Leaving the room after my session
Trina D.

Highly recommend! My acupuncturist recommended this place to me as I was not feeling too well and was congested. I love anything health and wellness and had not yet tried the salt room experience before. Forewarning it looks creepy on the room at a glance but embrace the weird. I luckily enjoyed my session alongside two other ladies who frequent the salt room weekly. They were outfitted with reading tablets and reading lights which was cool to see. I relaxed in the lounge chair and loved that they had com meditative music playing. Thank you to the gal who reserved me via text, she recommended I wear light colors so I didn't walk out looking dusty and was easier cleaning. I closed my eyes and relaxed and in the middle of my experience my ears unclogged. I left feeling rejuvenated! I cannot wait to experience it again. I would like to add into my monthly routine for the benefits.

First time doing just the salt room. I have done halo massages here and love it. They have updated the seating and you just melt into their new comfy chairs. Very calming and relaxing. So helpful for those of us with allergies.

I am obsessed with the SaltRoom! I've been going here for years. Xiomara is my husband's favorite for a deep tissue. I have gone for salt stone massages, deep tissue, and prenatal. I have had facials and used the salt room for allergies. I keep coming back and the quality remains the same! I would recommend the salt room to anyone. Sign up for emails for seasonal specials you won't want to miss!

I have the salt room monthly membership for my psoriasis & I haven't had a bad experience. Everything has been so clean. The front desk girls are so kind & they make scheduling so relaxed. Water & tea are offered in the waiting area. Karen, the massage therapist is amazing, I highly recommend using her if you can get an appointment(she's popular). Recently started using the Sauna & have really enjoyed it. Looking forward to using the other services they offer.

Great natural lighting!

I had a great experience at The Salt Room. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and encouraging. The salt room was very zen and I was extremely relaxed and slept as the salt therapy worked its magic on my respiratory system.

I did not expect a facial to pluck my eyebrows. They are also overpriced. The lady is nice but geez. I didn't realize that my brows were messed up until I left. Don't touch clients' eyebrows. I also realized I still had black heads I could get out as soon as I got home. I have never felt uglier coming out of a facial than I did before going in. I have never regretted getting a facial until now. Huge disappointment for $230 cash.

We had a great experience at Allora Day spa in downtown Orlando…read more We went for a couples deep tissue massage and it was fantastic. The spa was inviting and filled with warm tones throughout. After we checked in we were offered a glass of wine (of your choice) which was a delightful treat and something you often don't see at a spa. We slipped back to the cozy lounge while we waited for our massage therapist to arrive. We were greeted by Angel and Kiara who lead us to our room. Both of them were fantastic and provided a wonderful deep tissue experience. Each of them knew exactly the right pressure and when to dig in deeper After our massage we were both rejuvenated thanks to Angel and Kiara! I highly recommend them and the Allora Day spa!

I've been going to Allora for several years for massages and they're fantastic!…read more I highly recommend Kiara as her hands are literal magic. My back feels amazing whenever she's done with me. Their membership tiers are very fair and comprehensive. I love that the unused monthly vouchers can be rolled over to the next month and stacked for multiple services. It's also super convenient that there are no contracts and cancellation is easy. Even though they're downtown, parking is nice because, thankfully, they provide validated garage parking; though the spots there are kinda small and can fill up if you go at busy times. I love that they also have multiple locations, so you can go to whichever location is most convenient. If you're looking to treat yourself to a spa day, I cannot recommend Allora enough.

I chose Sand Lake Dermatology Center after a negative experience with another clinic. The reviews…read moreare great so I felt like this would be a good choice and so far after two appointments, I really like this clinic and Dr Mailer. Before coming to Sand Lake Dermatology I had a biopsy at another clinic and was scheduled to have a carcinoma removed. I was unable to have this done at the other clinic so I booked the first appt available with Sand Lake Dermatology which was set for the end of July. Once I was able to get my records sent to the clinics, a staff member called me right away and moved my appointment to have a carcinoma removed from my face to last week. Because of the interactions I had over the phone and online with this clinic, I felt comfortable having this clinic remove the carcinoma even though I had not even seen the clinic nor doctor. While I was mildly aware of what the procedure entailed, the staff that prepared me answering questions and numbing me(Marisol and Aaron) were great and made me feel comfortable. Dr Mailer was just as nice and made me feel comfortable. I was of course aware of the dr performing the procedure, I couldn't see it and didn't feel it. The procedure is called Moh's procedure where they typically cut away the determined margin around the affected area, bandage you up and let the patient wait in the lobby while the removed specimen is being reviewed in the onsite lab. If the lab determines that not enough was removed to show clear margins, the patient is brought back in and the dr removes more repeating the process until margins are clear. In my case, the dr removed all that needed to be removed leaving clear margins so after the lab results returned after a couple of hours, I was brought back into the procedure room and the dr proceeded to stitch up my wound applying dissolving stitched under the skin and removable stitches outside. My appointment for follow up and outer stitches removal was set for one week later( this past Tuesday). I was prescribed a heavy antibiotic and advised to keep Vaseline on the stitched up area and keep it covered with a bandage that is changed daily. Once I was stitched up, I mentioned a growth I have noticed on my eyelid and the dr suggested that on my follow up appointment she would take a biopsy. So this past Tuesday I had stitches removed, the area where I had stitches seems to be healing well and it doesn't appear that there will be a heavy scar. I am happy to see this as the area that was removed was quite large and the area stitched was quite long. The nurse, Natalie numbed my face, the stitches were removed and I didn't feel anything. They also numbed my eyelid so the biopsy could be taken. This is a sensitive area so this was a bit more intense but it went quickly and the biopsy was done. I will likely have results next week. What could have been a high anxiety first procedures (I've never had any surgery or stitches) turned out to be a pretty smooth experience. I recommend consideration of Sand Lake Dermatology as the staff and Dr Mailer were great, the waiting room is comfortable and even the staff that manages scheduling, check in, check out, nurses, physicians assistants all made me feel important, individual and taken care of. I wish all medical experiences could be similar to what I experienced.

I've been fortunate enough to visit a few destination and resort spas over the years, so I've come to associate a massage with the entire experience--the atmosphere, the amenities, the sense of escaping for a couple of hours. Essentials is much more of a straightforward wellness clinic than a luxury spa, and that's something I wish I had better understood before booking. The space is clean and the staff were professional, but the environment felt more functional than relaxing. For me, it didn't create that "leave the world behind" feeling that I'm looking for when I spend money on a self-care day. If your priority is simply getting a massage from a convenient neighborhood location, this may be a good fit. If you're hoping for a more indulgent, high-end spa experience with an upscale ambiance, you may want to look elsewhere. Neither approach is wrong, it just depends on what kind of experience you're after.
