I purchased carpet, the same week I called to report that there was so much dirt coming from the carpet as well as the fibers to live was disgusting, I was ignored I should have ran when I entered the store as a African-American female I was waited on last behind the Caucasian people I entered the store first I purchased the carpet the carpet was faulty I kept on complaining they wouldn't do anything I finally called corporate corporate said they should have sent out someone when I first started complaining Greg I have phone calls from him they sent someone and he said the carpet wasn't that bad when you can come in the house and clearly see that the carpet is a mess they did not put down new padding the carpet has rode, they told me it was because I had heavy furniture there's places where there's no furniture, then Greg said it wasn't their fault the installation or the carpet he said well I tell you right now it's not our fault, I decided to contact BBB because I did he said that they would not do anything to help me yes I believe that I was racially discriminated against they did not try to fix my carpet I was ignored and mistreated I don't want any African-American to patronize their store for no reason and no one else if you don't want to carpet that's damaged he told me the carpet was probably sitting in the warehouse that's why it had the dirt and stuff in it and it was discontinued a couple of months after they sold it to me , the carpet is bulky in every room even where there is no furniture I am so hurt and disappointed by these people they're a rip off if you are African-American please do not visit any of their stores anywhere, even if you're not a African-American this is what these people do they take advantage of people and mistreat people, I am and was nobody to them after they took my money read more

My husband and I were shopping for flooring for our new home. We had been to three locations, flooring America in Paducah was our third. For the exact same type of flooring, we noticed their prices were four times more expensive than the other two places we checked. That said, we didn't want to insult them and make them feel bad so I left a fake name, a fake phone number, and a fake address. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from this company to my real phone number--A number I never provided to them nor gave them permission to call. What's even more outrageous, is they contacted our real estate agent--an egregious overreach of boundaries. We never mentioned who we were working with for our real estate transaction. Who do these people think they are? It is the most outrageous invasion of privacy my husband and I have ever experienced and we're not young people. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. I explained what happened to my real estate agent and apologized on behalf of this company for being so obnoxious. I've never known a flooring company to go to such lengths to stalk potential customers before. It was very very disturbing. I'm not sure what software they have rigged up in that store, but if you go here, turn your phone to airplane mode so they can't access it because if they do they will track down everybody you know to try to get a hold of you. I relayed what happened to corporate and they promised me they would follow up with me. I just heard back from them today, and this store completely lied to them. They told corporate that I had given the information about our real estate agent to them which was completely 100% untrue. They tried to explain their actions away as a "miscommunication" explaining they thought because I was "new to the area that I gave them the wrong address accidentally." (Really??? Whoever told her this from the Flooring America store came up with this fictional excuse to cover their tracks. As stated, I provided a FAKE name, a FAKE address and FAKE phone number. This was CLEARLY not a miscommunication. Shame on you Flooring America. Again, who do you think you are????) Anyway, I told corporate that while I appreciated their follow up with me, Nothing the store told her was true. I explained that corporate had no way of knowing who was telling the truth in the situation and I understood that. But again, I will never, ever use this place because of what happened. They know the truth, and I know the truth. I still one hundred percent stand behind everything I've said here because it is completely true and will continue to share my experience to each and every person who will listen.
