I bought a 1 year old used RV from them. They said that they had done a complete inspection and…read moreservice on it, and it was like new. Turns out, the plumbing system had multiple leaks, almost every hose/electric attachment point was loose or broken off, and they had serviced the radiant heating system with the wrong kind of fluid, which totally ruined the system, causing corrosion and crystalization throughout the system. Instead of the $70/gallon Alde fluid required by the manufacturer for that year camper model, they had used $20/gallon fluid prohibited by manufacturer service bulletin. They tried to fix the plumbing leaks over and over again. The RV was in their shop for most of the first 6 months I owned it. They never found the source of the leak, and lied over and over again that it was fixed. The heating system: they said that it was all in my head and that it should be working fine because it was practically a new RV. However, I heard the service manager cussing "why can't I find just one f***ing competent RV tech?!" to himself one day when I dropped the RV off for the 5th or 6th time with the same plumbing leak. Just don't buy a used vehicle from them, and best to learn to do service and repairs on your RV yourself, as thousands of RV owners will attest. It is really hard to find a f***ing competent RV tech.

Came to seriously look at camper vans. SIL has retired and sold her very successful business…read more Salesman was seated on a couch and didn't bother to ask us anything or even get up. SIL inquired about camping vans. He said 'there's one in the ac and several Outside.' We looked at the van inside and then had to ask if we just go outside and look or what? He waved his hand toward the door and told us to go ahead and go look, still not getting up at all. Even if they had what we're looking for, we wouldn't do business here.

Rental process was super-easy! We'll do it again…read more Class-C unit was mostly clean (there were a few ants, but it's stored in a yard...) and there was a random dirty sock on the over-cab bed, but otherwise clean. Staff explained everything pretty well. Only hiccup we had: getting hot water and finding the local place to refill propane. It finally worked, but it took some time.

The mice in our RV ruined our vacation! We rented an RV from the Durham, NC, Cruise America…read morelocation. We had no problems during pickup and our first day was nice. However, when we awoke the next morning we noticed that some of our food had been eaten by mice and several drawers had mouse droppings. I contacted customer service the next day and they suggested buying mouse traps (which we did). We didn't catch any of the mice yet noticed additional mouse dropping in other drawers. This was very unnerving for my wife and kids. After returning the RV, we did receive credit for the mouse traps but were told any additional credits would have to come from corporate. I contacted corporate and they responded via email on Aug 27 with an apology for my inconvenience. They refunded (only) $55 to my credit card and gave me a $75 voucher for a future RV rental. I doubt I will use the voucher due to our bad vacation experience.

The next morning Ben spent a couple hours on hold trying to get some help from the company because we were having trouble getting the stove top to work. He never was able to talk to anyone at the main company and no one at the local company knew what was wrong. Another camper helped us figure out the problem. So the first two days we spent getting the camper set up. On the third day my husband woke up sick and tested positive for COVID. So, we returned the RV and headed home. Cruise America did not give us a refund for the five days we didn't use the vehicle. Bottom Line: Don't rent from Cruise America!

First time RV RENTAL in Greensboro. Office could be more organized but once you get to speak with…read moresomeone they are helpful. Rented for 2 weeks. Had minor fender bender. Definitely get the Zero Deductible Insurance. Turned it in with no problem. Two additional issues arose during our two week trip. The key to the storage broke off on day one. We contacted the National office and they really weren't able to help us with the issue. I followed their recommendations but Walmart & Home Depot had no clue about a replacement key. We went the whole trip without storage key. Really didn't matter in the long run because the camping sites are a low crime area. The second issue was the AC in the cab would go in and out. Fortunately it was on more than it was off. I contacted the national office. They were supposed to give me an appointment for someone to address the issue. They contacted me I reached out to them I never heard anything else from them. So we completed our trip without the AC issue being addressed. It didn't take away from our ability to enjoy the RV experience.
