Before, during and after they are very easy to get ahold of as we navigate our new system. I can't say enough good things about them and the install and post install process. The product itself has been as advertised. Our pool is kind of tucked in-between trees and the house so it doesn't get much natural sunlight and there is no heating system. Even during a blazing summer the water itself never got all that warm. After install and during summer it added about 10-15 degrees of heat to the pool getting up to 89. It also added a couple months to the backend of summer. It wasn't as hot as summer but still comfortable and usable rather than ice cold. I haven't tested it pre summer but imagine that it will be the same and add a month or two on the early end. If you are looking for a complete year round heating option this may not be it as it is not quite that, but if you are looking to optimize your temperature this system and this company are solid. read more

Flex Solar recently added pool solar to the roof of my house. The process started when the owner Justin, came to my house and evaluated what we needed. He provided a VERY reasonable quote shortly thereafter, with drawings and specifications. On the day of installation, he arrived with a team and installed 7 panels quickly (in about 5 hours). Justin employs a top-quality install team that are highly skilled and professional. After the installation, he spent over an hour with me to make sure all my pump settings were set for the times and temperatures we wanted. He even cut our oversized pool cover to fit our pool! THAT is the kind of detail and FANTASTIC customer service you get from Flex. TOP. NOTCH. Service. Fast-forward a week after the installation: my pool is now regularly at 87° in APRIL, in the afternoon. Prior to the install, it was in the 70°s, at best (with a pool cover). I had Justin install a solar heating system for my pool in Jamul. He is extremely professional, offers top of the line products and the installation was done extremely clean. Their workmanship is excellent and he explained everything to me and set up my pool computer to run as efficiently as possible. I was impressed with the care Justin took with regard to my older tile roof. He pushed the install to later because the heat make the tiles more breakable. I got a referral from my pool service person. I got the estimate, Justin explained everything needed for installation. He helped us understand what kinds of modifications would be made to the existing equipment and the roof. We booked him and in a couple of days of install work, we had our working solar pool heating system. He explained how it all worked, and he noted that our roof was in good condition. He goes on a lot of roofs and knows generally when he's on a roof that needs replacement. We just happened to have people from roofing companies showing up at our door, telling us how we needed to replace the roof quickly. Justin was professional and everything was straightforward. A few years ago, we had some issues with our roof top pool solar heating, so our pool guy recommended that we contact Justin Sharp at Flex Solar. When I first started researching solar thermal heating for our pool last year I got several quotes and had a few companies come onsite to provide bids. Justin and Flex Solar had the best pricing by far and was the most responsive of all the companies I talked too. In fact, as part of my research I contacted quite a few pool service companies as well, and I had 3 of them all tell me that if I wanted solar thermal I should contact Justin and Flex Solar. This tells me he has an outstanding reputation in the industry already as he's held in such high regard by other pool companies in the area. In any event, the install took 2 days as he did the work by himself (would have been one day but his usual partner was not available to help out). But the work he did was very clean and best thing was that there is no leaks which was my biggest fear as we have a spray polyurethane foam (SOF) roof which is not very common and it seems like not many installers know how to work with it. In fact, another company I had talked to took forever to even get me their quote because he was taking so much time trying to find a roofing company that specializes in SPF roofs to work with them on the install. In the end, Justin did all the right research and used all the right precautions to make sure that the install would require the least amount of penetrations needed and sealed them up up tight and proper. Justin also guarantees and warranties all his work so I'm confident the install will not cause any issues and if there are any, he will make sure to take care of it. Justin also went out of his way to come back and paint the PVC piping that went up the side of our exterior side wall to match our recently painted home and also gave lots of great advice and made sure our variable speed pump was programmed to optimal levels and to take into account the required flow to maximize heat but keep energy usage low. On a personal level, Justin is just a great guy, who's super down to earth and easy going. I'm sure most people would have no problem working with Justin at a personal or professional level. Pool water temperature has constantly broken 80 degrees all last week and we're ecstatic to be able to swim so early in the season thanks to Justin and Flex Solar!
