I've first moved to Mason in 1975 and have just finally made my way into this great fabric shop…read more Jeanean's shop has been a staple of downtown Mason for decades! Sadly, it was the Corona virus and my need for fabric to make masks ( to donate ) which finally introduced me to this sweet lady and her successful shop. The place is wall to wall with quality quilting grade fabrics and associated trims and products. She is so helpful and energetic. The ladies shopping seemed very engaged and interactive with her and finding lots in her store as well. I found everything I needed for sure. Lots and lots of beautiful fabric. Highly recommend this hometown favorite.

Close to the main intersection in beautiful downtown Mason, MI. Visit Kean's, and then come to this…read moreplace for more craft supplies. Nice fabrics, patterns & books, The store samples give you great ideas in case you didn't arrive with any of your own. There were some hexagonal table runner & candle mat sets hanging on one wall. (See my photos.) Fabric from Moda and other high-quality manufacturers. Fat quarter bundles are made up and ready to grab for projects. They come with free quilt patterns put together by the store. The really special thing about this store is all the ribbon and trim. There are hair bows already made up and for sale, or you can buy some of the ribbons and make your own. Bring your little girl here and she'll pick out something beautiful to tie back her hair. Be sure to see my photos, and check out the little snap purses made from the Offray ombre ribbon roses. Precious!

First time in this store at this location. Monica is running all over the place helping people! She…read morewas extremely kind and helpful to everyone that passed by her, including myself. I was impressed with her and the cleanliness of the store. I will return.

If I could give zero stars I would!!!! Not even the first time I've had issues with this particular…read morelocation, but I ordered 4 skeins of big twist black yarn. My husband went to pick it up Curbside and only received 2. Not his fault, he didn't even know what he was picking up. So I called the location to see what happened. Their staff, specifically Cindy (I think was her name) are the rudest people I have ever spoken to. She says "that must've been all we had." I said, "no, online says you have over 40 in stock" she proceeds to tell me that just because the app says they are in stock doesn't mean they are out on the floor. 1. If I order something, give me the whole damn order, I don't care if you have to go in the back to pull more, because if you took the last 2 off the shelf, you need to restock anyways. 2. Her entire statement was a flat out lie! The 2 skeins I received came pre packaged in the shipping plastic it was probably given to them in by the distributor. You aren't going to tell me that came from the shelves. So where's the other half of my order? In the back, probably where she got the other pack. If I had to guess, I would say it is in a different box and they were just too lazy to open another. Will not be shopping there again. I don't care how convenient it for my husband is to get when he is leaving work.

I'm ashamed to say that up until recently, I hadn't shopped for fabric anywhere but Joanns. But…read morefinally, enough was enough, and as I commit to sewing more and delving into the world of quilting, I decided to source all my fabric from places other than Joanns, opting instead to explore the small fabric stores in my area, and what a great decision that was! I was able to discover so many new favorites, 2nd Street Quilt Shop being one of them, and source so many gorgeous, fresh & new designs I had never seen before! It has truly renewed my interest in sewing, and I'm truly excited to embark on this new quest in quilting! When I saw a store named "Ann Arbor Sewing & Quilting Center," I knew I had to visit! Their hours are a bit wonky, so I had to take off work a little bit early on a Friday to drive the hour out here just to make it in time to peruse, but I'm really glad I did so because holy guacamole this space is incredible! First of all, this building is huge, which as a default means it contains so many goodies inside that I wish I had had way more time on hand to properly explore, but that just means I'll have to come back again the next time I'm in Ann Arbor and the store is open! Second of all, I love the way the store is structured! There's so many levels to it, so many different sections depending on the type of tools or fabric. It was just a dream to walk through and my head was just swinging every which way trying to get the lay of the land everywhere! But finally, I entered the fabric section I was looking for and it felt like Christmas morning! Fabric as far as the eye could see! All color coordinated and also arranged by brand/fabric type groupings as well. I learned so much about different types of fabric that day and was just generally overwhelmed in the best way possible, I didn't even manage to take any photos! I just immediately set to work and started scanning all the fabrics and pulling out anything that caught my eye. I truly love it here and had the best experience! Because their space is so large too, they have more than one cutting table, which is something I hadn't found at any other fabric store I went to, which made this place feel even more legit. I'm jealous of everyone who lives in Ann Arbor and can stop by here on a whim easily! It's a trek for me, but definitely worth the trek, and I can't wait to come back soon! :)

Several associates offered assistance but I was just checking out their selection, they were very nice and personable. They had a large selection of machines available and a class going on. They don't have fabrics for other things besides quilting however, in my opinion at least. But they had beautiful quality.
