This place was recommended to me and I would absolutely return. I got the chicken, mild beef, and guava and cream cheese empanadas. The mild red and green sauce were great, and the halved avocado added the perfect bite of freshness to balance out the meal. I also had the healthy fruit water which was tasty. The chicken empanada was my favorite, only because the guava is in a separate, yummy dessert category! :) We came in at a very busy lunchtime but the food was served so fast. Plenty of room for seating even being busy. Nice staff. I have zero complaints and would love to eat here again! read more

The ATW and peach are my favorites! I also appreciate the wonderful staff and nearby ev charging!

Great menu. Great service. Amazing food, always a stop when in Warner Robins to support a locally owned restaurant that really has pride in their food and service. Can be a little slow at peak hours, but worth the time. read more

OMG this place was wonderful full of life the customer service was spectacular soon as you enter the doors. Destiny with her beautiful smile greeted my wife and I. The Dining room was very spacious and full of Panama decor that takes you on a journey with the delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back with more family and friends!!! Rikki and Team keep up the incredible atmosphere you all have created here. read more

Visited here for lunch for the first time, and I really liked the friendly service and atmosphere. They were prepared for the lunch rush and our food came out so fast, in minutes... it was fresh hot and delicious. I liked the spicy beef, and hot sauce. For the side, I chose the stuffed avocado and I could have eaten 3 of these:) Enjoyed the food and will definitely become a repeat customer! read more

Only ate there once. I could easily get addicted to their empanadas. Going there tomorrow for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter. Can't wait. read more

A great little place to grab lunch. The service is fast even during the lunch rush. They are well staffed and have a pretty large space. Getting a table for a larger party is hard to come by during lunch, but tables vacate quickly enough that we could have lunch in smaller groups of 4. The dishes were unexpected but good. Serving sizes are ample and the customer service was excellent. read more

This place is always good and always busy. I wish they stayed open longer than they do but it certainly helps increase demand. If you haven't tried them yet, go see them as quickly as possible. read more

Came at a busy time. Lunch. Noisy but clean and friendly. Food is good and reasonably priced. Worthy of a visit

I went to Grammys empanadas and they were excellent, the very Best for lunch, next time in Warner Robins, i be heading to see grandma's!

I've been here a few times. The service is always great and the food comes quick. Consistent quality and a good variety of empanadas. It's great for lunch and they've expanded their hours so now you can enjoy on weekends although the hours are still limited. I recommend! read more

What a great place! Food was EXCELLENT, service on point. Interior was nice- we arent bringing a date to a candlelight dinner. It's a typical luncheonette. Best empanadas I have had since the Puerto Rican restaurant closed in my hometown. read more

Amazing lunch spot near the base. The empanadas are really yummy but don't stop there. You gotta try the stuffed avocado and chicken & rice soup. The soup is off the chain!!! I always go for lunch and bring home a bunch of food for dinner to feed the family. - Big Daddy read more

We were looking for a lunch option after visiting the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins. Found "My Grandma's Empanadas" was close by and opened due to testing extended hours on Fridays. As we like to support local when we travel, we went here. All of the employees were very kind and helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner's daughter and she was a delight. The food was very good as we tried 4 different empanadas, our favorites were the spicier ones. The apple dessert empanada is a must. Portions are very good size and affordable. You can purchase empanadas individually ($3 each) or in combos that include a drink and a side which makes it an even better value. We shared a 4 empanada combo with the wedge salad with balsamic dressing, that was a great choice as it was delicious. In total, I would highly recommend this as your lunch choice when visiting the Aviation Museum or Robins AFB. Great people and fantastic food! read more

My Grandma's Empanadas - the outside of the restaurant - Empanadas Near Me - Warner Robins, Georgia

Had lunch with some coworkers here. Everything seemed promising from the amount of customers they had lined up. I ordered chicken, beef, and guava along with a side of their imported salsa. All tasted okay, but the guava was my favorite. The amount of filling compared to how they looked threw me off. Their dough seemed to be very thin which is how they plump up so big. Overall okay experience for me since nothing really stood out. read more

I'm a regular here and often bring new people to try this place but after today, I probably won't be going back much, if at all. I like supporting small local businesses but I was shocked at how rude the owner was to my friend who asked her a simple question. If the menu or rules changed then just say so, don't be nasty about it. Rather than saying "oh I'm sorry, my employees were not supposed to do that before or we don't do that anymore," the owner decided to say "well I've only been the owner here for 8 years and we've never done that" in a nasty tone. Wellll, obviously y'all have because I go often with my friend and she always gets extra stuffing in her avocado and we've been coming here for years so that's not the customer's fault if your employees were doing something incorrectly. Do not blame and be nasty to the paying customers! read more

Such a nice surprise for me. Came here on lunch from Robins AFB. We came at the perfect time, soon after the line was almost out the door and I can see why. Customer service was superb, they were quick and super helpful as it was our first time here. I ordered the 3 empanada combo with drink and side. The chicken, beef, and apple were AMAZING. Nice and crispy on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside. I will definitely be back. I loved the touch of local pictures and that home style feel. I'm assuming "grandma" was the one we saw behind the bar area actually hand making these empanadas. I only knocked it down a star because I wish they were open longer than just lunch since they are so busy. read more

I did it. I fell for their 4.5 star rating. If you're looking for a traditional Spanish empanada, this is not the place for it. Very much lacking the Spanish sabor. I ordered a spicy beef empanada for a whopping $3 each and let me tell you, I ate halfway through it before I even got to the filling. The "spice" gives off a strong vinegar/tabasco type flavor so if you're into that, you'll love it. Want salsa with your empanada? They charge 50 cents for a small 1oz container of habanero salsa so multiple containers sure add up (see pic for what looked (and tasted) more like a spicy apple cider vinegar than a salsa.) One thing I love about their restaurant is the fact that their meat and produce are locally sourced. I love that they support local farmers and the local economy. read more

My friend Lynn knew the lovely young woman who owns this great spot. We went to lunch there and when I say spectacular I mean it.customer service is awesome but not to be outshined by the quality and tasteful food. I am a vegetarian and I had the bean empanada and I forget the name the other was a veggie one with feta the side was a half of an avocado withsome beans and tomatoes ontop. Did I mention how fast and efficient the service was??? Go if you get a chance ..you may see me there as I plan on this being a regular spot for me. read more

Based on the people I was with and the bite I had, the empanadas are decent. The servers were very friendly! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the decision from the owner to not replace the empanada I had that contained only one apple slice and barely any sauce. She told me all of their empanadas were based on weight. Even after I squeezed out the inside of the empanadas to illustrate the lack of filling she just shrugged her shoulders. I would not come back here. read more

My Grandma's Empanadas - Apple Empanada - Empanadas Near Me - Warner Robins, Georgia

Empanada'ly Delicious! Great Food and Service! Spicy Beef, Chicken, Apple and Blue Berry cream cheese with Stuffed Avocado!

Absolutely awesome homemade empanadas. They cannot be beat and their daily special empanadas are usually made from from local farm products.

First time in the area, absolutely loved this place being my first spot to visit. The people working here were so kind and enthusiastic! Beef empanada, spicy, absolute fire Had the chicken second, still with a wonderful crispy shell but the chicken wasn't anything to write home about. Also had the breakfast one...forgot what it was called it had chorizo and egg. Great for a breakfast fix. I usually make a review on my second visits, but I already know I'm going back to finish out the menu! Definitely get some of their hot sauces, delicious read more

I love this place!!!! Me and my coworkers go during lunch for the ATW empanadas (all the way). For ~12 bucks I got 2 empanadas a stuffed avocado and a drink. Pro tip: Ask the lady at checkout for the imported spicy salsa. It's a spiced, sweet and tangy salsa that pairs well with every bite. $.50 for a cup, totes worth it. read more

Visiting some friends in Perry, they recommended this place after hearing friends and neighbors raving about the empanadas from their food truck. Trusting their judgement, we drove to the restaurant for the unique offerings. I did not know how may ways empanadas could be made, but this place enlightened me to the sweet and savory options possible. Even though I was intrigued by the sweet empanadas, I decided to play it safe with one beef and one chicken empanada as part of the 2 empanada combo. This is a great deal, with a choice of unique side and drink; I went with the stuffed avocado and was happy I did. As a bonus, this meal sat well as we went to play golf in the heat immediately afterwards. If you're near the Air Force base and hungry around lunchtime, give this place a try. It is a great gem of a restaurant and what I would love to eat again if I get the chance during my next visit. read more

My Grandma's Empanadas - Stuffed avocado as side - Empanadas Near Me - Warner Robins, Georgia

Definitely a fan! Came to WR to visit my parents and saw this place had such good reviews that we had to check it out. They were sadly out of the sampler platter so I did the pick 3 with a side. I had spicy beef, goat, and bean empanadas with the rice. My husband had the mild beef and marketfresh with the plantain chips. My brother got a spicy chicken, spicy beef, and an ATW (chorizo) with the stuffed avocado. And my mom got the soup and a wedge salad. It was all EXCELLENT! I really enjoyed all of mine, the goat tasted like a cross between shredded pork and beef. The spicy beef was not too spicy and the bean also included salsa like stuffing. My hubs said he wished he would have gotten a pork one and felt that the marketfresh needed more feta. My brother's favorite was the ATW. Everyone working was really friendly and definitely working hard. I can't wait to go back so we can try more items! read more

I'm not sure why I haven't given this a 5/5 star rating yet! This place is INCREDIBLE! This one of a kind restaurant is delicious and super quick. They have a wide variety of types of empanadas you can choose and don't you DARE forget to order the Stuffed Avocado -- omg, that's the best thing I've ever eaten! They locally source all of their ingredients and they are small business in a land of chain restaurants and REALLY set themselves apart. I would eat lunch there every week if I could! Would recommend to anyone! read more

I've been hoping to try this place for a few weeks now, but just hadn't found the time to get over there. Chief and I made a run for lunch today and it was FANTASTIC!! The food was fresh and excellently prepared, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I had more empanadas than I should have, but I don't even regret it! Today's special was the ATW (chorizo, bacon, egg & cheese) and it was delicious, especially with a bit of the Panamanian hot sauce. I will definitely be back and I will share with as many people as I can! Thank you! read more

"Thank you for choosing us. We you know you could've gone anywhere else." These were the words I was first greeted by! And honestly I want to thank them for some of the most delicious empanadas I've ever had (especially the dessert guava-berry n' cream one). This place had such a comforting ambiance with local paintings and graffiti wall art despite it being a hole in the wall in front of the Warner Robins Air base! The food came out super quickly, I'd say even quicker than Jimmy Johns. It was warm and fresh! My favorite was definitely the beef empanada where they had the option of either a mild or spicy (I went with the mild). It had a good kick to it that made you want more (and the prices we're affordable between $2-3) And the customer service was just the cherry on top! I'd definitely come back here again for such a welcoming experience with such enjoyable empanadas! read more

Absolutely recommend. Great food, fast service and friendly staff. Definitely a must.

They were okay. My dad brought hone about 12-14. Had beef, chicken and pork. Very different from the empanadas I had in Puerto Rico which I was obsessed with. These were not filled completely. The ones we had were filled at about half way. The first bite or two was hollow with just crust. I ate 4 and I wasn't full. The flavor was okay too. They all tasted very similar and didn't really have a unique flavor to them. read more

This restaurant fries empanadas in advance and leaves them in a warmer until ordered. So the empanadas do not necessarily always taste fresh. Sometimes they taste like they've been warmed. In past visits, I have also heard the restaurant owner belittle, yell, argue, and mistreat employees. Aside from this, Rikki Waite, the restaurant's owner, openly supports Trump on Facebook. Think about how this is a restaurant founded on another country's food and culture, with family members being immigrants, yet makes public statements. All for people having their own opinions, but it comes off weird and embarrassing when the restaurant is founded on a latino culture. She has since deleted a Facebook comment telling someone to leave the country if they are unhappy... again, weird for someone who's family left their country.... contributing to her freedom for Rikki as a latina woman to own her own restaurant read more

Locally owned restaurant selling local fresh home grown food for lunch. Everything is made fresh daily with daily specials. The place is clean and comfy. The owner and employees are nice and friendly. There is something for everyone on this menu. You definitely want to go early or risk being out of items as this place is busy but it flows well. It is seat yourself service but they do bring your meal out to you by number when its ready. My day off consists of coming here to have lunch with my hunny off base and ordering a #3 with 3 spicy chicken empanadas, half an avocado and a Mexican coke. I add extra spice and there is plenty of different hot sauces to choose from for that extra spicy flavor. The portion is small for the price but local and fresh can cost. The best deal is the half avocado with the combo. This place is satisfying without being overfilling. FYI : This is american cuisine with influence from Panama heritage. This is not typical hispanic food for those that are expecting a fritura. This is not our grandma's cooking. It is a healthy yet still flavorful alternative. read more
