There is a laundromat about 8 miles away. There's plenty of shopping choices within a few miles. Food Lion & Dollar General are a short drive away (8-9 miles). Burlington is 12-ish miles away & has most any store or restaurant one might need. The landscaping is lovely, with a variety of flowers all around the park. Attentive owners, reasonably priced, clean, & quiet. We were here for a couple of months while my husband was working in the area. If he ever gets called back, this is the RV park we'll call 1st. Plenty of shopping options within a short drive.

There are a lot of long termers and while I have been to places this was a negative, it is not the case here. They were friendly and campers were kept up. My only wish was the pool opened earlier in the day, especially on days that it was 90 degrees before 10am. I took my daughter and her friend here in my 32ft class C and had no problem at all maneuvering. Has full hook-ups with no issues. Each site had it's own trash and fire pit. Kids enjoyed slushies, a few pool games and lots of swimming. There are some video games as well as a juke box but the juke box was out of order when we were there. As a warning, bring cash or check. No credit cards accepted. The rates are reasonable. They have a calendar of events and I happen to stay the one weekend nothing was scheduled. They have an Easter Egg hunt every year that my kids have enjoyed in the past and still talk about it. It's a great place to relax and make some memories.

It does note that each of those cities is about an hour and a half away. I cannot imagine why you would consider staying here if you were doing anything in either of those two cities. These seem to me much more suited to the nearby NC Zoo or one of the natural areas in the region.) I appreciate that everything is on one level (no sleeping in a loft where you crack your head sitting up in bed) and that the bathroom is surprisingly large, particularly the shower. There is a single sink, so kitchen and bathing uses are combined into one facility. I guess one of the casualties of this design is any comfortable seating space to read, etc. There are two wooden chairs at the small desk/table, but the only suitable place to read indoors would be the bed (which has a firm but comfortable mattress). The outdoor space is nice provided the weather cooperates. Other cabins are close enough that you can probably hear incidental noise, but people are far enough away that you should get peace and quiet unless people in a neighboring unit get out of control. There's a peaceful pond with a path around most of it. Having walked the compound, I think it would be worth it to pay the nominal extra amount for one of the "view" cabins that would overlook the pond. The zoo is very close by, and downtown Asheboro is about 10 minutes away.

The power hookup is at the front of the site, smart huh!The people that is in the spot at our front door have their sewer hose ran through our picnic table and no doughnut of any kind. Its just a raw dog hose hanging off in the hole. So lovely at your door. If we didnt just travel 12 hours I would have kept moving because this place is terrible. You dont wanna stop here!! Surely there has to be nicer places in the area, I thought Koa would be the nicest. We had an entrance to a walking trail right at our site - great to take the dog for a walk and frolic in the river. The bathhouse is VERY clean and the showers on the women's side have a seat in the shower and an adjustable shower head. The dump station is clean and easy to get to. We did not take part in a lot of the activities, but we saw several things sure to entertain kids and adults. And there is a dog park with lots of fun for Fido. If you need a place to stay in the Asheboro area, Zooland Family Campground is the place! (About a 15 minute ride from the zoo).

The…read morebathhouses seem like they had just recently been remodeled, and they were beautiful and very clean and updated. The lake that the campground is on is very pretty. There are some nice playgrounds for the kids, not big but they get the job done. The pool is small, but nice for kids to play and hang out. There are no fire pits at the spaces so that was a little disappointing. The spaces are very small, but paved. Lots of roots and trees around, so there is not much even ground even for sitting at the picnic tables. Definitely a more family friendly feel, and with the space is being so close. It's not a very relaxing campground with peace and quiet if that's what you're looking for. It wasn't overly loud or people partying it up or anything, but just not a private campground if that's what you're looking for. For $40 a night, I would say that it is well worth the money and our kids had a great time!
