Got to experience my first SUP yoga class ever with Floating Yogis yesterday through ClassPass. From the start, a welcoming experience from the staff to others taking the class. My goal was not to fall in and was reassured that it was really hard to. A few poses felt really difficult, but that's because I'm just not good at yoga. Spending time on the water and in my own space was a welcome change to my typical crowded spin and Pilates classes. I'm excited to return and am also going to check out their special events for for the full moon!

This class was a blast! Marcy our instructor was so great at making us feel relaxed and challenged at the same time! We really enjoyed doing the paddle board yoga and would highly recommended it for anyone!!

Sarah and Marci (as well as the rest of the instructors) at Floating Yogis are amazing! The company is great- great location, great classes, great people. I've done both the sunset class and the morning class- both equally as fun/relaxing/enjoyable. I want to try out the full moon paddle, which looks super cool too. Highly recommend!

I have been wanting to muster up the courage to try SUP yoga for a long time. When the groupon came out for Floating Yogis I jumped on it! I am incredibly happy I did! I am honestly surprised I didn't chicken out and not use the groupon. I have tried SUP 2 or 3 times in the Carlsbad lagoon and loved it! I have been practicing yoga for upwards of 5 years (hot yoga and normal vinyasa) but at times find it to be a little to simple. I was truly afraid I was going to fall into the lagoon upon practicing SUP yoga but to my surprise I did not! I also thought the flying fish was going to be a huge issue for me but they were not. In fact they added a complete opposite of distraction for me. I was able to focus far more doing SUP yoga then I have ever been able to doing yoga on "dry land." I never knew I could work the muscles under my scapula's doing yoga! I will have to say that I am proud of myself for trying Floating Yogis. Marci and Sarah are great! They go slow enough for you to get into your poses and give excellent instruction, especially for being on a paddle board. The whole experience was one of a kind. I was able to get up into wheel and camel pose, which truly was amazing. I have done yoga at the beach but it is not the same as my SUP yoga experience. The balance of shifting body weight evenly that the board teaches you can not be duplicated elsewhere. Try them out! You will be pleasantly surprised! (I am not a paddle board expert by any means but I will say the boards provided are great ones!)

Floating yogis was an awesome experience I will definitely be doing again! The owners were so friendly, outgoing, and positive. They are both amazing at what they do. It was the perfect way to start our weekend! I don't do yoga on a regular basis, with that said they gave plenty of modifications because obviously being on the water is more difficult than being on a flat surface. I loved the feeling of floating, and looking up at the sky while doing yoga!!!

If you have never taken a paddle board yoga class I highly recommend to try it here. The instructors are phenomenal and the experience is unmatched. I've never had a work out that connected the mind and body so much while keeping you grounded with nature. Listening to the waves while doing a yoga flow is the best part!

They even take photos of the class and post them on Facebook for you to share!

My mom and I took a sunset SUP yoga class with Christy in Saturday evening and had an amazing time. We were nervous about falling in as we are familiar with yoga but not so much with stand up paddle boarding. Happy to say we did not fall in thanks to the helpful direction of Christy! This was by far one of the coolest things I have ever done. It was a challenge but so much fun. Being out on the water & doing yoga was an incredible experience. I can't wait to go back!

I just love Floating Yogis. I have been several times using the WildFire app. Every instructor I have had has been great! This class is definitely for all levels, even if you have 0 experience with SUP. The instructors will show you everything you need to know to make you feel completely comfortable on the board. Also, they take cool photos of each class and post them on their Facebook the next day!

    We had so much fun!

I've been here twice now and both times were wonderful experiences! They are so helpful for people new to paddle boarding and even ask what you'd like to focus on with the yoga practice to help you best. This is such a creative idea and I love how calming the atmosphere is. My sister and I had a blast!

Down a hill at the lagoon- a cute little studio inside and that goon

I loved the smiles and positive energy that Marci and Erica (our two lovely instructors) brought to the class.

This studio is intentionally designed to help you adapt, expand, and feel more alive. One of my favorite studio experiences so far. I genuinely did not want to leave! The Philosophy & First Impression: Before my first visit, I received a welcome video explaining the studio's philosophy: Using breath and hormetic stress (heat, cold, & movement) to grow stronger, healthier, and happier together. Their belief is simple & powerful, "When you take control of your breath, you take charge of your life." When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear a man inside calling out, "Breathe in... let it go. Breathe in... let it go." (It seriously felt like the building was breathing.) The Space: I was warmly welcomed by staff who helped me check in, sign a waiver, and gave me a wristband and a full tour. The studio includes: a sauna; a cold plunge room; a yoga room; an AQUATru filtered water station; cubbies, dressing rooms, and a bathroom; and a lounge room with an educational video on their method The Class (Vinyasa Flow & Breath 90): The yoga room was arranged in a circular formation, so we faced one another, creating a shared presence & community. The class itself was an intermediate, heated power vinyasa with a smooth, steady breath-to-movement flow. Wendi cued in Sanskrit followed by English and layered in breath cues and gentle inward-turning suggestions in grounded poses. After a steady standing series, we moved into deep stretching and incredible twisting and detoxifying poses on the ground. The Breathwork Experience: After yoga, we were guided onto our backs with padded eye masks waiting for us. Wendi led us through three rounds of open-mouth inhales and exhales ("Breathe in, let it go"), followed by Mula Bandha and long-breath holds. During one of the holds, I received a neck and shoulder massage with peppermint oil, and I could feel the cooling, soothing effect immediately. The third round was the most powerful, with reminders that our bodies were fully oxygenated. After the final exhale, we were released into savasana. Wendi closed with a beautiful reflection about looking back on our day, our week, our month, our life and saying, "It was a wild and wonderful ride," which perfectly described the whole experience. The Teacher: Wendi was incredibly welcoming, thorough, and present. She took time one-on-one beforehand to explain and demonstrate the breathwork, which is essential for a sense of safety. After class, she stayed to connect personally and encouraged me to explore the sauna and cold plunge. She definitely holds a grounded, confident, and supportive container. The Sauna & Community Vibe: (I forgot a bathing suit for the cold plunge, but I spent time in the sauna.) It was a warm, social gathering space where the energy of the class naturally flowed in. People were connecting, chatting, and relaxing together. It felt like a communal ritual space. Overall Experience: This studio has so much to offer! The integration of breathwork, yoga, heat, cold, and education is genuinely thoughtful (not trendy). It was such a pleasure to experience Breathe Degrees. This is a must for any yoga enthusiast! Practical Note: First-timers must arrive 15 minutes early, no exceptions. This studio prioritizes safety and intentionality.
