Sunset SUP

Yoga Your Way does an amazing job at teaching stand up paddleboarding to all skill levels in a unique and breathtaking environment. I would recommend their classes to anyone looking to try something new on the water or seasoned SUPers looking for a great local team that is top notch.

I was a bit speechless after the SUP Yoga class at the lagoon. I have been living by the lagoon for several years and always wanted to try SUP and finally got to with Yoga Your Way. We did it as a Carlsbad Chamber's CYP (Carlsbad Young Professionals) event, and the majority of us hadn't SUP'd before. All of us thought we would fall in the water, but nobody did! The best was that no matter how experienced or fit/not very fit, MaryRose and Heather made it incredibly relaxing, comfortable, peaceful and FUN! These ladies are absolutely amazing, and know what they're doing on and off the water. They are a such blessing in our community and I can't wait to SUP with them again. I highly recommend trying this out to everyone! Thank you ladies!!!

What can I say. Before now, I have always been intimidated at the thought of doing yoga. Being active doesn't mean being flexible in my book. Everytime I've tried to get into yoga before, the instructor moved to fast and I'd give up feeling embarrassed for even trying. That was not the case when I decided to sign up for Floating Yoga last week with Mary and Heather on the Carlsbad Lagoon. This was a double 1st for me, my first time on a paddle board meant there was no way I could escape completing my 1st full yoga class (unless I decided to swim back to shore). Mary was incredible, and eased me into the process with a mindful meditation that slowly transitioned into yoga instructions that pushed the boundaries of my typical comfort level. The next thing I knew, I was posing in positions I'd never imagined my body was capable of... Let alone while balancing on a paddle board. This not only built confidence in my ability to continue doing yoga again, but also left me impressed with myself for not falling off the paddle board. I also walked away with a great endorphin rush from the meditation and yoga flexing. In the end - I was left with two new strengths and desires. One, to do more yoga. And two, to get on a paddle board again. Thank you Mary and Heather, you've tranformed a newfound yogi!

Tyler did an amazing job setting this place up and he's hired some great people including Carti, Marrianna, Shira, and so many others that make this a wonderful place to visit during the week highly recommend it. This studio is intentionally designed to help you adapt, expand, and feel more alive. One of my favorite studio experiences so far. I genuinely did not want to leave! The Philosophy & First Impression: Before my first visit, I received a welcome video explaining the studio's philosophy: Using breath and hormetic stress (heat, cold, & movement) to grow stronger, healthier, and happier together. Their belief is simple & powerful, "When you take control of your breath, you take charge of your life." When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear a man inside calling out, "Breathe in... let it go. Breathe in... let it go." (It seriously felt like the building was breathing.) The Space: I was warmly welcomed by staff who helped me check in, sign a waiver, and gave me a wristband and a full tour. The studio includes: a sauna; a cold plunge room; a yoga room; an AQUATru filtered water station; cubbies, dressing rooms, and a bathroom; and a lounge room with an educational video on their method The Class (Vinyasa Flow & Breath 90): The yoga room was arranged in a circular formation, so we faced one another, creating a shared presence & community. The class itself was an intermediate, heated power vinyasa with a smooth, steady breath-to-movement flow. Wendi cued in Sanskrit followed by English and layered in breath cues and gentle inward-turning suggestions in grounded poses. After a steady standing series, we moved into deep stretching and incredible twisting and detoxifying poses on the ground. The Breathwork Experience: After yoga, we were guided onto our backs with padded eye masks waiting for us. Wendi led us through three rounds of open-mouth inhales and exhales ("Breathe in, let it go"), followed by Mula Bandha and long-breath holds. During one of the holds, I received a neck and shoulder massage with peppermint oil, and I could feel the cooling, soothing effect immediately. The third round was the most powerful, with reminders that our bodies were fully oxygenated. After the final exhale, we were released into savasana. Wendi closed with a beautiful reflection about looking back on our day, our week, our month, our life and saying, "It was a wild and wonderful ride," which perfectly described the whole experience. The Teacher: Wendi was incredibly welcoming, thorough, and present. She took time one-on-one beforehand to explain and demonstrate the breathwork, which is essential for a sense of safety. After class, she stayed to connect personally and encouraged me to explore the sauna and cold plunge. She definitely holds a grounded, confident, and supportive container. The Sauna & Community Vibe: (I forgot a bathing suit for the cold plunge, but I spent time in the sauna.) It was a warm, social gathering space where the energy of the class naturally flowed in. People were connecting, chatting, and relaxing together. It felt like a communal ritual space. Overall Experience: This studio has so much to offer! The integration of breathwork, yoga, heat, cold, and education is genuinely thoughtful (not trendy). It was such a pleasure to experience Breathe Degrees. This is a must for any yoga enthusiast! Practical Note: First-timers must arrive 15 minutes early, no exceptions. This studio prioritizes safety and intentionality.

I love that they offer classes that incorporate strength building like Pilates and kick your asana in addition to hot flow and vinyasas. Lots of opportunities to stay engaged and build community like book clubs and competitions (bingo, March madness, etc). They have showers and are located in a super convenient plaza so I can rinse after class and go grocery shopping or run errands. I love PLAY!!

I've taken hot yoga classes before through Core Power, but I've never sweat like this in my LIFE. I was drenched, my clothes soaked through, it was quite hilarious actually. I could see sweat coming through individual pores all over my body. I think I took 8 different classes with 8 different teachers and each flow was nice! There are clearly lots of regulars that attend classes. Aerial Yoga isn't heated, and it was by far my favorite class. Maybe it was the novelty of it since I had never tried Aerial Yoga before, but nonetheless, I felt like a kid and was radiating a smile the entire time. Gayle was lovely. She even took some pictures of me in poses to share with my friends and family. I ended up having a private class since no one else showed up (yay me!!!). Parking available in the shopping center. Bathrooms & showers available inside. Filtered water available too- not cold, but you don't really care after you just sweated your entire body out. The staff & teachers were kind. Some made efforts to share modifications while others let people do their own thing. Some offered to do hands on adjustments (with consent), others just taught and gave praise.
