While all of the employees made themselves available and were always happy to help, both Dominique and Clara went out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. Floor & Decor has an unparalleled selection of tiles and flooring. Having to decide what to put in my bathroom was tough! I was surprised that Floor & Decor takes back any unused boxes of flooring and tiling as long as it is a full box. We had several leftover boxes and it was nice to be able to return them. read more

The person they use to install their flooring is subpar at best and a complete liar. Floor & Decor also got our orders from HIM incorrect, so we had to make multiple trips. A huge plus that this place opens on Sundays. I was looking for flooring options and it was so much more. The store associate was very pleasant and offered her assistance immediately when entering the store. This was important to me since I don't know a lot about flooring and needed guidance. The associate was very knowledgeable even though she has only been with the store less than one year. She was very patient and answered all my questions. The store had a huge selection of flooring options and the displays were large so you can get an idea of how it would look in your house. There was pricing at all price points from value to higher-end. This place also has countertops and there was a contractor onsite that was very helpful. I love Floor and Decor. They have very reasonable prices and the supplies are very creative and have quality - unlike a bargain brand store. When I walk through I am so inspired by the displays and inventory. Once I could not make up my mind which tile I liked. so I laided them all right on the floor in the store. I decided to use them all and made my own mosaic pattern. (see photo) I once bought 2 sets of tile with no where to put it! I did use one set as Back Splash in a funky kitchenette, 3 years after buying them - "sliced rocks" 12x12"web (not easy to grout- See Photo - sink not yet grouted) The 2nd set was Classic White Subway Tile. Check all tiles cases before you walk out the store door, they must sell seconds because more than half of my tiles had inconsistent patterns to what I thought I was actually buying. Looked like kids painted the patterns on it. Also had black imbedded carbon looking marks on it as well. And a low intelligent tile setter guy install it in my primary shower, not telling me it had inconsistency. Buyer beware! read more

We've been converting carpeted rooms to tiled floor little by little. This is a good place for tile shopping. Selection is great, and the store is well organized. Some good sample installations in the front area to give you some ideas. Just bought a second set of tiles and grout. All of their staff is very helpful and nice. Another good thing is that unused tiles are returnable granted that they are not damaged. Definitely check the fine prints but it's so convenient. Only wish they had more eclectic style, like southwestern Talavera tiles... because of the recent popular look, everything is gray/white... I wanted some warmer colors, but they are not easy to find. read more

Very few tile & stone stores have a return policy that is on a par with Floor & Decor. If you purchase too much, samples or something you don't need just take it back and get a full refund, no questions asked! We tiled a bathroom and put new countertop's in the kitchen & bath. The fabricator/installer is Stone Tile Evolution, LLC out of Sacramento (the same company Lowes & Home Depot use). They made a big mistake by starting to drill the wrong side of the vanity countertop but they returned a week later with a brand new one. read more

I would like to update my last review. I hope you guys value Ashley as one of the most helpful and well-versed in Floor&Decor product lines. She's definitely one of the most knowledgeable people in the store. I came in and asked 4 separate employees for a piece of quartz or similar material that I could cut and polish and use as a shelf in my shower niche. (I was sitting here by my tile installer specifically for this material) I was told by everybody that they didn't have that, nor anything similar. After speaking to my tile guy for a second time and him, insisting that you DO carry it..... I decided in despair to try one last person. Ashley she thought for a moment, and then told me, I could probably use a piece of engineered stone (basically quartz) and cutting polish it to use as a shelf. 10 out of 5 stars. Overall a great experience shopping here. They have a HUGE selection of tile and flooring and great prices! Some of their items are priced lower than the other hardware stores. They have displays of almost every tile they have available and displays of grout colors to help with the decision process. We were shopping for marble tiles, which naturally have lots of variation. The sales associate was so helpful in finding us pieces of tile that matched what we were looking for. She was so knowledgeable and helpful in our decision making process! This store has a huge selection! Went shopping for kitchen backsplash and couldn't believe all the great choices. Pricing is varied from low to high so there's something for every budget! Customer service is extraordinary-we were approached several times by different friendly sales associates to see if we needed help or had any questions (which we did!). I came into Floor & Decor on a friend's recommendation after spending lots of time at Home Depot & Lowes. When I first walked into the door, I was so happy to see large displays eye level instead of 20 feet up in the air like HD & Lowes. After finding a few tiles, I liked I brought them home & then made an appointment with Michael Stipech to help me get the right amount & all the materials I would need. Michael was amazing!! He helped me get the tile & made sure I had everything I needed to redo my shower. He was supposed to get off at a certain time & I was stressing about not getting it all taken care of before he had to leave. He stayed late & helped me load everything up in my truck. My first experience at F&D was definitely the honeymoon phase. I was blinded by the bliss of finding everything under one roof at amazing prices other stores couldn't touch, so we ordered everything we thought we needed for our home remodel, and thanks to the warehouse storage option, they held onto it all until we were ready. We hemmed and hawed on various elements of our design choice, and their sample policy (buy it and bring it back) made checking out various options real simple. We ended up moving forward with the AquaGuard laminate flooring, the most expensive laminate in the store, and returning the travertine (which thus far I have not seen credited back to me). By examining samples at different price points and handling various materials, it quickly became apparent that these great prices come at a serious cost in the quality department. Affordable Travertine, $2-$4/sq foot, which is naturally variable in color, was on the extreme end of the variability scale and contained a lot of filler. The budget travertine was made up of mostly filler. In order to get quality and moderate consistency you had to step up to the premium stone at $6-$7+/ square foot, which is no different than buying from one of our awesome locally owned tile stores. The real kicker was the AquaGuard laminate, which we attempted to install. We watched the video, which made it look simple, but as we went through the process, the locking tabs that connect each piece literally DELAMINATED, shearing off cleanly, creating excessive waste and demonstrating the low quality of this product. We couldn't even get a single row down without this issue. While other laminates use an mdf material to create their foundation, this was some type of papery composite, and looking at some of the sample pieces we even noticed chunks missing just from being moved in and out of a car. Bottom line, it's all going back, and beyond a place to gather a few ideas and maybe picking up underlayment, baseboard etc, I really can't recommend this store. Solid customer service can only take a company so far, and that's why I left this at three stars. There are pros to their return policy as well, and if you're on an extreme budget, you can find products that will get the job done. F&D is a store for some folks, but as someone looking to seriously upgrade my home, I can't really recommend it. The honeymoon is over and I think we're getting a divorce. Luckily my marriage is still in great shape! read more

We purchased new flooring from Floor & Décor in Reno, NV, in October and November of 2016. We had an installer put in the floors for us in November of 2016. We noticed the flooring pieces shrunk, and it is still shrinking, resulting in gaps between the components. The cracks are becoming more prominent and more significant to the point that our feet can get caught and trip. We filed a claim with Floor & Décor on July 9, 2020, and they sent out an inspector Richard King on June 30. 2021 to inspect our floor. Richard King concluded that our floors are repairable, and therefore the floor pieces are not defective. However, three different flooring experts told us we had to redo the flooring with new materials because the parts will not unshrink, and once the pieces are detached, they will not fit together. We tried to contact Richard King and ask for his opinion on the repair, but he did not answer my messages. And Floor&Décor is telling us they closed my claim based on Richard's opinion. It is unfair to spend $8000 on the flooring when it was only suitable for a few years. I put my trust in Floor & Décor and purchased materials, but they ABUSED THE CUSTOMER'S TRUST BY SELLING DEFECTIVE ITEMS, and they are refusing to take responsibility for it. read more

I was so impressed with these installers that I went back to the Reno store to talk about a bathroom remodel. I was met at the door by "Jared" who was exceedingly polite and knowledgeable. I then met Brooke, the salesperson. She was more knowledgably than almost any sales person I met; she knew it all. On top of that she was quick and knew right where to go. Finally the measure person and overall manager was "Alex". He did everything right and always answered the phone (highly unusual these days...). Pathetic. First, I purchased baseboards from them several years ago. After a couple years, the finish began to peel away. I called just to see how I could rectify the issue. They said they had no record I purchased them from the Reno store. Unreal. That should never be possible. No help on that issue. Late last year, I purchase interlocking Vinyl Plank Flooring for a room in our home. Unfortunately, I was unable to lay it immediately because of family issues which arose. When I opened the box (I actually opened two) they were brittle and did not lock correctly. Of course, I can't take it back (some idiot on the phone confirmed that piece of insane news) so I am left with 7 worthless boxes of planks. Don't shop here. They only want your money and will come up with any excuse to negate a refund. Floor and Decor is a joke. read more

Then there was Jared, our cashier, not the best person to sell a rewards membership as he could not tell us the perks for having one, so we didn't get one. Run, don't walk to your nearest Home Depot or Lowe's. This was my second whole house remodel I came here for flooring to purchase. I made the purchase online with the help of their customer service team. Her calculations were a little different than mine on what I needed but she assured me that I could return what we did not use. She specifically told me we should order extra floor tile since it would be coming from Rocklin to make sure we did not run out mid project. Sounded like a good idea to me. Fast forward and now the whole house remodel is done and we go to return the overage. Among other items, there were 17 boxes of tile. Apparently these weren't in stock in Reno because this is discontinued. At no point was this mentioned. Not that it would be a big deal, except for their arbitrary policy to not accept discontinued items after 90 days (91 from when the order was in stock for pick up and 96 from purchase date). First the Tile Manager said not possible. Then said it would be possible if they had a truck going to Rocklin. Then I heard they had 2 trucks going to Rocklin. Great! Then somewhere between him walking back to the back to check and returning he spoke to Ashley the Store Manager who said they could not eat the shipping (on a truck already going) and to give me store credit. Store credit in such a specific store does nothing for me. My entire house is remodeled and done. To make matters worse he tried to return all of the returns to store credit for $700+! I melted down. End result, still walked out with $332 in store credit to a store I will likely never return to. They fall back on the ole "did you read the bottom of your receipt" garbage while at the same time telling me that the only reason it matters is because it's a discontinued product which was never disclosed to me. Totally shameful and ridiculous. Home Depot is maybe a smidge more expensive but worth the superior customer service. read more
