Yes I've heard and experienced that but she is talking about 122% inflation since 2019 (35% a year). That, we haven't had. Luckily, I called a couple other places and found out I'm looking at bout $12,000 for pretty good stuff. So...before going with them I'd get other quotes.

What a difference 5 years can make since I've heard Lowes has purchased Great Floors recently. I'm selling another home and the customer service was far below acceptable. I was told a crew would install the new carpet. Only a one person crew showed up for the install. Old carpet came out in 2 pieces and new carpet went in in 5 pieces most likely because contractor could not handle carpet weight in 2 pieces. I now have showing seams every 4' to 6'. We were told that Great Floors would make it right by our salesman but that was another lie. Also I was lied to about the warranty transfer to the new owner of the home. They refuse to make anything right. I will never use or recommend Great Floors to anyone ever anywhere because of the lies and excuses we have received from the Coeur D' Alene store.

When I was there in April doing major repairs and remodel from all the damage a tenant did, the water damage to the wood floor under the refrigerator turned the wood black and lifted them from the floor, so since John had done the refinish job in 2013, I naturally contacted him. I liked John's work albiet he was not able to remove all the damage but did a great job nonetheless. I called him and he said he was very busy but would get out within a week to assess the damage and tell me what he could do. Then I never heard back. I left another 2 messages. By the time I did hear back I had already had to hire someone else, and presumed John was too busy or this was not a priority, which upset me since I was already a customer. Unfortunately I found out that John had injured his leg w a nail gun and went to the hospital, but that was after I wrote the review and had to pay someone else to repair the damage. His explanation was certainly understandable and I would never want to hurt someone's business if there is a reasonable explanation. However, my input here is that his wife or someone else who worked w him should have been calling his customers immediately (not wait for me to finally get him on the phone to find out what happened) to inform them that he would not be able to work for however long he needed to heal, I certainly would have understood. I have been in the hospital for serious injuries so understand how crazy that can be. But being self employed brings certain responsibilities if you want to maintain a good client base. His original work was beautiful and he did 3 coats on my floor, and gave me a good price. I was very happy with those results, so I would recommend his work.

We were able to add color chips to one of the standard samples they have on hand to give it a more customized feel. Devon came out right away to provide the quote and he was very informative and easy to talk with. The office manager, Beth, was very helpful in scheduling the service and providing a sample of our customized colors before committing to the work. And Morgan and Micah did an outstanding job applying the coating. The whole process took about a day and a half. A couple of additional aspects that truly made them the right company to coat our garage floor...they covered the stem walls at no extra cost, they actually provided a trailer that we could store our things in while they were doing the work, at no extra cost, and they are a small, local, family operated business that basically provides a lifetime warranty on their products and workmanship. Our old garage floor was chipped, scratched, gouged and literally falling apart. This happens because of studded tires, too much salt and not caring for the concrete over several years. Ric was able to come to our home within days of our calling to get an estimate and if it can even be done without new concrete. The crew was on site within 2 weeks to begin the job. It took two days to complete and another 24 hrs to cure. We couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely recommend them!

More of the flooring is cracking on our staircase and other areas of our home and needs to be replaced. We are giving a low rating for customer service and would not recommend Panhandle Carpet One.
