What a simply amazing experience we had at Float and a perfect way to start our Mommy Get Away! Setting up the appointment well in advance was extremely easy. My friend and I had each booked two sessions. I had booked the "Just Bright Facial - 25 min" with Tatiana and the "Pacific Paradise Ritual - 50 min" with Erin. As we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the staff and felt relaxed from the start. After checking in, we were walked over to the waiting room which was nice and spacious. Staff picked us both up within 5 minutes, which was nice. Tatiana was great! The facial was just what I needed for a quick revamp. My skin felt really great and refreshed. For the body scrub, I cannot have words with how amazing Erin was. It was my first body scrub and I didn't realize it would be as therapeutic as it was! The level of the scrub was light for me as I would have preferred the larger scrub grains but this was the style I chose as my friend chose another and said it was more grainy but that didn't get in the way of my muscles feeling at ease. I had several knots that I didn't mention to Erin and SHE FOUND THEM! At one point, I laughed and told her it's like she's talking to my body as she knew exactly where to add the pressure. Enjoyed a good massage but to get to the service they are extremely unorganized. If you try to chLange anything they can't do it. I understand they have limited staff. waiting a few minutes for my service they allowed me to go to the pool and out of our group of 6 women none of the key cards worled. They suggested we go get food at the hotels resterant and ended up waiting 20 minutes for a waiter to even acknowledge us. I came with anticipation of getting a total sensory relaxation, but I am disappointed with the fact the business owner has not gotten the locker room accessible, and the charming garden that I was hoping to use after the massage is unkept, reflective pond and the water fountains are both dried littered with dead leaves. I'm in the commercial asset management business, and this is not how an upscale facility charging the high service price should operate. There is definitely a big disconnect between the physical space presentation and internet photo impression. My husband and I are still waiting at lounge for our massage sessions. Unfortunately, FLOAT is still insisting on not using their dressing rooms and fine facilities due to covid... really? Why? It takes away from the ambiance of the whole experience to have to change in the massage room - sort of like everywhere else! Horrible service for spa located in nice area of SB. The front receptionists have very poor communication with entire process. Didn't think the service was at all worth it. Mix up with male/female masseuse and didn't seem to care it was their mixup. Didn't resolve the problem because they said they had too many people coming in. Nothing luxury about this place. Tried asking for more hot water for tea while on lounge area but no one ever returned. Their are Plenty of other spas near that area that offer better service for less. I do not recommend. read more

I am blown away by the amazing experience I had at Float! I am 39 weeks pregnant and came in for some relaxation and hip/shoulder work before baby made her grand entrance. Daniel created such a welcoming environment, continually made sure I was comfortable on the table and with areas he was working on. He gave me the most amazing massage I have ever received! My body melted as he worked on areas I didn't realize we're tight. Waking up the next day, I feel better than I have in weeks! The staff is kind and warm, the locker room is small but clean and stocked with robes, sandals, and toiletries. Parking is easy. I will absolutely be back! i have been to many salons in santa barbara, but FLOAT definitely is one of the best out there! their prices are on the higher side, but the quality of service, customer care, products used, and other complimentary experiences make it 100% worth it. i have had several facials and massages here, and every time i'm blown away by the kindness and care of float's professionals. they know how to create a welcoming atmosphere, as well as a truly soothing one. the massage bed was heated, there was calming music being played the entire service, and afterwards i was able to relax in the upstairs lounge and visit the outdoor garden as well they have a great selection of products available to use in the bathrooms (super clean!), as well as infused water and a large hot tea selection. the interior design is also impeccable! i truly feel like a luxurious queen at this spa, and can't get enough of it thank you for such wonderful experiences and i will definitely be back again read more

First time visiting this location and it's at an unassuming location that unless you knew it was there, it can be missed. Despite that, the spa was top of the list for Santa Barbara so we decided to give them a try. It should be noted that I thought it was easier to make reservations via the phone than their online services. They offer a variety of services and the wife and I ended up getting their couple's massage - CBD oil 80 minutes with enhancement warm salt stone and their ultimate renewal facial 80 minutes. First time getting a facial and we both enjoyed the process with our respective esthetician. I had Rochelle and she was very personable and relaxing to have during the facial. She does a great job working the face, neck, and décolleté regions during the process and she is as talkative as you want to be during the process. After the facial, there was a noticeable difference to our faces' skin tone and appearance. I'm writing this review after the 4th day in and the results are kind of still noticeable for me. So, I guess their products do work to leave skins glowing for days in a sense. For For the couples massage, we had the CBD oil and kind of debatable if CBD oil was used. The wife had CBD oil during her facial and noted the smell of it during the process, but neither of us could smell the CBD oil during the couples' massage. That aside, I had Randie for my massage and she did one heck of a good job. I generally have a lot of tenseness due to my occupation and light workouts from every day and she was very good at finding them and relieving them. For example, my left shoulder and right lower back regions had a lot of tension and strain and without me mentioning, she found and spent an adequate amount of time to relieve the tensions at those spot. Post massage, I was a bit sore, but I felt more relaxed and less tensed up overall. The warm salt stones were an interesting touch for the massage. I totally thought the salt stones were going to be placed on you during the process, but it was gliding motions across your décolleté and neck regions. Facilities-wise and ambiance-wise, the site is essentially revamped from being a home to be like a "resort" style spa. The site falls short of being a resort style due to the constraints of the building and site location. To me, it wasn't too bad as it was relaxing to wait at their lounge and they did offer some tea and cucumber water. Their bathroom facilities (single capacity) are a bit tight and at the time of our visit, the shower and locker rooms were inaccessible due to COVID. Their outdoor cabana looked interesting, but due to the weather, we opted to not try it out. The services provided were great and better than some that I've had before. The wife almost fell asleep during the services and I definitely felt better after the services. Although the facial and massage services were great, I find it a struggle to consider them again for repeated visits due to their prices. They charge resort style fees for their services despite being "like a resort" only. I could visit a resort for the same category of services provided for a cheaper price and add more enhancements to reach the same price at a resort. In addition, I would have expected a cheaper price due to some amenities inaccessible due to COVID. All in all, it was a good first experience with them. I definitely recommend Rochelle and Randie for their services, because I thought they were great in what they do. Worth a try to formulate your own opinions for sure, but hard to be my first suggestion due to their pricing. Note: minor negatives were the waiting times for the appointment time. We didn't start exactly on the dot for our appointment times so kind of sucks to have 5-10 mins "wasted" in the appointment time since we paid for the services for an allotted time. Checking out also took a long time as no one was at the front desk when we were trying to leave. read more
