From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed at Float. There is a great sense of calm in the Spa. The front desk knew who we were and happily guilted us back to the locker room where we could get comfy in lovely robes as was told we could choose inside by the fire side or outside by the garden pond. Our massage therapist's would find us ! I was booked for a 75 minute Float Signature massage with Jenneil. I have had an extremely stressful 4 months and had high hopes of some distressing , mostly I needed to give back to my body some TLC big time. Jenneil was so warm & friendly . She asked me questions that helped her to understand what my body needed. Jenneil listened and clearly understood . I fell into her healing hands and honestly had the best massage EVER! Thank you Jenneil for knowing how to work out so much of what my body was holding onto ! I look forward to booking another massage with you in the near future !!! MH read more

I was hesitant to go with Edyta after Susan had done such a wonderful job on my neck last summer, but Edyta really knows her anatomy and how the body works! She did wonders with my knees and hips due to a low back injury and listened to me blab about my life like a good friend. I didn't want it to be over. I'm amazed what a trained massage therapist can do to help people with chronic pain. If only it were less expensive and closer to home. Both therapists I've had at this spa were knowledgeable, helpful, and effective. It's expensive, but if you can treat yourself I'd highly recommend Edyta or Susan and the Euphoria massage. I am a whole different person afterward. read more

Great couples massage!! Highly recommend. Lots of choice to personalize. Great location to explore downtown Santa Barbra after or before.

The massage was amazing. My masseuse used just the right amount of pressure. I could have done with a longer time than 50 minutes because it was so relaxing. The only negative is the gym is right next to the gym and there was a lot of banging noise. read more

One of the best massages I've ever gotten! Thank you so much! Very relaxing! Wish there were Float Spas in Los Angeles.

A Beautiful location. The massage was relaxing with Alvaro and just the right pressure.I chose the deep massage with lavender oil. Also added Arnica to help with achy back.Reese the reception was warm friendly and professional. After the massage I swam in the heated pool . After the pool I walked to the beach and sat on the sand ..listened to the waves crashing. Such a beautiful experience that lived up to all my expectations!!! read more

I visited the spa yesterday for my birthday with my sister and cousin. The lady who booked our services over the phone was wonderful and provided a smooth experience. The check in process when we arrived was great and we felt very welcomed. We scheduled the jet boots prior to our massages and were escorted to a sitting area near the fireplace. While there we were chatting amongst each other and discussing how excited we were. An older lady who worked there made us a bit uncomfortable and kept walking passed us giving us dirty looks, did not offer a greeting even when we tried to be friendly and she just continued to pass by us numerous time giving us dirty looks and she even complained to front desk staff and asked them to come upstairs to tell us to be quiet. She refused to speak to use or acknowledge us and she is staff there. That was a weird moment but again the front desk staff was really apologetic and offered the jets boots as a complimented services due to the incident. We received massages from Daniel, Jessica and Tanya and nothing but high praises!! I would recommend Float although one staff could have possible ruined our experience, everyone else made up for it! read more

I was running a little late. Never been there before and location was hard to find. my masseuse was absolutely amazing. It was by far the best massage I have had in a very long time. read more

Definitely not worth the price that you pay! I wish I could give them more stars however it felt like a really basic massage. It cost $200 for a 75 minutes massage that felt like I was just getting lotion lathered on me. I asked the therapist to apply more pressure and she applied pressure for about two minutes and then went back to a really really light massage. I definitely think that they need more experienced masseuse's there. Additionally, the ambiance isn't that great. It's a lot smaller than expected! The website makes the location look so luxurious! However, when I went into the back area where the pool was there is leaves everywhere and there was already a session in the back; therefore it wasn't like you were in private and were able to relax fully. I was hoping for a bath rob, lounging in the pool patio area in the back, but it felt like you just checked in and they give you a massage and then they say "bye". I would not come here for the price point. There are so many better massage places you can go for a better price and a better massage. read more

Beautiful relaxing space with wonderful services. My service was so good. We spent a couple of hours here celebrating our adult daughter's birthday and felt spoiled by very good messages by Professional staff. read more

I am currently pregnant and went into Float Luxury Spa for a 75 min massage (mellow mamma massage). It was absolutely wonderful. Normally I don't do very well with massages because I am a very ticklish person so it's hard for me to relax, however the masseuse did a wonderful job! Best massage of my life so far. My husband also got a 75 min "Deep tissue" massage at the same time as me and he mentioned that it felt great. Afterwards we had a very pleasant 50 min facial (the works facial). Overall, I liked how we were treated kindly and were made to feel at home when we arrived. We were provided with a robe & sandals and tea/cucumber water. I didn't really walk around the premises, the inside of the building is small, however everything looked really clean, organized and had an overall "relaxed/pampering" vibe. I don't think I could go as often as I'd want to as the prices are expensive, but I definitely think its something nice to spend on yourself every now and then to feel pampered and relaxed. I hope to come again and definitely recommend others to go! read more

Float Luxury Spa - Waiting Room - Day Spas Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

Unsure why there's an option to book yourself online (last minute, week day- 10am) through Mindbody and provide payment info to lock it in when you in fact are not officially confirmed. There shouldn't even be the option. Last night, desperately I booked for an early appointment massage. (Prenatal!) I got a message a hour before my appointment stating it wasn't confirmed "without verbal confirmation from you"and that they did "have to give the therapist an hour notice as we are cutting it close here." Again, really shouldn't be an option online if they can't accommodate or make sure their staff is on call/checking to see if someone booked these appointments. I called back 5 minutes after I got the voicemail and got theirs in return- no call back. Called 4x- finally got the front desk on the line (30 mins before my appointment) She said there should have been a disclaimer when booking that it's not a confirmation. Not a "I'm sorry you just came to SB for this" Disappointed! read more

I got a fantastic massage from Lindsey! Totally relaxing and wonderful quality. I go to spas at 5-Star hotels often and this massage was definitely on-par quality-wise with that. If you're looking for extensive spa amenities, this is not the place. But for a top quality massage and relaxing environment it's perfect. Definitely recommend!! read more

Fantastic service and treatment. The attention to detail at Float is fabulous. I truly floated! Would recommend this spa 100% for any service. read more

My husband and I came here for a couples massage and overall we had a wonderful experience. I don't know the names of our therapists, but both were great! I will say the external building and surrounding area definitely threw me off a bit but once I entered into the building I was okay. Definitely give this cute place a try! read more

I had a terrible experience with this spa. I called in to have a facial booked. They gave me a time and a day I wrote it down. No confirmation email. Then I came that day at that time and they told me it was the day prior that my appointment was, I argued that they gave me a different day. They said they had called me the day prior - I showed them I had no missed calls. They charged me for the full service even though I never received it, so they charged me for their mistake! I think that's bad service, especially cause they didn't offer me a different day and I had to pay full price for their mistake. I will not be coming back here. read more

I had a 75 minute deep tissue massage yesterday with Caroline. I would say this was one of the best massages of my life. She thoroughly understands the body and is a true professional. Reese, at the front desk, was so friendly and the overall environment was exceptional. They are one of the best kept secrets on the Central Coast. My wife is going tomorrow! Excellent job ladies. Everything from making the appointments to paying at the end of a glorious euphoria massage.

I was referred to Float by a friend who said it was the only place she goes for a massage. Drive in from Carp, I really appreciated the email with instructions on where to park and to give yourself plenty of time because I factored that in and wasn't pressed for time. The service at the front desk was great- professional and friendly. Then, the massage! Hands down, the best massage I've ever received. The lotions used, the weighted blanket, the pressure was perfect. Crystal was absolutely incredible! As I was leaving, I booked a massage for my husband for a couple of days later and he was just as happy as I was. Great experience, so glad I can go back for my massages here. read more

I had my first massage here yesterday with Erin. This was by far and away one of the best massages I have received in years. The facility is beautiful and clean, the staff are friendly and kind, and Erin provided a wonderful massage experience. I have already booked again for next month. Highly recommend!! read more

Excellent atmosphere. Great technician. Enjoyed my facial. Very relaxing. Only negative was the room was a bit " chilly" but otherwise, great. read more

Very nice spa! Spa was clean and they had a nice area to relax with a fireplace. Kudos going out to my masseuse, Daniel. He was fabulous. I went in for an 80 minute Deep Tissue massage. And I came out so relaxed and tension free. We went in for a Girlfriend weekend treat and we felt pampered. The front desk gals were so friendly and welcoming. They also have some cute purchases, skin products, bags, books, etc. in the front reception area to look through. The only reason for the four stars is that we had outdoor cabana massages. It would have been nice to undress, get in a robe and then go outside to the cabana. Instead, I found myself undressing outside. Not terribly bad but I am klutzy and had a fear of falling. read more

I had an amazing experience booking a last minute "mellow mama" massage. I'm in my 3rd tri and woke up feeling uncomfortable and tight. I booked my massage with Lene at Santa Barbara Float and she exceeded my expectations. She is a mama and knew exactly the areas that I was sore and uncomfortable at. I felt very well taken care of and fell asleep at some points I was so relaxed. The spa was peaceful, quiet, and very clean! I will be back before this little one comes for sure. I will 100% book with lene again! read more

If you're looking to pamper yourself and get a little R&R, Float Luxury Spa is definitely the place to go to. We booked 75 min Swedish massages for 3 at 11am and arrived early so we could change into robes and hang out in the upstairs fireplace lounge before our sessions. Lily was my massage therapist and I told her my problem areas were my lower back. She was absolutely wonderful and I felt so relaxed and loose after! Everyone had positive things to say about their experience, so we're thankful for the great staff and service here at Float Luxury Spa! read more

We had a great time at Float Spa! I went with my mom on a girls trip and got the prenatal massage (32 weeks pregnant) Danny -- my masseuse -- was wonderful. my mom had Crystal who was also fantastic! I highly recommend Float read more

I visit a lot of spa's. So maybe I am spoiled having seen some great places over the years and had incredible treatments. Float, however, was not impressive and I will not be returning. Don't get me wrong, it was fine, they ran on time, the treatments were ok, but it was just not comparable, except on the price point. They charged prices of a luxury spa, but it was not luxury. It was my birthday and I had three treatments back to back. My first practitioner was nice, but rushing a bit in my body scrub. it was like she just had three cups of coffee. Then I asked for firm pressure in my massage and she ended it telling me I should have booked deep tissue. She basically was just rubbing in lotion/oil the whole time, not a lot of actual massaging going on. I did enjoy the facial, no complaints there. It was just the place and the offerings as a whole, it was crowded and the "locker room" which is just the bathroom with one stall, one shower, and a bench, was kinda dirty. The treatment waiting was nice but again, room was crowed each time I went in. Having to go by the front door to get downstairs to the ladies was also weird and outside patio was strange, unkept, and not private. Anyway- they are fine and trying, but you can fine better for that price. read more

Hadda great massage at Float. My wife and I booked a massage for our anniversary week in Santa Barbara and we both thoroughly enjoyed our morning there. The place is quiet clean the staff is very professional and it's a very relaxing atmosphere that can't be topped. We each had a 50 min session and enjoyed errrrry minute. After they have a nice garden in back that is equally tranquil and relaxing. I fully recommend Float for a relaxing massage. Go now....just go!! read more

Booked a body service while I was in town for a wedding. Cannot say enough good things about my experience. Daniel was UH-MAZING!

Exceptionally polite & friendly staff. Excellent massage. Therapist very attentive. Price point very reasonable for Oxnard.

The service was as requested and punctual. However, the pressure of the massage and the massage itself was average at best for what I paid. They were kind and professional but since I was getting a deep tissue massage, I was expecting that. I was also hoping for a full spa with amenities but none. They didn't have anything but a small room. I just don't think it was worth the money. read more

My wife and I each had the Euphoria massage. It truly was euphoric!! You get everything- hot stone massage, scalp treatment, dry brushing, foot scrub and massage. David was my masseuse and I can't recommend him enough! The spa its self is super clean and had a relaxed, beachy vibe. I'll be booking treatments here anytime I return to SB! read more

Kelsie gave me an amazing, relaxing massage! I will definitely go back! Highly recommend!

We went here for a couples massage and my partner and I agreed it was nowhere worth the $400 for the 120 min massage. We got deep tissue massages but it felt like we had two amateur masseusses rubbing their knuckles against our bodies the entire time. I'm used to masseuses massaging out knots and really being in tune with my body and how to heal it. My fiancée and I both walked away neither feeling healed or more relaxed. Waste of money and time. There are much better spas out there. They were nice though. read more
