These chicken sandwiches are DELICIOUS. Nashville Hot Chicken was not really that spicy, but the price structure makes you pay significantly more for each additional tier of spiciness. I would recommend the double spicy for a decent kick. The chicken was super crispy, which I loved. There were a lot of nice craggles on it. The buns were buttered and rich. Their slaw is really good. Their fries are also really crispy. Why did I give it a 4 instead of a 5? Price. The fries cost $5.50 for what looks like a medium at any fast food restaurant. The sandwiches are all $11 or more. The food is so tasty, but it's really pushing the boundary of what I'd be willing to pay. The sandwich really isn't that filling. read more

Flip the Bird is one of my favorite chicken spots- particularly because it is local and the food is great. I often make the mistake of ordering their spiciest variant of the chicken sandwich: the Cry Bird, and every time my body regrets it and I nearly cry, ending with a satisfied stomach ache. This may sound bad, but this sandwich tastes amazing and they're even so kind to include a pair of latex gloves for "handling" this sandwich which always seems to give me a run for my money despite being a piece of food (don't rub your eyes barehanded after eating this). While the food is good, how about the space and the staff? The Woburn location is relatively new. I noticed it one day and was ecstatic that I no longer had to go to the North Shore for this prime chicken joint. The inside is clean as I have seen and very much "feels" like a chicken place. I don't recall if there was much for decor on the walls, but they do surprisingly have merch! Another great way to support the business. The staff have always been nice to me, however, sometimes there has been a slight hiccup when ordering because a staff member was not clear or needed assistance. No issue with this, nobody is perfect, and it never hindered my experience here. Maybe just a slight nudge to ensure they are all clear on what to do is all, but otherwise I am always thoroughly happy with the food here. read more

Ribs were a sleeper hit, honey butter with biscuits is a must, especially if you like Texas Roadhouse. Overall you can taste the difference in clean fresh ingredients and fresh oil compared to other fried foods that get overly saturated and heavy. read more

I've stopped in three times now, and service has always been pretty good. Also worth mentioning is the restaurant is always really clean! Their food is average, better than the drive thru places....but nothing really makes me crave or go out of my way to go here. Also it's 20+ bucks for a sandwich, fries, and a fountain drink...I don't personally see value here when there are better places within walking distance that serve as good (maybe better) offerings at far less prices. read more

Not refrigerated cold, but barely warm, like they had been sitting out on the counter for 30 minutes. And the chicken in the sandwich, while tasty, was definitely on the thin side. BEST chicken sandwich I've ever eaten, but in New England!?! Yup! This place is an authentic little gem. I kept it simple and ordered the Nashville Hot. It delivered! The flavor profiles were spot on. I don't like when a chicken sandwich joint serves low quality chicken and slathers on the sauce to mask it's lack of flavor and quality. This is definitely not the case here. The chicken is tender, tasty, and not overly breaded. The sauce was the perfect amount and combined nicely with the "chow-chow" coleslaw style topping. The fries were thick and crispy, reminiscent of an old southern style burger and sandwich joint. The truffle ketchup sauce is my jam! We even ordered the Angry Fries and the flavors are a treat to the taste buds. The Angry Fries are a meal in themselves. Friendly staff as well. Went late Saturday afternoon, and it tasted like all the food had been made that morning and was just awaiting a reheat. Biscuits were reminiscent of KFC, lacking butter and flavor. Chicken was warm, but lacked flavor outside of the breading. Bad naked chicken was bad, and dry. Nothing was hot, except the fries. 10 minutes after eating, I couldn't even remember I ate it. I love Flip the Bird. It's my favorite chicken sandwich in the area. Great flavors. And those biscuits with honey butter are the best biscuit I've had in the area. The cry bird is impossible to finish unless you're truly immune to spice, they serve the sandwich with gloves for Pete's sake, the angry bird is plenty hot. First I have tried here today and thought it was delicious.... Nashville hot was very underwhelming I was expecting at least twice the heat but very good anyhow. Fries were impressive, they stayed crispy throughout the time of being eaten. Chocolate shake was a chocolate shake.... Nothing special compared to other shakes I've had. Now the complaints: 15 minutes to make me a shake.... The shake was nearly gone by the time my food came out 10 mins after that. There were only 3 kids in there drinking shakes not waiting for food, what was the hold up? I will return to give it another whirl but that sandwich, shake n fries for 32$ hurts. First and foremost, the service was bad. There was a guy making horribly inappropriate comments to a young girl, who made it clear that she did not not want to hearing that kind of stuff out of his mouth. Secondly, they were so distracted that they really didn't inform me the person purchasing thing of anything about any of the food.. The chicken sandwich was good. I asked for a family size fry with sauce on the side and when I checked it, the fries were covered in a spicy bayou sauce, making it unsuitable for the whole family.. So $55 later I had a generally unpleasant experience. But hey Mr. inappropriate is making $15 so that's good. read more

Not good. The bun was way too big for the size of chicken and did not hold up. The sandwich itself was dripping in some sort of grease /water mixture. The coleslaw had absolutely zero seasoning (please a pinch of salt, sugar and/or vinegar will do wonders). They were out of large biscuits and the tiny ones we got instead were like hockey pucks. There are so many good fried chicken offerings now at new and established restaurants. I can't see this place lasting long. read more

My oh my was the food here very good by there is one major issue I experience whenever I attend this establishment. The food here is beyond expensive! I ordered a Chicken sandwich (cannot remember the name) and a side of fries. What was my total you may ask? It was $20 for a chicken sandwich and fries. I could go to mcdonald's and get the same meal for less than $10. I was also interested in purchasing a milkshake so I asked and the price of 1 milkshake came out to a whopping $11. I can go to dunkin and get the same thing for $4. This place is good if you're above the average american and can spare money but I would not ever recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick bite to eat.
