I dragged my Mom out to a SUP yoga class for my birthday this year, and it was such an awesome experience. The ladies that own the studio were patient with us and our limited paddle experience. I would encourage anyone who has an interest in trying SUP yoga not to be intimidated and try it at Floating Yogis. read more

Great class on a Tuesday morning. Very peaceful, professional and friendly instructor, and didn't fall in! Highly recommend!

I don't know what took me so long to get to one of these classes but it was literally life-changing! Christie was an amazing instructor and so encouraging and put all of my fears to Bay in overcoming the challenge of doing yoga on a paddleboard. The class was orchestrated so well and there was plenty of help to support me in my first time on a paddleboard and my first time doing yoga on a paddleboard. The sunset class was awesome, so therapeutic, and it was such a great experience to be out on the water. I highly recommend this class and I will definitely be back! read more

The best Yoga Paddleboarding experience out there! I had an amazing time with Marci and Sarah... As a guy who doesn't paddleboard often, and has very little yoga experience, I still had a blast! As soon as I got there, I noticed that everybody was all smiles and had a good vibe going. We got there a little late, but it wasn't a problem! The signup was very quick and easy, and we were paddling into the beautiful lagoon in no time. With little yoga experience, some of the moves were pretty tough, but they allow you to move at your own pace. It was absolutely beautiful to hear nothing but the wind and the sound of the water lapping on your board as you breathe and get in tune with your body. Staring up at the peaceful clouds while opening your body up is a challenge, but it was a beautiful one, at that! I'd recommend it to any one of my friends, and all beginners alike. I have been paddleboarding maybe 3 times, and have only tried yoga a few times, and it wasn't a problem. It is a challenge to balance, but nothing impossible, and anyone could do it! I had a great time. Thank you guys! :) read more

Even if you're a beginner at both yoga and SUP, give Floating Yogis a try. Yoga is fantastic and the SUP aspect adds an element of fun. Sandra has taught both times I've been there, and she's really great at sequencing a yoga practice that's for all levels ... she shows you the starting, "supported" level of postures ... and then guides you into the more challenging (but optional) variations. You'll want your Savasana to go on for the whole day! :) read more

My sister and I tried it out today and LOVED it! The instructors were great - very nice and very professional. They remembered our names throughout the class (even though it was our first visit). The location was great because it was in a calm bay and they had a spot that was behind the buoys so you didn't have to worry about traffic from boats. Each board had an anchor, so you didn't have to worry about floating away from the class. It was a great experience. A nice challenge to my yoga practice. Being on the water and outside was both energizing and relaxing. I definitely recommend it! Ps. They give a $10 discount for military, students, and first time students! read more

Really fun and a great experience! I have done both the morning and sunset classes and both were a lot of fun. Everyone is super friendly and it's quite challenging and peaceful all at the same time. And I definitely want to try the full moon paddle. This would also be a great outing for visiting guests. read more

Had an amazing sunset paddle yoga class last night!! Sarah was a great instructor and very friendly. I have done several Sup yoga classes and I would highly recommend Floating Yogis. They also take really cool photos while your in class so that is a bonus. I will definitely be back soon and will be recommending to friends. read more

I literally just finished up a class here. It was fantastic. The whole experience was excellent. I loved the smiles and positive energy that Marci and Erica (our two lovely instructors) brought to the class. It instilled confidence and put us newbies at ease. The class also accommodates more seasoned SUP yogis as the instructor will queue more advanced variations to the basic poses. I went in knowing nothing about SUP yoga and now love it. I will be back... repeatedly. The location is also excellent. It's very scenic and calm. read more

This was the most amazing class ever taken. It was so peaceful and beautiful being on the water while doing yoga. The teachers are amazing and help you feel confident on the paddle board. It's also an awesome workout. I am a beginner and never once felt worried about falling in or not being able to do it. I am recommending these guys to everyone. read more

I have never had so much fun working out! Paddle boards and yoga is probably one if the best combinations. I loved the class and would recommend to everyone! I purchased a groupon for the classes and will be goin back for sure after the groupon runs out. The classes are small and the two ladies running them are so nice and welcoming. Such a great and calming experience. Perfect way to start the morning! read more

I do yoga a couple times throughout the year and paddleboard a couple times a month but I have never tried SUP Yoga. Sarah and Marci were great leaders and instructors and the setting was spectacular. I must experience for everyone. read more

Booked a session last weekend and had a blast! I had only done hot yoga before so was interested to see how it was. It did not disappoint. You have to really focus on your body and balance which leaves you less time for your mind to wander. Got a great work out! Sarah and Marci are super cool and easy to follow. Sent photos of our session which was cool. I recommend you try this if you like yoga. I am a fan. read more

Fell in love with the Floating Yogis from day one ... both Marci and Sarah are very nurturing yoga teachers. The poses are challenging and by being with nature you seem to focus more on the beauty of your surroundings. I must say downward dog on a paddle board is much more relaxing. I am a fan ... I attended the Yoga Teacher class June 2014 ... and it was quite amazing. There is so much to learn and have so much respect for yoga teachers. I say give it a try.. I totally recommend Floating Yogis for the internal and external experience. read more

Great experience - the setting with the palm trees and out on the water was relaxing, Molly was great at giving directions and it was a good mix of challenging and calming. read more

I love me some Floating Yogis! It is always such an awesome experience. The scenery is breathtaking and the instructors are phenomenal. It is challenging but is great for all ages and skill levels. You don't have to be an expert in yoga or paddle boarding ( one of my friends had never even been on a paddle board and totally rocked it). I highly recommend this spot, Marci and Sarah are wonderful instructors with such gracious hearts and energy, you can tell they love what they are doing. And you haven't lived till you have Savasana'ed on a paddle board! read more

I am so happy we found floating yogis. I took my 15 year old daughter out on a beautiful, calm morning for what was one of the best yoga classes ever. While its different than studio yoga in terms of the pace and poses, its challenging and fun. My next class in a studio in Denver will lack the waves lapping at my SUP, but the memory will be there to get me through a land based class. Top quality instruction and equipment. read more

Sarah and Marci are super nice and really patient even for inexperienced yogis. Super fun class!

Had an amazing first time SUP yoga experience with Floating Yogis on Memorial Day. Marci and Sarah were really sweet, helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring, giving personal instructions on both paddling and yoga. The boards were wide and the anchors used helped keeping them stable. The lagoon water was the perfect temperature, although I did not fall off the board. Practicing yoga out on the water, connecting with nature was such a fun, calming experience and at the same time a challenging workout. This is the coolest outdoor activity I have ever done! Can't wait to try the sunset class! read more

Truly an amazing combination of paddle boarding and yoga. I had never been on a board before and as a 200 lb middle-aged man, I was a little concerned with falling in the water in January. My legs wobbled on the way out, but by the time we finished I felt there was nothing I couldn't do on the board. The combination of light ripples in the water, sunshine on the face and beautiful backdrop made this the best yoga experience ever. If you are considering trying it, do not miss the opportunity while in Carlsbad. read more

Great exercise and calmness in one experience. Brava to the instructors for this great introduction for me to both yoga and paddle boarding! I will be back! read more

I have been wanting to do this forever! Really supportive group And much easier than it looks.. I've only paddle boarded twice but I got up and out. Great instruction for a first time SUP user, differentiated yoga instruction, wonderful and unique yoga experience. I would go back next time I am in town! Instructors took and shared photos. read more

I had so much fun at floating yogis! I absolutely recommend the class! I had never been on a paddle board before but the instructors are so helpful and give great instructions so I was able to stand and do all the yoga moves. They provided lots of options for whatever your level of practice is. It's also very beautiful on the lagoon early in the morning -- such a special experience. You'll love it! read more

LOVED the moonlight paddle. This is a once a month event but if it gets more popular it will need to be more often lol. Its on the TH closest to the full moon. Such a great thing to do! First, if you never have used a stand up paddle board (SUP) these are very easy boards that are very floaty and stable - it would be very hard to fall in! Most of the people wore comfortable (yoga) clothes, not bathing suits. The paddle starts at dusk, and goes for about 1 hour. You paddle to the east side of the lagoon, and watch the moon come up over the hillside. It is magical to be on the water, on a board, relaxed and just watching the moon. Floating Yogis makes sure everyone is comfortable, and upon return celebrates your trip with a beverage and cookies :-) I plan to do it again. read more

Highly recommend! The instructors are amazing, the class is amazing, and the scenery is unbeatable. Such a great experience!

My friend and I had a great time at our first Floating yogis class. The class is geared for all levels. I felt very comfortable, as Marci and Sarah teach so all can go at their own pace. Really fun and I will definitely go again! read more

I came to Carlsbad for a get away vacation with my boyfriend. I was looking for yoga studios by my hotel and i came across Floating Yogis. I had an AMAZING experience! Definitely something I am interested in doing more! It was my first time ever being on a paddle board and the girls made me feel so comfortable immediately. I highly recommend Floating Yogis to anyone who is looking to get away, relax, and have a fun time on the water. I will for sure be back! :) read more

What a cool way to do yoga! Standing on a paddle board on the water added so much more to the experience than doing yoga in a traditional setting. Balancing on the board while moving through the different poses was both challenging and fun! It forces you to use your core muscles and intensifies the workout. "Letting go" is easy as the scenery can't be beat! I'm telling everyone I know to try it! read more

Marci is great at getting people motivated. This is such a great idea. The scheduling is so easy, and I always look forward to seeing her.

Bought a groupon and thought I would give it a shot. The worst that could happen is I'd get wet, right? It was AMAZING! I was greeted by Marci and Sarah on the beach. They gave great instruction before we left the beach and walked me through every step of the class. Marci kept the pace slow and steady so that I was able to really focus on what I was doing and take in the surroundings. Sarah was there to help with the poses, and they both offered alternative movements to keep me in my comfort zone. It was so serene, peaceful, and a great workout! If you like yoga and enjoy being near the water, this is a must do. (Oh, and I did not get wet) I can't wait to do it again! read more

Lots of fun! I had never paddle boarded before and felt really safe and taken care of by Marci and Sarah. There is nothing like practicing yoga on a paddle board on the ocean surrounded by water, sky and fish jumping around you. read more

I've practiced yoga for 8 years and have experienced many cool spaces and instructors but yoga on a paddle board out in a lagoon in Southern California is unmatched. I was a little apprehensive but after the first few minutes, I became more relaxed. Our instructor was great.. Very down to earth and both encouraging and challenging. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to experience something new in their yoga practice! read more

Such a great experience! I love practicing yoga yet had NO stand up paddle boarding experience. They give you a quick tutorial before you head out and it's much easier than you think! They were really helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The lagoon is nice because the water is mostly still with the occasional small waves from boats driving by. It's a great mix of yoga and nature. It's always nice getting out of the studio! They take pictures throughout the class which is great so you have pictures you can share with friends and family. Would highly recommend! read more
