This is a small town but they have big kudos from me on their service. I stopped here on a Sunny Saturday, they have multiple Televisions of college football on. Prices are reasonable, food is fast and tasty. I want to come back tomorrow. I got a burger meal, my party also had a burrito, wings and I even regret not getting the empanadas. I tried a 16 inch sourdough pizza a few days ago when passing through. Flint River grill is 19 miles from my home but it is my new go to pizza place. This was one of the absolute best pizzas we have had anywhere. They are not afraid to put a generous helping of cheese and toppings so don't be shy about asking for your favorite toppings. I am a regular at the produce stand across from the Flint Grill and today as luck would have it my weekly trip for fresh fruit and vegetables took place at lunchtime. I remembered the Flint Grill from seeing it every week for the past six months and was wanting a burger so I looked online and found their cool and cute website recommending call in lunch. I love the website! We planned to get take-out and have a picnic. I attempted to call but first got a recorded message saying to leave my name and number but the voicemail box was full so I could not. After repeated calls I got through when my GPS said I was 15 minutes away. I started trying when I was about 50 minutes out. I assumed they must be super busy. I attempted to place my order but could barely hear the person on the other end. I gave the order based on the website menu in case she could hear me and explained my problem hearing her and for a short time she seemed to yell and I could make out that my only choice for salad dressing was ranch or balsamic vinegar, but then she was distant again and Icould not understand her. I just finally said if you heard my order know I will be there in 15 minutes and if not I will be prepared to give it again and just wait. I went inside where an older woman and a young girl who appeared to be in training were behind the counter. A couple was ahead of us. One other couple was seated outside but that was it. I explained that I had called ahead and was not sure if my order had been heard and she seemed to dismiss what I said, said bless your heart, then what do you want? I gave my order again--two angus burgers, one with cheese, one without, both with all the trimmings with nothing else and a big garden salad. The older woman punched the screen and said back "two burgers with cheese right?" I said "no, one with cheese and one without, but if you have to start over I will just take cheese on both." She seemed frustrated with the punch screen but appeared to start over and asked if I wanted them plain or with rabbit food-- I assumed that meant lettuce and tomato so I said yes, all the trimmings on both, but just the burgers. She then asked me what meat I wanted on the salad. I told her I did not know it came with meat. The online menu and sign in the store does not mention meat. She said it does, do you want chicken, beef or barbecue and so I said barbecue. When she called me to get my food she gave me 3 cups. I said I did not order drinks and there were two of us and she said it comes with drinks. The website and sign indicate that you can just get the burgers and the big garden salad without a drink for a lower price and I had drinks in the car. I had said twice that I just wanted the burgers. I returned one cup to her and took two as there were two of us. Our plan was to have two burgers and share the salad rather than ordering two side salads but I had not known meat was on the big garden salad. I had already paid her at this point. My bill was $31 but when I gave her cash she said I got a discount for paying in cash, the change from which I put in tip jar. It was the most confusing treatment I think I have ever encountered. She basically decided what I was going to order, seemed hurried and annoyed. Despite my saying multiple times that I wanted just burgers she gave me burgers (both had cheese) with fries and drinks and I was upcharged to add meat to the salad when I looked at my receipt. I did not know I had fries until we got to our picnic spot and opened the containers. That is also when I examined the receipt. The burgers were very greasy with American Velveeta type cheese slices and what she called rabbit food was the best part of the burger--lots of pickles--they were ok but we both agreed we would not order a burger there again. The salad, however, was very good with a variety of crisp lettuces, red cabbage, green chopped bell pepper, two slivers of tomato, green olives, carrot shreds and boiled eggs. The pulled pork on it that was referenced as barbecue had no sauce and was just pulled pork. None of the staff we saw wore masks, none of the patrons other than us were wearing them either. The reason I drive a distance to the nearby produce stand is because they rope it off for social distancing and follow safety protocols. The website had a welcoming country cool vibe, but it did not match the experience at the actual restaurant. I was very disappointed all around. Next time if I arrive at lunch and am hungry I will go across the street to the Ingles deli counter before returning here. I don't usually write reviews after only making a single visit to a place, so please read this one knowing it is based on one trip. I hope if you give them a try that your experience is better. read more

We live in Brooks but heard the flint grill commercial on 92.5 radio and the guy on the commercial sounded so excited about flint grill that we just had to try it. No regrets. What a cute fun place to eat. Everything we ordered was really tasty. Fried pickles, burgers, wings, cheese sticks, pork sandwich ... all were excellent. The staff was very nice and seemed very genuine. The didn't care that we had special requests. The restaurant was very clean, warm and cozy. We wish they were closer to home but driving to Woodbury gives us an excuse to put down our phones and spend time talking during the drive. We will absolutely go back soon and we will tell all of out friends to check it out. read more

Stopped in this morning to get biscuits for some co-workers which consisted of 5 biscuits. The price came out to just under $20 which I thought was a bit high but figured what the heck. If you're expecting what I call a more traditional southern biscuit, nice and brown outside and moist and fluffy inside, you'll be disappointed. These were very doughy and even tasted like undercooked dough. The sausage and the chicken were pretty good but the biscuits I couldn't eat again. All 5 of us thought the same thing, undercooked dough and just a very odd looking biscuit. read more
