And it is right next to the Mooresville Police Department. As such, there will be no shredding or skating here until the pandemic is over. The space s large and the features are in good shape. Lots of rails and bars and ramps to roll up and down. Lots of open space to ensure that no one gets moving all too quickly. Nothing significantly elevated to a point that Tony Hawk would be feeling challenged in any way. But it is cool and it's a near spot. This space has a baseball field, basketball court, two tennis courts, picnic shelter, playground and the skate park. The skate park is pretty big with quite a lot of ramps, corners and slides. When I stopped by, there were bikes, scooters and rollerbladers rolling along and defying gravity. There is a skate park and a disc golf course in this park as well as a large pavilion. There are (steep) steps up to the road just behind the Virginia Museum of Natural History. The actual hiking path is rather steep also. In our group, those that could not manage a steep hike used the pave roads to cover the same distance.

To use this facility you need to register with the town of Cary. It's pretty straight forward - name, address, birthday. The park is outdoors, enclosed by a fence and very well kept. My sons scooter needed to be re-aligned and the Pro shop on premises had the tools to fix the issue. There's also free wifi - which is great for me to do some work while my son gets his fill. Now, it you are like me, you should wear pads. I mean, it got so bad I had to leave the rink because I was afraid my flailing arms world strike a kid and throw him across the building. It's true, and can no longer skate like I did years ago but It was fun trying. The young staff staff that works there are all very friendly and polite. They have a snack bar that looked like they a a big selection of offerings but we had pizza for the party so I did not sample. Throughout the time I was there they had organized games on the rink that was a blast for the kids. They were able earn something to trade in for prizes. It was a blast, kids and adults were having a good time.

First ting is the place is ran by high school kids, the skates are all torn to pieces (and they only offer quads), the rails are sticky, bathrooms disgusting, and be careful where you sit because it might be soaking wet! Typical skating rink...I feel like skating isn't real popular like it used to be or maybe this place just lacked some things haha. We loved all the colorful flowers and little creeks the park had to offer. It worked out well too that they have a lot of seating benches to sit on and rest my knee too. The park was built in the early 1900s and they have maintained it pretty well. There are some beautiful homes nearby to it and churches. It was nice to see during Easter Sunday the amount of families that were walking to services or leaving and walking through here. It is definitely a hidden gem to check out!

My college days have long been gone and wealthy I've never been And tho Dunleath Historical is where I bought, it's Fisher Park I dreamed of living in. For years and years at 7:00 a.m. I've donned my coat and hat and had my walk through Fisher Park, cuz baby that's where it's at!! The park is lush and evergreen with trails so easy to explore. And if you want to sit and rest, there are benches and rocks galore The park feels untouched and natural even though it's groomed by a neighborhood team. It's the place I go to not only walk but to meditate and dream. It's mini bridges made of stone are so beautiful to behold. I run my fingers through the stream. The water is clean and crisp but cold! There's a playground there with slide and swing for the kiddies to have a blast. There are majestic trees and historic homes to remind us of our past It's users are an interesting bunch. You never know what you will see. It might be a photographer shooting a wedding or a dog taking a pee! Just a few minutes walk from the downtown scene. This park is a gem to behold. I hope that God is good to me and I can come here even when I'm old. So next time when you need an escape and long for the sound of a lark, grab a cup of coffee, sit on a bridge and fall in love with Fisher Park!
