The restrooms stand is the best example of this respect. The restaurants are clean and well appointed. Two shower curtains are in the shower stall with a sit down stool for the shower and I'll sit down or posted area for the sit down area in the into shower. Nice touch. Clean, operated washers and dryers are available in both the men's in the ladies room and you can use your cell phone and a smart phone app to pay for services. Nice touch. We note some derogatory comments about the attitude of the owners, but in our experience, nothing could be further from the truth. Put yourself in their position watching a wide range of RV travelers coming in and out all day long. If you do, so, you can imagine they'll see some excellent visitors, many, run-of-the-mill visitors, and some are to put it in nicely less than desirable. They see it all in our experience. A little engagement on some humor goes along way, and we found them to be delightful. Go in the joy. This is a nice campground with clean well appointed facilities. Go and enjoy. Note: our Garman GPS did not take us to the right spot or the right entrance. We ended up on the opposite side of the Dan river at a private residence. Spent a long weekend at Greystone recently while out on our years journey. An excellent location…read morethat has a world class view of Pilot Mountain. This private gated park only has ten sites, so its very nice by comparison to those with hundreds of spaces. FHU at each site with plenty of room for large rigs. Our 43' fifth wheel fit with room to spare, along with a side parking area for our one ton dually. 30/50 amp power along with good pressure on the water and drain all within a few feet of each other in the left corner of the concrete pad site. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring along with some low maintenance landscaping. Check in was all online simple and easy, our host met us as we pulled in and guided us to our site as well upon our arrival. No shade trees of any real size, so it is full sun here. The bathhouse is exceptionally nice, a large open space with a nice shower with stone walls and river rock floors, and very clean facilities. I don't often use rv campground bathhouses but I did use this one, it is exceptional. The they a military discount on their rate, which was a nice benefit on my checking in. The owner is friendly and helpful and offered me the military rate when she saw my veteran truck tags without me saying a word. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the kind treatment and exceptional bathhouse 01245

I mean, we didn't hear one squeak in any floorboard! Talkin' rustic and solid - a wonderful combination. This Inn has impeccable cleanliness and tasteful décor of every room. We came with another couple who are regular guests at B&B's all over the USA. They were decisively impressed. We came for the nearby Yadkin Valley wineries but found simply hanging out at A Mighty Oak to be quite pleasant. We sat on rocking chairs on the 2nd floor covered porch as we read or just talked as the stars emerged in the sky. Then we ascended to the 3rd floor for games (ping-pong, board games, TV sports) and reviewed the substantial bookcase. Of course, a huge facet of any B&B is the proprietor. We all recognize a passion for excellence when we experience one. It's there in spades with Todd, showing up in attentiveness to our needs and a pleasant, playful grace about him and his wife Lisa. And we saw his excellence in that 2nd "B" in B&B. We're talking as close to farm-to-table as it gets since the B&B's rear acreage is home to cows, chicken and plants. And, uh FYI, no smell in the air. Match freshness with culinary excellence and you've got an Rx for memorable breakfasts. I mean, I had never had a Scottish Egg and can't wait to see what Todd has up his sleeve next time! A passion for excellence shows up in every aspect of a business, but when it's a B&B, it can become quite special since they're sort of personal - I mean one actually lives there albeit for one or two nights. They have everything you need in the units with a full kitchen with lots of appliances (blender, coffee machine, dishwasher & microwave), k cups & teas, cooking oil, a full spice rack. Three trails sends an email a few days before check in with where to park, instructions on how to get in, etc. I love that they give you PIN numbers to access the front door and your unit door and you don't have the hassle of needing to carry around keys.

We had a reservation three years ago, and the elevator was not working. My wife made another…read morereservation this year and told them I am on a cane and need a ground floor room. They put us on the upper floor, and the elevator is still out of service. We did not receive the email stating what room we had been assigned, within the time to cancel the reservation. They claimed a cane was not an excuse, but it is accepted under the ADA. I know this is true because I was an ADA compliance officer. If this is considered a public space as a hotel, they are required to make accommodations under federal law. They would not refund our reservation. Avoid this place. They do not follow federal guidelines. They can't repair an elevator after three years. The city of Elkin, NC needs to investigate this facility.
