I'm reluctantly writing this review. But, here's our experience... We re-built our shower/tub combo for a larger shower this summer with all the tile needed for the walls, highlight trim and floor. It looks fabulous. Spent over $3000 on those tiles alone. Plus, may I add, we redid two rooms in our last home with Floor & Decor tile costing over $1000 the previous year for two rooms. Our current house has really gone through a transformation with painting, redone kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances etc. Now with all that done, the simple "construction special" 10 inch original tiles looked dingy. We found what we wanted, once again, at Floor & Decor off Bell Road. They sent out their estimator who measured our home to see how many tiles it would take to do our entire 2300 sq ft floors We selected the most beautiful 32" x 32" white tile with streaks of gray & brown. Stunning! We had Floor One, F&D's subcontracted workers, to do the installation. Floor & Decor told us how much Thin-set, caulking etc. we would need. We found we were going to be short on the application materials that had been picked by F& D and our installers volunteered to pick it up the next morning since we didn't have a truck. These guys were the best! However, we found out we were running short on tiles too the next day because we found that F&D had included 5 packages of the wrong lot number of the tiles and we had to switch them and buy 5 more boxes of tile. Called them and they said they were reserving them at the Mesa location. This store is on the far Southside of Phoenix, an hour and 15 min from our home in Anthem. Originally they said to bring back the 5 improper tile boxes and they would switch them out. When asked what were they going to do for us for our inconvenience and the fact we had already spent over $5000 with them and the measuring mistake was their fault and our travel time would amount to over 2 and a half hours of getting there and home, the manager said he would do nothing. We pleaded our case and reemphasized it was their mistake, but he refused to show any sort of consideration to us. We paid for all 5 extra boxes and left, vowing never to shop there again. Anyone who knows us already knows what type of cheerleaders we are for good service and good quality products. Floor & Decor customer service failed to pass the test. I speak just as loudly for BAD service as I am to praise for well-deserved service. read more

horrible customer service on the loading dock. Their system of texting when you get there and getting a response as where you are in line and the progress of your order is inadequate. The loading dock supervisor picks and chooses who he wants to load and when. Today their texting system informed us it was our turn, our order was ready. Instead two customers who arrived after us were loaded first. When this was mentioned to the loading dock supervisor he retaliated by telling the dock workers not to load us. This resulted in a 70 year old man with a triple by pass loading 81items himself in 100 degree heat while the employees on the loading dock watched. My husband and I have gone oftentimes to this location as we have been remodeling our house. Beware! Don't talk to people about installation here...I spoke to one lady who approached me as if she worked there, and she sent my info to multiple companies and I haven't had a peaceful day since. I have spoken to five different people now, they sent someone to my home,m even after I cancelled, I had to tell him to leave, they called again and I said I said I'm not interested, they sent me texts and emails and again I contacted them and told them this was harassment and I'm still getting calls! Ok, I just want give a big Shout out to the people at the Glendale floor decor. From the designer Vianey (GodI hope I spelled her name, right) who saw me so confused on the floor and arguing with my husband came over and helped us out. On another run she saw us and came over to see how we're doing, and helped us out again. We are building a brand new house and having to go back-and-forth can cause a lot of fights within couples, but Vianey, made sure that she heard both of us out and came up with a nice solution. Then to my surprise, while waiting outside with a big cart of tiles out side for my husband to come back from picking up more tile in the back Joe from FDecore comes and asks me if I needed loading help? He first takes the empty cart I had from me the. Over hears my husband on the phone telling me to come to the back. He offered to roll my big cart filled with tiles all the way to the back! Mean while the manager while I was walking around came by couple times to check up on us. I think his name is Dalton. On Monday people wanting to work, it's gloomy and cold and they were all so helpful. Wow ai know this is long but hope the upper management sees this and gives these employees kudos for doing their job with a friendly smile and attitude. I couldn't believe my experience at this store today. My parents bought tile for from them three months ago to be delivered last week. Once it was delivered, did you think we received the right ones? No! Two different ones!! So we took our concern to this store and spoke to Omar, by the way, who was very professional. He then politely, escalated it to a by far the shittiest skilled manager in James, apparently the department manager for the tile. James did nothing to provide solution except for looking everything to place the blame back to my family. I rose my voice and the situation escalated, with no skill James tried to kick me out the store for his bullshit?? Basically, they had discontinued product on the floor that they did not have back stock and pulled a bait and switch at my parents. Who wouldn't be pissed. If Floor and Decor upper management is reading this, call me because I am about to continue posting further on other social media avenues!! read more

Had a great experience last night...20 minutes before closing. I was ready to call it quits but TOBY helped me pick everything out and load and answered all my questions and even got me all the extra stuff I needed like grout and sealant. This is a terrible company to buy product from! We were remodeling her house last year and decided to shop for porcelain wood tile at Floor and Decor. We have finally decided to go with Mansfield Amber we were very excited we had found the right one. When speaking to the employees they assured us that it would lay perfectly and we were able to do multiple patterns with this product. After we purchased on our schedule day they never came I guess there was a confusion on who was delivering our product. I had to call the company after waiting all day long. The next day when they deliver the product and everything in our house was ripped out it was finally time to start laying down the tile. Our contractor only found one way to lay the tile because I had a bow in our tile. That would have been nice to know from the employees that sold me the product. In the end the tile was installed. We spent around 2,500 for this product and are extremely disappointed with the quality and the service that we had received from this company. This disappoints me because we have small children and edges of our tile are already starting to chip not to mention the tile is uneven in almost all areas in the house even after leveling the floor. Before planning your next flooring or housing project I would research on other companies to buy from because the quality and the service was a disappointment. read more

Floor and decor is a great place to buy materials to upgrade your home for less! Especially if you are doing it on your own. We purchased our laminate flooring here after my fiance's sister raved about how cheap she was able to re-do her shower while still getting an upgraded look. There are a lot laminate flooring options here and we were able to stick to our budget of $2K (laminate + pad). It covered our living, dining, kitchen, hallway, laundry and spare bedroom. Our floors look amazing and it feels awesome knowing we didn't have to spend the $7-10k the crazy lady at Empire tried to tell us it would cost. We did lay the floors ourselves, but it was well worth the money we saved! The click and lock system was a little difficult at first with these floors. They allow you to return extra wood/padding as long as it is a full un-opened box. We did have extra wood and pad to return and it was quick and easy. No fuss. read more

We've been here several times. Today was the best visit yet. Looking for tiles to remodel our master bathroom, we found the one we wanted but, there was none on the showroom floor. It's often difficult to find an employee who is not otherwise engaged & so, hard to get assistance. I located Eric in the back. He was GREAT. He walked with us to the tile we wanted, only to advise us that this store was out, BUT he led us to a very similar tile. We liked it but, it had less of the white color I wanted & asked him if any other location might have the 1 I wanted. He took the time to call the Mesa store, then found us on the floor to let us know that the Mesa store did have it & walked with my husband to the cashier to help him purchase the tile so it would be placed on hold for us, whilst I went on to shop for glass tiles. He also found us the matching 2x2 size tiles we needed for the baseboards. I've never been so impressed, & happy with, an employee at Floor & Decor in Glendale. Great prices, good selection. FAILURE!! We ordered our wood floor tiles and plunked out $3000, fully expecting delivery three weeks later, as requested. FAILURE to deliver in a timely manner. STRIKE ONE I called at 4 PM that day to check why delivery had not been made. The reason was that we were last on the delivery route. We should be receiving it soon. I called at 7 PM that day - AGAIN. I was then told the tiles had not been loaded on the truck and would/could not be delivered for two more days. FAILURE to accurately check and communicate the situation. STRIKE TWO On my second call, I was told we would receive a credit for our delivery charge and an email with the receipt. Four days later, no credit, no email. Third call, I spoke to Weston. He would check and report back to me. Twenty-four hours later and no call, credit or email. Fourth call, I spoke to Jed Hauser who told me it takes a few days for the credit to appear. He emailed me the receipt. Not on my credit card account yet! FAILURE to communicate and follow up by more people. STRIKE THREE AND FLOOR AND DECOR ARE OUT!! We will not do business with them again. We will not recommend them to friends and family. We will not have positive things to say about them. PS: Because of the domino effect of not receiving our tiles in a timely manner, we were made to live another full week without access to our laundry facilities or wash water for dishes. VERY DISCOURAGING and really no apologies, not to mention the four times I had to wait on the phone for up to 30 minutes!! My advice to anyone considering doing business with Floor and Decor is to be very cautious and plan to have product delivered well in advance of when your contractor will need it. Been to several other locations and this is BY FAR the worst store, of any kind I've ever been in!! There were 0 carts available as the majority of them were filled with product needing to be restocked. Aisles were littered with trash and open boxes. People were constantly bumping into each other as there was no room to pass because of product in the walkways. Went to the pro desk to place our order and waited over 10 minutes to be helped. Once the associate came over, he left to go "find our order" and disappeared for 45 min!!! Talking with 2 other associates in the meantime, they were able to locate the pieces he was looking for. Welcome here a lot... I'm always super confused as to why there are literally ten employees standing around the registers chatting each and every time we enter the store. Odd. They never ask if they can help you find anything or give you anything more than a obligatory "hello." Last time we came in they briefly acknowledged us. We forgot something in the car, came right back in, and they acknowledged us again as if they hadn't seen us 5 minutes prior. When you do need help, someone will assist, but some.. especially the women, seem bothered. The last time we came in the two most helpful people were two guys loading pallets. That being said, there are always a few staff actually working... it's the ten up front chatting that are frustrating. I'd say the prices are good and the selection is good. We will definitely be back for more materials, but they staff aren't a selling feature for this location. read more

Wanted to return $24 worth of vinyl trim edging. Department head refused because it was "bent". It's vinyl. It was in the car overnight. It has a slight curve that will straighten out in time. We are currently tearing out a bathroom at our cabin in Pinetop. Needless to say there are no Floor and Decor's up there. So we had to make sure we had EVERYTHING to take up. Went to F&D to start buying and learning about the Schulter Shower Systems. Thank God we ran into Keith Roberts from the Professional Contractor's Counter. He spent well over an hour with us. Great prices good selection of tile, slow service. Checkout girls seem bothered to have to help you and in no hurry. I purchased 20x20 travertine tile. It was rung up correctly ... I pulled around back to get loaded up. We got home my tile guys unloaded all the tile only to find out we got 18x18 pieces. I called and told the manager the situation asked her to send picture of receipt and tape measure next to tile to get credit. We will keep the 18s as we don't have time to deal with reloading returning and getting new. We love 30-40 mins away. Manager refuses to help saying we had to bring the back with receipt.... their error is causing us over 1 2/2hours of our day gas and mileage. Terrible customer service!!! She really went above and beyond in telling us the pros and cons of each type of flooring and figuring out how much we would need to order, etc. And was incredibly patient even though we were indecisive! Prices are usually competitive, the only negative is the check out process is incredibly slow and there are never enough people at the registers. read more
