This park is great for walking, running and bike riding. Especially after having a big meal like…read morethis guy did!!! The trails are paved and run from just passed Robinhood road to Country Club Road. Several benches along the path as well. Small creek runs alongside the entire path. Lots of shade. It is dog friendly with several spots to dump your poop bags. There is also a dog park for both large and small dogs. It is fairly large. There are picnic tables under the gazebo connected to the restrooms. There is a children's play area and the path also runs alongside a property that has beautiful horses. The path is connected to several local communities....lucky them! Definitely a park that you can come exercise or come do some reading, relaxing or even "Work from home"! Check it out you will not be disappointed!

This is a lovely park and it has a nice dog park area. It's currently under construction, so plan…read moreaccordingly. That should end around January? One note: there's a lady with a neck fan who dominates the small-dog portion of the dog park. And she is there ever. Single. Day. She acts like she runs the place and she has a mean little dog who terrorizes most pups who try to enter. She will lazily call, "oh, he jut wants to play!" As her horrible dog tries to menace your pets, then rolls her eyes and eventually strolls over when the horrid thing gets actively violent. I think she likes having the park to herself, and she gets there super early, so everyone else just sort of avoids her spot. The good news is that she's usually gone by 10 or 11 AM, but she's a menace.

We recently moved into the area and dropped by the park for our first visit with half of our…read moregrandchildren. Beautiful park that has ongoing construction for an expansion. Which strikes you first as you enter the driveway is there are three white corrugated plastic signs at the entrance instructing you where to park, etc. from there as you enter the actual play area you are bombarded with more white signs each with a special rule and regulation. My youngest grandchild is five years old and cannot read, but even she pointed out that she's never seen so many signs in a park. She's absolutely right. What is the point of all the signs? Do the city leaders not believe that the community will value this lovely park? Or is somebody in charge also the owner or relative of a sign shop? From the entrance vantage point I counted no fewer than 10 signs! What were they thinking with the landscaping? They literally have razor grass growing in one of the islands that separates to play areas. Anybody designing a park knows darn well that children will travel in a straight line from one plate area to another. Installing an island with loose bark mulch and razor grass shows either a lack of understanding of children's behavior or worse, an intentional yet natural hazard designed to punish "rule breakers". This beautiful park with all these ridiculous signs remind me of an experience we had a church in Dayton, Ohio that had a long, deep reputation for serving the local community with community potlucks and outreach to the homeless. A few well-off families contributed to a remodel including fresh new carpet, and after it was installed insisted that we could no longer hold those community events because they might damage the lovely new carpet. Today that once thriving church is dead in nonexistent. Seriously, Midway citizens need to breathe some common sense into this project and allow this part to be what it should be; a lively gem in the heart of the community. Will it get damaged through careless play? You bet! That's what adults are for. Adults need to provide maintenance and if necessary, guidance for the few adults who don't understand the social norms that come from being a part of a healthy community. That doesn't mean more signs that get in the way of fun. You need to immediately install an area for children and teens who are interested in skateboarding and skating. I understand that you don't want them crashing into toddlers in the play area, so give them an area that belongs to them. And make sure to give them something that they can spray paint and tag. That's right, I'm encouraging you to embrace the idea of graffiti in an area that you provide and maintain. You're off to a great start, but someone allowed this to get off the rails. You can do this!

Beautiful park with lots of potential. Brand new playground equipment, very thoughtfully considered…read morefor all ages as far as the actual equipment. We ended up trying this park out because we heard it was awesome for kids who love to climb. It's even fenced in and has some shaded areas, in addition to several picnic tables. You can easily see your kids play while you're having a rest and eating lunch. Nice, clean amenities such as a bathroom, shelter and a paved track to enjoy a leisurely walk or run. My biggest disappointment here is all the rules and signage in place that I feel takes away from kids being able to be kids, especially at a playground! The landscaping set up was a poor choice when it comes to the location and expectation for it to be kept in order. It's not set up with children in mind. Definitely can't play hide and seek behind the bushes or pick flowers for your mom or you'll get yelled at by the property and grounds staff. If your child is fascinated by nature I wouldn't recommend coming here. You'll get the side eye just for looking at the trees. You'll just have to see for yourself and it will make more sense. And not being able to bring your bikes or scooter or sidewalk chalk?? I've never seen these kinds of rules at a park. There is so much sidewalk and smooth paved areas, it would be perfect for all of those things!! But they seem to care more about looks than functionality and it being a safe space for kids to be free. Anyways like I said nice features but I don't think this place was designed from a child's perspective and them being able to have fun.
