Float Pod
Elliott R.

Awesome float at Float8 in Orlando! The facility is pristine and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Everything is provided for your float experience so just show up with an open mind. If you're looking to try floating for the first time I highly recommend the starter 3 pack as often it can take you a few floats to fully "let-go" and enjoy the float experience. This will definitely be my go-to float spot next time I'm in town!

The pod is filled for you in the private room.

My sweet cousin decided she wanted to gift me the experience of floating relaxation. Truly a therapeutic session. I loved everything about it; from the moment we were greeted to the full explanation of how the pods work and at the very end we were offered water and tea. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to destress and reduce anxiety!

Great experience! Each person gets their own room with a shower and float pod. There are customizable music and light settings in the pod (or total silence and darkness if desired). It was our first time and Bethel gave us all the tips to have a relaxing first float. Thank you Bethel, you really made the experience above and beyond! Cherry on top was the tea served after the float--delicious! They have several blends but "leaf it behind" was our favorite. We bought some loose leaf to take home!

For the past several months or so, I have found myself waking up from night terrors, landing in the hospital due to panic attacks (I thought I was having a stroke), & fighting depression, anxiety, & insomnia. Although cbd oil, psychotherapy, & professional massages has helped me with some of my anxiety, I knew I needed something more .. . I needed something that would be a more natural alternative to self-medicating & prescribed medicine. Float therapy/sensory deprivation tanks has been a lifesaver! Since I am horrible at meditating, this forces me to get to that level of silence & stillness. At some point, while floating, I started smiling & now can't seem to stop. I feel good. I feel relaxed. I feel a little more sane.

This facility is beautiful, clean, relaxing, and peaceful. The fact the water drains after each person enhances the feeling of cleanliness. I can choose my colors, music, and decide whether I want to float with or without my senses. For $5, you can add aromatherapy. I have NEVER felt the way I feel after a float. This is just astounding. After your float, you may grab a wonderful tea... I look forward to the day that I can enjoy my tea inside once COVID passes.

Sooooo, this was different ... and cool. I heard a friend at work talking about these pods and I immediately needed to check it out. Well, that happened today! I had no idea what I was getting myself into (other than a pod, a har har) and I think I loved it. Since it was my first experience, I just purchased a one 60-minute float. Coming out of the pod today, I thought I could have even gone for a 90-minute float. Hmmmmmm. I didn't want to come out just yet. However, I'm getting ahead of myself here. I need to tell you about the entire experience. I made an appointment on the phone and they were able to get me in the "day of" ... saying that, I have a feeling this place is going to get more and more popular, so don't expect that as the buzz keeps growing. I got lucky. Anywho, I showed up and was immediately greeted by a really sweet lady at the front counter. She gave me some information to fill out and took a couple of other people to their pods. In a couple of blinks, she was back and explained that she needed to clean the pod I would be going in and it would take a few minutes. Noooo problem. I was early! Also, I was super impressed that everything was being explained so well. Just a few minutes later, I went into the pod room. The lady (whose name I didn't get and I'm kicking myself because she was awesome) explained everything to me about the shower, the pod, the panel on the wall and answered any other questions I had. The room was super clean and it felt good just being in there. She told me the water would fill in the pod and the lights would come on inside. During this time, which is about 8 minutes, you take a shower. (Ummmm...she had left the room by now in case you were wondering.) So, the pod filled with water (its body temperature, not hot), I took a shower to make sure I was nice and clean for the nice and clean pod and it was time to get in! When I got in the pod, I shut the door all the way down. The green lights were on inside, (they stay on for a few minutes) and there is music playing underwater. There is also a lady's voice, in the pod, "The Lady In the Pod" who gives you instructions but I wasn't listening (no surprise there.) Even though the lights were on, I panicked for like a half second and opened the pod a couple of inches. The lights were still on in the room (they will turn off when there is no motion) and I told myself I was being a baby and to shut the pod and shut my mouth ... so I did. A few minutes later, the music will stop and the lights in the pod will dim to darkness. This was very peaceful. Time stops once you relax and your mind will bounce around, stop or do whatever it needs to do. I think I might have fallen asleep a couple of times but hearing yourself snore underwater will wake you right up ... so, be prepared for that. Be prepared to hear silence and your heartbeat. Be prepared to feel like you aren't in water anymore and you are just hanging out. Its really cool. So, 60 minutes went by and the music and lights in the pods begin to fade in to let you know time is up. (Wow! I had no concept that I was in there for an hour.) This time, I could hear "The Lady In the Pod" .. her soothing voice said "thank you and I hope you enjoyed the pod" or something like that. I got out of the pod, got back in the shower, this time using hair conditioner, and stepped out of the room after getting dressed. The sweet lady from before met me outside by the restroom, greeting me with a warm cup of tea. I sipped the tea and chatted with another lady who had just gotten out of her pod a couple of minutes before. It was her first time too and she loved it as well. Overall experience? I felt really calm and clear headed afterwards. I liked being in the pod and even wished I was in there longer. (They do have 90 minute floats.) I think I need to go back. Heck, I even drove home in 5:00p traffic and I couldn't be bothered being annoyed. Yup. Its like that. Enjoy!

From start to finish, the experience was incredibly smooth. The online booking process was super easy and straightforward, and when I arrived, check-in was quick, easy, and welcoming. The lobby immediately sets a calming tone with its cool-toned colors, cozy atmosphere, and beverage station. I also loved browsing the selection of at-home wellness products available for purchase -- a nice touch for anyone wanting to extend that spa-like feeling at home. The staff was kind, courteous, and helpful, clearly explaining the float process from start to finish, including what to expect before, during, and after the session. If you've never tried flotation therapy before (also known as sensory deprivation or REST -- Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique), it's a unique experience where you float in a pod of warm water filled with a high concentration of Epsom salts. The result is a near-zero gravity feeling that can help with stress relief, pain management, improved circulation, and deep relaxation. I booked a session hoping it would help with some persistent neck and shoulder tension -- and it absolutely did. During the float, I was finally able to stretch areas I hadn't been able to move in weeks. I walked out feeling lighter, looser, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves to a unique, restorative wellness experience.
