have gotten a bigger matcha elsewhere with better customer service. surprisingly very poor customer service and the drinks (coffee AND matcha) had so much syrup that it tasted like straight cough medicine. I've tried this place multiple times and the drinks lacked quality each time. also, wellness is mentioned in their marketing but all their syrups are packed with sugar and their milks with gums...sucks but this is my last time ordering here for sure :( read more

I was so excited to try Flora. After seeing their seasonal menu for winter, I felt motivated enough to go try a marshmallow matcha. I do like this temporary location for them, maybe it's a bit loud on the patio if you would come with a group, but it is very aesthetically pleasing. It feels cozy. They also do mat & matcha which is like a Pilates class and then matcha afterwards, I may participate in the future. It looks fun. When it was my turn to order, I was told that they cannot make a marshmallow matcha as they are out of the materials. Fine, a bit disappointing because it was what I was excited for the most, but I can let it pass because I did come later in the afternoon. Not the end of my world, I decided I would order a strawberry one instead. The actual matcha itself is fine, it's not the best nor the worst matcha I have ever had. However, the layer of strawberry was incredibly thin. You could barely see any and that was reflected in the taste, which again, was not bad, but if I just wanted a regular matcha, I would have ordered that. Another review says the same thing in that the strawberry was nonexistent. I will likely still give Flora other chances, as in my opinion Modesto places are really lacking in decent matcha spots, and I do respect the vision here and love the location as well, but as someone who does tend to gravitate towards the fruity matchas instead of just regular ones, I think that they can do better. I only docked stars based on the lack of accuracy, not taste itself. read more

Went this morning on a Tuesday to try this place I checked their hours before I went online they said they are open at 7am I went after 8am. The doors were locked. Someone was inside sitting in there. Not sure if she was the owner but she didn't have the manners to walk to the door to at least let me know why it was closed. She just kept pointing to the window. this is a very cute coffee shop in downtown. i've had the coffees multiple times, the espresso is very good quality as well as high quality milk brands. i've never had the matcha but it's also very popular there. the dishware for the hot lattes is also premium. they have a very efficient system and lots of seating space for everyone. read more

Flora has quickly become a standout in Modesto's coffee landscape--really, it's an asset to the whole city. My current go-to is the hot cinnamon roll latte, though I will plan on returning to my usual oatmilk latte once the holiday season wraps up, no more christmas splurges! I ordered Iced Matcha with Pistachio milk and vanilla syrup. Not bad, but can barely taste the matcha (too much milk). Def had better matcha but overall love the vibe it's inside a candle store. Not much tables to do work tho if you want to WFH. read more
