Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. Thanks for the time and professionalism.

The previous owner had major foundation repairs, and the brickwork done afterward was obvious and didn't come close to matching the original. Hugo completely changed that. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and work ethic are second to none. Unless you're looking for it, it's almost impossible to tell where the repairs were made. It's rare to find someone who cares this much about doing the job right instead of just getting it done. If you need brick repair or masonry work, do yourself a favor and hire Hugo. He's a true craftsman, and I'd give him more than five stars if I could.
