I'm not really sure what her purpose was or what she's supposed to be doing but she interrogated my family the entire time. She kept asking us how many people are supposed to be coming and kept saying "this isn't the place to have a party." She butted into every single conversation we had and was breathing down our necks the entire time. Literally every time any of us used the trash can, she changed the trash like she was annoyed we were using it. I swear the trash was changed 7 times in short amount of time we were there. I didn't mind changing it when we were done either. She screamed at one of my family members very loudly over something he said in a PRIVATE conversation he was having with one of my other family members. Mind you, the conversation had nothing to do with her or the lake. She also screamed at somebody else's kids because they were throwing sand. I understand not throwing it at people but there was nobody around and they were just being kids. My family and I did nothing wrong and I don't think it's fair that we were made this uncomfortable at a public lake. We are good people. We minded our business, were polite, cleaned up after ourselves, and even fed the lady because that's the kind of people we are. I understand if we were being rowdy but we were just literally enjoying family time together. Definitely will never be going back to this lake again.

The…read morebathhouses seem like they had just recently been remodeled, and they were beautiful and very clean and updated. The lake that the campground is on is very pretty. There are some nice playgrounds for the kids, not big but they get the job done. The pool is small, but nice for kids to play and hang out. There are no fire pits at the spaces so that was a little disappointing. The spaces are very small, but paved. Lots of roots and trees around, so there is not much even ground even for sitting at the picnic tables. Definitely a more family friendly feel, and with the space is being so close. It's not a very relaxing campground with peace and quiet if that's what you're looking for. It wasn't overly loud or people partying it up or anything, but just not a private campground if that's what you're looking for. For $40 a night, I would say that it is well worth the money and our kids had a great time!

Bruce did a great job of redoing the interior and had a very creative solution to a practical issue in a smaller older trailer...gotta stay to learn! Lol. I particularly liked having a small microwave and fridge in the unit. Allowed us not to waste leftovers. It was a nice day so we went down to the beach and got a bit of sun before walking downtown for the evening. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck later in the evening and was surprised at how many stars you could see literally a block or so from downtown. If ya wanna experience Floyd in a unique manner give this place a try.

We saw kids enjoying the pools and many people grilling. This site is right by the Blue Ridge Parkway and we had nice cruises along the Parkway. Most of the camping sites we found on the parkway had no hookups , which is ok if you are tent camping but not for those of us towing a camper. Mid-June we were wearing sweatshirts in the mornings and evenings while walking our dogs. Great cool mountain breezes . No air conditioning required . A very peaceful stay.

I hiked the hanging rock trail, window falls and hidden falls…read more The window waterfall was so fun! I almost missed the window; even though there was a sign that pointed in that direction. From the sign/arrow that points at window rock, climb down and you will see the window in the rock to your right. Through the window, you can see a waterfall! Visitor center has nice and clean restrooms. Their water refill station was not working when I went.

Very quiet park....twice weekly onsite trash pick up....felt very secure......comes with cable and lots of over the air T V. Electricity is extra....propane refill in the park at a reasonable price. We stayed for a month....very resonable. We were here for a surgery at Duke Medical Center which is about a half hour drive. Several historical points of interest close by....theater....botanical gardens....lots of college sports and attractions. No on site Laundry....however several laundromats in the near by town....several grocery stores and restaurants of a nice variety and shopping within a 20min. Drive..... And the Staff handout goodies to the Dogs.....the Dogs love the Friendly Staff too.

Deep River Campground is located in a rural area of Asheboro North Carolina. It sits with…read morepeacefully between a small lake and Deep River (which leads to the Cape Fear river basin). It is very pet friendly (many campers have dogs) with trails along the lake and to the river. It's a popular fishing spot, although we didn't go since it's winter as of this writing. Bobby, who maintains the grounds is super helpful & attentive to any challenges that arise with the site and our needs. Scott, the owner, was very accommodating. And Linda in the office was just as sweet as can be. We would definitely recommend this campground and have had an amazing experience here. Thanks to the staff for all you do if they read this!!

Only bad note I have is and it's not their fault there is a gun range somewhere in the area and at times they shoot pretty late but it's not all the time thankfully!!! Other then that it really is must see campgrounds!!!
