I arrived early for an 11am appointment. I was admitted to the red light therapy room about 10 minutes late, which I felt was reasonable. The location has only one red light therapy room, however, so I believe that the person with an appointment after me had to wait about 15 minutes longer than scheduled, and the person after that about 20 minutes. Scheduling is an opportunity for improvement. The Red Light Therapy is offered using an eight panel, dual directional set up, in a private room. It worked well, and I liked being able to have my audio-book playing in the background. Standing during red light therapy was a new experience for me, and I think it would have been tedious if I had not had my audio book playing. The standing therapy is effective, but it is not as relaxing as lie-flat red light beds.

As a walk in, that was my decision. The second time I made an appointment in advance, and arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time. After 20 minutes I hadn't been taken to the dressing room yet so I let the attendant know I had a somewhere else to be an hour after my scheduled appointment. About 10 minutes later they took me to my dressing room. I then waited in that room for about 10 minutes listening to a large group of people who were also waiting to do cryo. I ended up leaving without my treatment because I couldn't wait any longer. All in all what should have been 30 minutes total (including driving) ended up being a 2 hour waste of my day. I'd say check it out if you like cryo, but only when you have plenty of time.

Athlete Recovery Room was so accommodating! We phoned to make an appointment and they fit us right in. They were so welcoming and made us so comfortable for our daughter. They were informative on what would be most helpful and so knowledgeable about each therapy and the benefits. We did red light therapy and cryo therapy and came back again for more. I opted for the cryotherapy, Whole body. In the dressing room, I put on their socks, gloves and slippers. I wore their robe into the chamber. I don't know why I initially thought I'd be wet, but cryotherapy is not water. It's cold air. It was like walking into a freezer at a restaurant, if you've ever worked in the food service industry. First timers get 3 minutes in the chamber. It's a stand up chamber with a frosted glass window so you can see out. I did not feel claustrophobic. It was set at -122 and snow flurries were moving about. My eye lashes and arm hairs had tiny icicles on them! I shivered a bit but it wasn't bad. You have the option to have music or not. There is also a timer and a lighted bar that give you a heads up to the remaining time. It seemed very fast. Upon entry and exit, they take your temperature. They want to be sure you don't get too cold and they use that data for future sessions. The socks, gloves and robe are laundered, so there's a hamper for the used items. They have other therapy as well- theragun, compression boots, sauna etc. I gave four stars because I feel like I should have received a more comprehensive treatment plan, such as recommendations on how many sessions, how frequent, and what to expect - some sort of flyer or information. As a newbie, I have no idea going in what the mechanism of cryo is etc, so it would be nice to know. I do plan on going back. They have memberships for those who wanna take advantage of their many services. They also have some online specials if you check out their IG. My session was $35. There is a lot out front for parking. You can make an appointment online or you can walk in. They have a roomy waiting area.
