If you're looking for a couples massage in Santa Barbara, CA, Zen Massage is the perfect place! When I called to check availability, Linda was friendly and helpful over the phone... scheduling our couples massage was easy. Upon arriving, the ambiance was calming, peaceful and quiet. Jennifer and Tina did an amazing job! My husband even said it was the best massage he's ever had, which says a lot! We both left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Also, the price was excellent! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful couples massage experience. Thank you so much for such a great experience. read more

My back is full of knots and although I sometimes dread a massage, I know need to get one. Zen massage definitely does the trick and Eva gets in there!!! She doesn't hold back! This place is very peaceful, clean and comfortable. The price is $80 for 1 hour which is reasonable compared to other places in town. This is my go to place and I should go more frequently so the knots don't get so bad! I do appreciate that they are so accommodating with scheduling because I usually go in late evening so I can go home directly afterwards. read more

Massage was wonderful. Hurt like crazy...but I'm sooo relaxed. We always stop at zen whenever we're in town.

Zen is our go-to massage place. The therapists are all excellent. The environment is always clean and fresh smelling. We get great massages at very reasonable rates. Nowhere better in town. read more

Visiting SB for our anniversary and we booked a massage here and so glad we did! We had an amazing foot massage and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. My husband even fell asleep during his massage. We feel brand new after visiting. Highly recommend! read more

Best massage I've had in SB ! Great prices too. They actually massaged and gave a deep tissue pressure that got all my knots out! I'll definitely be going back read more

Came as a walk in and got helped immediately. Front girl/masseuse was very friendly. However, massage was prob one of the worst I've gotten lol. It was actually impressive the amount of tensions spots missed. Asked for no oil, got completely covered in oil. Masseuse seemed like she barely knew what she was doing. You know when it just feels like rubbing on skin? Thats exactly what about half the massage felt like. After spending 20 min in the bathroom rubbing oil off my body, I somehow left with more knots than I came with. Shame because the space is so beautiful and nice, as well as staff. Staff just need better training. read more

This was my first massage in quite some time, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable and at ease. The massage itself was incredibly relaxing--I left feeling refreshed and carried that sense of calm well into the next day. The massage therapists were kind and professional, and the room was clean and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for unwinding. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Very friendly and clean facility. Linda is great to talk with and is so helpful. Mary my therapist is kind, professional, engaging, and very skilled! Very reasonable pricing too. read more

Pictures don't do this place Justice. It's quaint, clean and quiet massage place. I call ahead day of to make a reservation. I usually do the 60 minute full body massage with any available masseuse. Ambient music is light and relaxing. Make sure you communicate the firmness of the massage you need, and let them know if you have any injuries or sensitivities. Major plus - parking lot is free and there is always has space. They also take Venmo in addition to cash and card. I really enjoy this spot. Will definitely return! read more

Amazing "Fire" massage!!! The therapist was fantastic, she checked in and made sure the pressure was just right. When she noticed a problem spot, she worked on it a little extra! And the stones... chefs kiss!!! read more

You're a wee down in the dumps. Melancholy. Life seems dull and so does your skin. Your bathroom mirror no longer says you're the fairest of them all. Take heart! ZenSpa is here to help. Owner and operator, Audrey, is a wonder - maybe even a bit of a white witch. She will work her magic on your skin with a selection of skin treatments that will rescue your mood and your skin from the doldrums. I signed up for an eyebrow shaping and dermaplaning. In addition to this, Audrey rubbed essential oils on my arms, hands, and chest. She placed my hands into warm mitts and set me under blue lights to gently bake. Glorious! And the best part? My mirror is speaking sweetly to me again. Thank you, ZenSpa! Thank you, Audrey! read more

My mom and I came here to get massages and this was by far the best massage I've ever received in my life. It felt absolutely amazing. I almost fell asleep. The rooms are such a cozy, clean atmosphere and the ladies. They do such an amazing job at meeting your expectations and pressure levels. I definitely would recommend to anyone after a long day of work. This is the place to go. read more

This place is great! Very clean, relaxing, and they were able to book a next-day appointment. Many other places I've asked for "deep pressure" and have either had to keep asking to increase the pressure throughout the session or resigned myself to a meh massage. My experience today was different! My masseuse, Vivi, was so strong (I love this!) and checked in on how I was doing at the perfect times throughout the session. Not too many to disrupt my zoning out, but enough to make sure I was happy. I'll definitely be back soon, my neck and shoulders are thanking Vivi, Zen, and my friend Jen for recommending I try it out! read more

Zen Massage Place - Enjoy the ride - Massage Therapy Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

My husband and I stayed in Santa Barbara for the weekend & decided we wanted to get massages to relax. We got a couples massage and had a great experience. I've been to Burke Williams, Den Mother, Ritz Carlton, etc. & they do not target the areas Zen does. This is probably my best massage I've had. Lastly, my husband is a contractor, on his feet all day and has a challenging time finding relief. He hesitates massages because the results typically do not alleviate his pain. However, he experience so much relief and was happy with the result. Highly recommend for individuals looking for relief! read more

All the ladies were great. We were visiting the area on a baby moon and Went for a couples massage. They took us within an hour of us calling in for an appointment and have excellent service and prices! I loved every moment and they are very attentive to your needs and making sure you are comfortable and get a quality massage! Will definitely return if we come back to SB! Highly recommend. read more

Zen used to be my favorite place for a massage but it has really changed. Prices keep creeping up, it's harder to make appointments, they keep you waiting, cancel appointments last minute, sessions start late and end early but prices stay the same, masseuse will step out of the room for 10 or 15 minutes and you wonder if she'll come back. They don't seem so interested in providing good service but demand large tips. Staff chatter away with each other and yell back and forth across the shop which makes it hard to relax. They've gotten so cheap you can barely get a sip of water at the end of a session. The worst change for me is how the place e no longer sleeps clean or kept-up. The shop smells funky and I get an odd feeling they aren't washing towels and stuff between clients. When I left I felt dirty and couldn't wait to get home and shower. I've been a really loyal customer too but that seens to not make any difference. Don't think I'll be going back. read more

Anna fixed me! I had been walking all hunched over for almost 2 weeks. With a 60 min hands on, I am reborn. Top notch

Yes, they were very professional, I felt very comfortable and I fell asleep, it was wonderful

(Couples massage). Okay so overall this massage place was decent! The massages were okay, felt very rushed and was majority rubbing instead of massaging. The room was clean and I liked how they did not charge extra for hot stones. The problem was more toward the end of our service when we were paying and the lady at the front said, "you just pay and leave tip". I assumed that tip was optional (we were obviously going to anyway) but we paid in cash and she looked at us and said, "that's it?" And then proceeded to look at us as if she didn't want us there anymore. This exchange made us extremely uncomfortable. Even more, we stood there while they spoke in a different language for five minutes holding the cash and then dismissed us. read more

A friend recommended this place to me for massages and I've gone several times now. The first time I went I got a Swedish massage but the massage tables aren't the most comfortable for me personally however the masseuse was very good. I have since gone many times for their reflexology massages that are amazing. They're always able to fit me in for either a 60 or 90 massage and they are always so worth it. I feel extremely relaxed once I leave. Highly recommend this Massage location. read more

Mary just gave me a 60 minute reflexology foot massage. It was wonderful. I arrived at noon as a walk in, and she took me right away. She asked me if I wanted medium or hard pressure, which I appreciated, since not many therapists ask before a foot massage. The foot massage was so relaxing. She also worked on my back and eliminated some knots that I had. I will definitely return. read more

Been here a couple times. Will def come back when I'm in town again. They know just how to get the knots out. Always leave the place feeling more relaxed. read more

Omg they are amazing! Clean, quiet, relaxing, and the price is right.. loved every minute of my massage!

They took me in as a last minute appt, open late which was cool, but that's kind of where it ends. I've been to a few AMPs, they can be very hit or miss, this wasn't bad, wasnt great. It was ok. No music played. The neck and leg massage was great but the bulk of the massage was the back and there was no technique to get knots out. It was just aggressive rubbing like when you ask your husband for a massage and he doesn't want to. I think it was probably just a really long day and i think she was tired. I'm going to try to find a place tomorrow that can work out these kinks i have. Also, i tried to leave a $6 tip cause it wasnt a great massage but she did try but the tip isn't "appreciated ", the tip is mandatory $20. So a 90min massage is not 80, it's 101, which you can get a real trained masseuse for at a wellness center. All in all, pricey for what you get. read more

It was my husbands birthday so I booked a couples massage here after a few other locations had no availability. Located on the corner, this place had pretty easy parking. Upon arrival they all seemed to be rushing around in chaos. I probably should've left then..... So these double doors open and this man comes out still buttoning his damn clothes.....which happens to be the couples room. The therapist flip the room and invite us in. The room was very dewy and was nothing special. Even if you added roses and champagne this room and it's placement logistically was very misleading from the yelp photos. Massage began about 2-3 minutes behind each other. Both of our pressure was " so so "even with communication to her. Very underwhelming!!!! Experience did not match the better experiences read. Especially disappointing for someone's birthday! read more

Highly Recommend! I came here on Mother's Day to surprise my mom with a foot massage and she loved it! It was really like a full body massage seating up. They started out massaging the arms while your feet soak in hot water. Then they massage your feet and arms then they turn you around and have you sit on the ottoman and they massage your shoulders and back. It's like a mini full body massage sitting. I felt totally refreshed and renewed afterwards and so did my mom! So happy we found this little gem! The ambiance is nice they play soothing relaxing music as well in the background. read more

Called weeks in advance to book massages for a bachelorette party and was so happy when they could accommodate us since a lot of places have limited capacity due to covid. I called the day before to confirm and even called the day of to confirm again. We arrived early for our 2pm reservation and they kept us waiting until well after 2pm. At 2:20pm I receive a call from them (weird since I was sitting inside) saying they are running late. At this point we needed to cancel because we had other things planned and were not expecting to be starting our massage so much later than scheduled. Very disappointed. They even took someone in who arrived later than us (and after 2pm!) who also had a 2pm reservation claiming it was because she was only one person and we were a group. What is the point of a reservation then?! read more

Just left here, and it was definitely the best foot massage I've ever received! Working in the medical field being on my feet all day and being a roller skater, my feet ache constantly. Been getting massages for decades! I have discovered that when traveling, trying new Massage places is HIT AND MISS! Visited Zen with my wife, based purely on their reviews. Happy to say that this experience was really REALLY good!! Rarely am I satisfied with foot massages. But I must say this was wonderful! My therapist TIFFANY was completely in tune with foot effleurage pressure and technique! My wife was equally pleased with her therapist Cindy! The facility is also very clean and quiet (rarely seen in many of these places). We left Zen feeling rejuvenated and very happy! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

I came in June 2020 during their recent reopening for Covid-19. They are currently accepting clients with chronic pain, but not yet open to the public. I came for shoulder pain, and the lady masseuse was able to give me a great massage with the perfect intensity. There was a slight language barrier since the workers speak limited English, but I still got a great and relaxing massage regardless. Their prices are very reasonable too! read more

I would like to start by saying I don't think the massager intended to be inappropriate in the way she was. I believe the lack of training is to be blamed for most of what happened. My partner was the one who went to visit this business, because they have had many physical problems over the years. They read reviews and gave it a try. The outstanding reviews for this business do not hold up. I could not be more disappointed in a so called "professional message"--This place is highly unprofessional and inexperienced in messaging clients. Their lack of communication skills left my partner fleeing the building before the message was over because the woman began inappropriately reaching too close to their most private area. My partner was so uncomfortable they were embarrassed and confused. A therapist should always check in with there client to make sure they consent to such a "deep" tissue massage. My partner had spoke to me immediately afterward very upset and they honestly wanted to forget all about it. I how ever feel others should know, and from reading other low reviews it seems to happen often. Beware of zen!!! read more

AMAZING! I found them through SB Axxess and was able to book a massage just a few hours in advance, and online! I went in unable to move my neck in any regards. My masseuse, I believe her name was Mia, was phenomenal. By the time I left, I was able to rotate my neck a few inches in every direction (trust me, this was huge!). In the process of adjusting my neck, she actually worked out some major kinks in my neck/shoulder area that were causing extreme carpal tunnel like symptoms. What I really loved about this place was the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the friendliest smile and the host immediately knew I couldn't move my neck. She told me the shiatsu/deep tissue would be best for my symptoms and suggested I end it with hot stones. It was awesome that they allowed me to personalize my massage. I will definitely be back. read more
