The team at Float8 Baldwin is not only genuine and kind, but helpful for first time floaters. They give helpful tips to make the first experiences even better (ie: not shaving before a float, the pre-float shower should be luke warm so as not to shock your body with the body temperature water; etc). Floating is definitely something words cannot express. Go and see the amazing benefits for yourself! read more

So relaxing, after my other float place closed 2 years ago and loss out on my pre paid floats. I found FLOAT8 and finally booked my first with them. Great staff, had a well deserved stress reliever. Brought my goggles and waterproof speaker to play soothing music. Ordered 2 more to use very soon. read more

I did a 45 minutes sauna through ClassPass and had a great experience. Red light therapy offered, playing music was encouraged, and I was given ample time to dry off and get ready after without being rushed. There was only one employee that I could see; she was friendly and helpful. I had only been to one other sauna before that had towels with Velcro big enough to wrap around me which I would have loved, but there was a robe and regular towels. read more

Hakuna Matata! Thats all you will say once you leave your float therapy session. Approaching our third year after a pretty bad car accident we have become accustomed to being in out of Chiro, Ortho, and soon Physical Therapy; we are now in search of more holistic pain management. East coast floats caught our attention now that we're in the neighborhood. The storefront talks about reduction of stress, anxiety, and pain so naturally we were game. I have to admit at first we were hoping for pain relief yet we got so much more. Upon coming in we sign our life away per usual and we're given a tour. We received a break down of how their tanks work and how the water is cleaned. We were instructed to take a shower before and after floating. There are options to keep the light and music on to reduce first time jitters and told about the recommended time to reflect on your experience in their lobby with a cup of tea. I don't want to discourage anyone it should be noted that this experience can be challenging for people that may have a fear water/drowning or are claustrophobic/dislike being in tight spaces. Overall I have never felt more relaxed and rejuvenated from a spa treatment. The price point can be a little high especially for two individuals but definitely worth it. Thank you East Coast floats! read more

For some time, while studying for my licensing exam I sat across the street of this business wondering if floating would really help with anxiety. My biggest concern was being enclosed in a dark machine and alone with my thoughts for one hour. Read a bit on it and saw a Groupon for two sessions. Purchased the groupon and about a week prior to taking my exam, I scheduled a floating session. Scheduling was easy, location seemed pretty clean and instructions were easy. It was surprisingly relaxing. I was not lost in my thoughts and focused on trying to enjoy the experience. I actually fell asleep after 20 minutes of floating and kept floating with ease (there's so much salt, there's no way of your drowning, even if you fall asleep). After the session was over, I was immediately woken up by the lights and sensors. Took a quick shower and enjoyed the complementary cup of tea afterwards. I decided to schedule the second session for the night prior to my licensing exam. After a long day of studying, I went to my session, relaxed and was ready to head home and to bed. Next day, I was very a bit anxious, but mostly relaxed and well-rested. Took my exam and passed! I really enjoyed my sessions and would recommend people trying it and see if it's for them. read more

For a total mind, body, and soul rejuvenation, this place is the best and will fulfill all your needs. From the moment you walk in your pampered. For your float, you get our own private room. They have you rinse off before you float and then you get to fully shower after the float, complete with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, to get all of the salt water off of you. They provide you with earplugs so you don't get water in your ears. A washcloth for showering. A neck pillow during the float in case you can't get comfortable. They also play the most smoothing music that it's herd not to relax and just let go. Even when you're done floating the pampering doesn't stop. After your shower in your private room, there is another room you go to that provides a hair dryer, dry shampoo, and various face and body creams. Afterward they have a fresh cup of tea waiting for you in the lobby to rehydrate and journals in case you want to write about your experience. It's all so personal and so relaxing. Definitely worth every penny spent. read more

Baldwin Park... First, the experience itself was fantastic. A true mind and body experience. Paige at the front desk was lovely! However, I purchased this on Groupon awhile ago... Despite the fact that the Groupon showed expired, I received a call AND a text that I had two credits. I explained on the phone that it showed expired, and they said that they would still like to honor it. Upon checking out, they said they had no idea who would have called or texted, and they refused to honor the Groupon--despite the fact that I still had the text and voicemail on my phone. Paige at the front desk tried her best to help, but the manager on the phone (who didn't bother speaking to me) refused to honor it--almost as if I was lying... again, despite the proof. For poor customer service (and also making me feel like a liar), one star. read more

One of the best most relaxing experiences in my life. Very clean and well maintained. Very friendly staff.

The facility is nice, but the young man (with the top knot) working the front and assisting customers with the infrared sauna, definitely needs coaching. To start, before I had a chance to undress, he asked if he could start the sauna--what?!? Why would I want the sauna started and minutes to start ticking before I was even able to get in it? He then used a custom setting which gave me 3 minutes to undress before the sauna actually started. He should have done this to start with. Second, when I made the reservation, I requested to shower after the sauna and I was told it was available and that I could; however, the "top knot" guy said he wasn't sure it would be available and proceeded to tell me that other appointments have first priority. Why?? I have no clue. Third, he knocked in my door while I still had 8 minutes remaining on the sauna session and interrupted my meditation to tell me that he would have a shower available. This could have waited until after my session. The facility is nice, but this person needs much more customer service training and/or he is just not meant to deal with customers at the front line. He took away from my experience. I am still very confused about the shower situation too. read more

What an outstanding float tank experience! After two poor encounters at another Orlando-based float center I decided to make the drive out to Baldwin Park and try out East Coast Floats, and it was absolutely the right call. We arrived to a clean, quiet, and professional location with a beautiful waiting area right on New Broad street by Lake Baldwin, The women who checked us in was also a licensed massage therapist and, after we had put our information into their iPads, she led us to each of the float rooms to go over the instructions for this experience. Both rooms were spacious and clean, and each pod was state-of-the-art with lots of space, an internal intercom system in case of an issue, light controls, and a spray bottle with cloth in case salt got on your face or in your eyes. The rooms the pods were housed in are great as well, lots of space with slip-resistant flooring, showers, and everything you need for a great experience (ear plugs, towels, shampoo and conditioner, vaseline for any cuts or scrapes you may have before entering the float chamber). The experience began with a few minutes of relaxing mediation music which slowly faded out over time. From there I was free to float in complete comfort and bliss; the experience of a float tank is truly like nothing else I have ever experienced. Upon checkout (and a discount for our first time floating) we were given little gift bags and instructions for floating in the future if we chose to. If you are looking for an easy way to de-stress, a place to let your mind relax and wander without stimulation, or a quiet and intense mediation experience then East Coast Floats is your place. This facility is top notch and by far the best that Orlando has to offer with this service, and I will absolutely be going back. Even if you are a bit hesitant about floating in general be sure to give this a try... when I first heard of the concept I felt it was a little too "new age-y" or "hippy science" for my taste but since giving it a chance have done a complete 180. East Coast Floats is as good as it gets and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! read more

Float8 Baldwin Park - The pod I was in :) - Float Spa Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This is my second time here. I'll admit my first time was better just because my experience exceeded my expectations. My second time definitely had less inner chaos & it felt more familiar. There is something really wonderful about loosing sense of your limbs, direction, sight, & sound. All in a controlled, safe, spa environment. Such a great neighborhood too! The first time I went, it changed my life for the absolute better! After 60 minutes in the sensory deprivation pod I also scheduled a massage. It really was a reset button & my catalyst for change! The massage was done by Baliat & seriously that was one of the best massages I've had. I've been having really bad problems in my upper trap & my neck but that massage given to me 3 months ago is still working its wonders! I've been to a lot of spas - ESPA at the Acqualina in Miami, the Canyon Ranch Spa in Miami (now the Carrillion), even the Setai (The Spa by THÉMAÉ)- none of them were able to truly fix my shoulder & neck issues although there is a vast array of services. None of them offer float pods! Don't get me wrong these are beautiful spas but I don't really understand why high-end establishments don't offer these experiences. I can personally vouch that the combination of both a float & massage is a tremendous help to my neck & my shoulder. The second time I went was for study they are doing on high blood pressure. I did not quite understand my level of stress. But after a 60 minute float in a sensory deprivation tank, there was a really huge change in my blood pressure! Everyone here is kind & receptive. There is a true moment of bliss after you leave the pod. I love that the staff always indulges you - I'm sure they see that enlightenment on an hourly basis, but they really do genuinely hear you. My first time they gave me a goody bag with these yummy lavender epson salts, soap samples, & float info. Plus the entire establishment is really clean! I'm still in the study & I'll be going for 2 more sessions. My next session I scheduled a massage afterwards. I think after being in the sensory deprivation pod & relaxing your muscles by having a massage is the best way to go. If you had any curiousity - just do it. The staff will answer any questions you have. I love also that they provide ear plugs - you are truly sensory deprived. The pods are amazing - way better than tanks - they are very spacious. Also, if you also suffer from claustrophobia (and I do) - don't worry - the sensory deprivation pods are very spacious - also all the rooms have ambient lighting that only triggers with movement in the room. If you feel stifled, you can float with the pod hatch open, the room lights will shut off. I've even opened the pod mid-float without triggering the motion sensor. read more

Wow! East Coast Floats really floats my boat! Seriously, where do I start? After hearing about a friend's amazing float experience, I knew I had to try it. Unfortunately, there are no float spas in Tampa. Luckily East Coast Floats was being built in Orlando! I patiently watched their fb updates and was excited when they finally opened up their book for appointments. I was told though fb that massage would be available later in the month but I figured I would try the float on its own first. You know, just to get my feet wet. ;) I was so surprised when I got an email the day of my appointment stating that they were bringing in a massage therapist just for me! I was the first to get the float/massage combo and it was incredible! I was taken to a private room with shower where I was instructed to insert the provided ear plugs and shower before and after floating. Also to be careful and not get water in my eyes. It is very salty! Due to a timing issue with the remotely controlled tank light, I was not in complete darkness and a water jet made a slight bubbling sound. My senses were not as deprived as I'd hoped but I went with it. I imagined myself as a leaf floating downstream and became quite relaxed! After, I had a massage from Carolina. She was great. Found and attacked my trouble spots. I felt like I was still floating long after I left! Laurie was waiting to meet me when I was finished and made me a cup of tea! She asked for my feedback and seemed genuinely interested in my experience. The only bad part of the day was having to drive back to Holiday afterwards. But I'm very much looking forward to my next visit. It is something you MUST try!! read more

I've been looking to book some sauna time somewhere for intended use of trying to detox heavy metals from my body. After checking the reviews, I booked a session at East Coast floats and I had an amazing experience! My only disappointment was that I didn't book a float to compliment my sauna experience. I was completely relaxed and enjoyed the aromatherapy in the rooms as well as the water they provided and the comfortable wraps to wrap in while using the sauna. I truly intend to book a session every weekend. Thank you!!! read more

Hit pause. Submerge. Breathe deep and enjoy the sensory deprivation experience at East Coast Floats. I did today for one hour and for $69 I found the experience unique and relaxing and wholly enjoyable. Last year, it was acupuncture. This year, a new experience was necessary and I was happy to learn East Coast Floats was conveniently-located in Baldwin Park. For a first time check-in, there is a $5 off offer available to Yelpers. For a first-time visit, you can also purchase a second session for an additional $30. The session includes time to shower before stepping into what looks like a giant mouse (the kind you click, not the kind you trap). Once you turn the lights out, honey, they are OUT and you are in the buff and floating free. Faro at the front check-in was very helpful and the space was attractive and modern. The vanity space was PERFECT after the session to allow each of us to re-groom and head back out into this crazy world. read more

Living in Baldwin park makes this place such a gem! I have been to many float centers, though not the best, it is # 2 on my list. It surely is the best float center in Orlando (I've been to the other 5. East Coast Floats was like something out of a dream! My appointment was one of the last ones of the day on a Sunday evening. Even after a busy day, the place was spotless and felt brand new. The front desk staff was extremely attentive and very helpful! My room and pod were both clean and refreshing. This was my first float and it certainly will not be my last! The water temperature was wonderful. I loved that I had complete freedom in my room and pod. I could turn on or off the music to suit my liking. I very much enjoyed the serenity found at East Coast Floats and will be recommending this site to all my friends and family. Can't wait to go back! read more

I love, love, love this place. Whenever I float I leave feeling as if all of the stresses are gone, just disappeared. The place is sparkling clean, and the decor makes me think I've gone to The Ritz. And I don't understand what that other reviewer meant about the music/message not coming on at the end--the soothing voice brings me back around just fine. There's even a fully-stocked dressing area with all the hair products i need to return me to my pre-float appearance. As a writer, I use my float time to work through those difficult points in my writing. If I hit a wall, I know it's time to float. Makes it so I look forward to those writer's walls!!! I was a first time floater and had a great experience! The atmosphere is good vibes only, everything was clean, and the staff was friendly/knowledgeable. The complete and total lack of respect shown by this manager is disgusting. I had 3 appointments & had planned on purchasing a membership. However, their computer glitch and scheduled an appointment incorrectly. After calling &asking to cancel, the manager called me informing me my card would be charged and was extremely rude. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience with East Coast Floats! I've only floated once before, but this blew my first experience out of the water. Float was nice...interesting experience. Paige was great. As a first time floater I wasn't sure what to expect when coming here, but thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience. I had done a little research about floating before this, but mainly was dragged here by a friend. I'm always up for trying new things at least once. I went in with an open mind, but honestly was thinking in the back of my head that it was a little 'hippie' and probably wouldn't benefit me in any way that yoga or exercising couldn't. I've gotta say that I am presently surprised that I really enjoyed it! I felt so rejuvenated afterwards, almost like I got a reallllly good nights rest but without the grogginess and more spunk. Some minor leg and shoulder aches I had seemed to have melted away. I just feel...better. As a skeptic, I say try it at least once, you could be surprised. : ) As far as my experience with the store- the lady at the front was very detailed with what to do upon entering and exiting the tank. The pods are a little alien looking at first, but the rooms themselves are very inviting and relaxing. I felt very comfortable, which was a good thing since you are nakie basically the whole time. The float for me took me a few minutes (15-20) to get adjusted to, I realized I was tensing up to hold my head up when I didn't need to. Once I got past that and found the right arm position (took a few tries), I was golden. Everything is very clean but not to the point of feeling like a hospital, it's still homey feeling. One suggestion I have for the ladies is asking for an additional towel for when you get out. I always use two bath towels at home - one for my hair and one for my body. Other than that, I loved it! Planning on going back in a couple months and purchasing a sauna/float package. read more

I booked my first ever float appointment in hopes that it would sooth some achy spots in my body. Anthony was very helpful in explaining everything to me before I started my float. It started off nice enough, there is plenty of room in the pod and you can choose to leave it opened or closed. You shower in the same room as your pod so you have full privacy throughout your experience. Floating is seamless as there is so much salt in the water, you rise quickly and it require no effort at all. It really allows you to stretch out any areas of your body, for me my neck, and find a comfortable soothing position to just be, and float on. After about 20 minutes I went a little stir crazy because no promised music had come on, and my water started to feel pretty cool. I played with the buttons inside my pod, even though Anthony had told me he controlled the music, and nothing came on. I was able to change the lighting in my pod but that was it. No voice came on telling me that my time was up as I had been told it would, so I got out thankfully only because there was a clock in my room. Once I got out of the pod to shower again, all of the sudden music came on, a voice was heard, and a jet turned on. Apparently my pod had never been activated, so I was sitting in stagnant cold water with no soothing music. When I emerged from my room to finalize payment I told Anthony that I had enjoyed floating, but that my pod turned on only once I had exited. He replied "Oh". Not a sorry, no discount offered. Nothing. Also I thought it was a bit odd that there was no area for getting yourself back together after floating. I left with completely soaked hair. I noticed in someone else's review they had a picture of a primping station with a blow dryer and some other items. If this is an area that exists for trying to put yourself together better before you leave, this was not offered to me. I do feel like I was jipped of the full experience and worse than anything was the lack of care and customer service I was given. I would like to go back and try it again the way it's meant to be experienced, but I will have to think long and hard...or at least ask who is working when I book my appointment. The amount of salt can cause some discomfort so be aware of that. I felt discomfort briefly in my ears (even with plugs). I wanted to rate this place higher, but lack of attention to detail, which I assume was literally pushing a button is a bit appalling for what you pay. read more

Good for chronic pain. Released some of the tension I've had in my back and neck. Plus a great friendly staff.

Upon arrival the place seemed really relaxing and neat. My overall first float was fairly good. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and informative (Can't remember his name and its only been a few hours lol) Anyway I like the idea of the place. You get your own private room with the pod and a shower. The temperature of the room was fairly decent for me as the pod temp was good as well. The ONLY reason I give this place 3 stars is because I felt the pod could've been a bit cleaner. There were particles and hair floating around in the pod. There was also a partial dirt ring around the pod that I noticed when I changed the color of the lights. I guess it is/would be pretty hard to clean after every person gets out. The rest of the place like I said was clean. If you keep your eyes closed then hey there would be no problem! Lol Anyway OVERALL cool & difference experience that forces you to relax by cutting you off from distractions. read more

Booked a session and was looking forward to it after hearing great things about float therapy. The therapist explained the process and specifically mentioned that music would play for the first five minutes, then there would be no more music until there were five minutes left (to allow time to shower and leave). Unfortunately, the music played the entire session, which severely detracted from the experience. I was forced to continually open my float pod and check my phone for the current time, getting saltwater on my phone and in my eyes in the process. I informed the owners of my problems, but they remarked that they could not do anything about it.
