You're first struck in awe at this gargantuan structure you think they pulled straight out of Richie Rich's mansion. This place is flooded with pure entertainment for toddlers, kids, teenagers (and adults). My 2.5yr old spent quite a bit of time everywhere, to the tune of three hours. The toddler room was a great toe-dip into what would come next, allowing her to set her pace while playing with the rotating stations, alphabet blocks, the seesaw and teddy bear slide. Then came the gigantic playpen, a kids dream. Packing two separate sections, both accommodated with their own unique slide, for endless fun. Three levels of obstacles and circus-like contraptions made our play date one we can't forget. Arcade is modest, just enough to keep the younger children happy. Concession stand had plenty to offer.. we refueled ourselves with some goldfish and choose two flavors of the slushees. We had dinner plans but I would consider having a meal here. It's the first time I've ever encountered a fully turf…read morefield for a baseball game before (including the infield, mound and everything) but you can't argue with how it looks, and it seems the players are happy with how it plays as well. Beyond just the looks of everything being pristine and new, the stadium has a good amount of amenities for a smaller park, specials on ticket packages for many occasions, and some decent food. I've been to three games here, and each time was very happy with my seats. Right now, most games have a lot of seats available, so once you're in you can kind of maneuver to get the angle you want. Either way, you won't find a bad seat in the house, and in the outfield there is plenty of room for standing and watching as well. The Rockers are an independent baseball club, meaning they aren't a farm team for a major league program. There are several interesting things about this, chief of which is that you'll see guys with MLB experience mixed in with guys who have never played at a level higher than this one. Scores can get out of control sometimes, but two of the three games I attended were played close and relatively clean. Finally, with independent baseball, remember the team has to support itself financially in full. Some items are more expensive than at affiliated clubs, but nothing at least to my eye, is outrageous. Last thing, on fireworks nights, thanks to the turf field... they let the fans out onto the field to watch the show! That is a really cool experience, and one that you won't want to miss if you have kids that are learning about baseball.

We couldn't see anything on the nerf battle screen. The score wasn't changing at all so I watched the kids who was doing VR. That was pretty cool! Things I didn't like: 1. There was only one bathroom. 2. The arcade games are "quarters only" so bring cash. They have an ATM but had I known, I would have brought cash to avoid fees. 3. Only one employee at the time. So we had to wait for her to get nerf set up then set up VR. She had to divide her attention. Final thoughts: I think this place should be advertised for adults only. **Parents considering Spikes Travel Baseball: Please read before signing up.**…read more I am sharing our experience after being involved with this academy for approximately three years through camps, batting cages, and the Golden Spikes program. Unfortunately, our experience with the Spikes program has become extremely disappointing. I have not seen the level of player development, communication, or family support that I expected from an academy based baseball program. One of our biggest concerns has been how an injured player is handled after being medically cleared to return to baseball. In our experience, the organization completely ignored the doctor's clearance for our child to return to full baseball activity. There was no meaningful evaluation, return to play process, or effort to help our child transition back onto the field after receiving medical clearance. Instead, we felt that our child was essentially being treated as a liability rather than being given an opportunity to return and continue developing. For the amount families pay, I expected significantly more than access to fields and uniforms. The Spikes teams are coached by parent coaches, rather than being directly coached and developed by the academy. Families are paying thousands of dollars for the program, yet we experienced very little direct support from the academy when we needed guidance. We also came away with the impression that the owner was primarily interested in collecting tuition rather than supporting players and families throughout the season. Once tuition was paid, we felt that communication and concern for our child's development declined significantly. Communication has been a major issue. Even after our tuition was fully paid, I continued to feel that our concerns were not being taken seriously. Messages and questions went unanswered or were not addressed in a meaningful way. That has been especially frustrating after being a loyal customer for three years--attending camps and purchasing batting-cage cards, including additional $100 cards for extra batting time, on top of the money spent on the Golden Spikes program. Our first season with Spikes, we saw two families leave the team during the season. Now, during our second season, our own family has reached the point where we feel we need to leave as well. This is not about expecting special treatment for our child. It is about expecting a baseball academy to communicate with families, respect medical clearance, support players through setbacks, and provide a genuine opportunity for children to develop. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I am sharing this so other families can ask important questions before committing thousands of dollars: * Who actually coaches and develops the players? * What happens if a player gets injured? * Is there a formal return\-to\-play or evaluation process? * How does the organization respond when a doctor clears a player to return to full baseball activity? * What support does the academy provide to families? * What exactly is included in the tuition? * How accessible is academy leadership when parents have concerns? * Does the organization remain engaged with families after tuition is paid? After three years of supporting this organization, it is incredibly disappointing to feel that the program has changed so much. We wanted our child to play baseball, develop, and continue loving the game. Instead, our experience has left us feeling unheard and unsupported. **Parents deserve to know what they are paying for before making that commitment.
