I only had one appointment with this physician. Here's what happened: When I saw the doctor, I explained my symptoms to him, all what he said was, do this test and then I will see you afterwards! End of appointment. He never said anything about what the potential diagnosis might be nor did he ask any questions nor did he tell me what the treatment would be like in case I had a certain issue. I expected to have at least some discussion of my issue since it was a common one among men. On top of that, I had an issue with my high-premium insurance since the doctor's office staff weren't very clear about the potential cost of the small test I had done there, which, to my total surprise, was coded as "surgery". read more

Dr. Fleming is absolutely the best doctor on the peninsula for what he does; however, his staff office named Sarah, is the absolute worst! My grandmother called in trying to refill my grandfathers prescription, this staff Sarah was making my grandmother cry she was beyond rude! I couldn't believe my ears! I was over hearing this whole convo and I couldn't believe a doctors staff member would treat an elderly patient wirh such hate. How can you be in this profession and not know how to schedule a simple appt and help them with their needs. The old troll office manager has no manners and definitely not compassionate enough to work in any medical office. She is rude, mouthy and not helpful for anyone sick. They use Robo calls to confirm their appointments. However their Robo calls are not set up for the time they really want you to come in. My appointment was made over a month ago. Written on a card,that I like most people misplaced the card. Robo call said 9. I don't know about you but, this is a urologist, I'm not having some angry woman around me getting a camera put up my bladder. I arrived exactly at 9 AM as I was told and I was bitched out by the rude troll office manager. Telling me to have the catheter put up the without medication. I left. read more

Dr. Fleming has been my urologist for many years, and I must say, he is the best. Very professional, patient, understanding.

If I could rate 0-stars I would. The staff is RUDE...which after reading the other reviews I see is a reoccurring statement. No call reminders for appts, no cards to take home. You have to take care of yourself. I also don't appreciate having drugs given to me that are "new to the market" and being asked to see how I react to them when I don't even have a diagnoses yet. In June 2015 I underwent a procedure in Dr. Flemming's office for enlarged prostate. The procedure is called "cooled thermotherapy." This procedure is an alternative to medication or traditional surgery. I have found the results of this procedure to be excellent: urination has become easy again, and sexual performance remains strong relative to my age (74). There are no follow-up medications to take, and I have noticed no significant side effects following the procedure. Cooled thermotherapy is a relatively comfortable procedure, takes about half an hour, and is performed on an out-patient basis in the doctor's office. For me it replaced the medications I had been taking that had become ineffective, and obviated the need for surgery, which requires a hospital stay and may have significant side effects. I am very appreciative that Dr. Flemming made this option available to me. read more

About 3 weeks ago Dr Flemming remove a cancerous tumor from inside of bladder , thanks to his experience was a total success he use Laser technology so there was blood after the surgery , I'm so great full , he is extremely proffecional and kind . This MD has good bedside manner with his patients. HOWEVER.....his office staff are rude, impolite, impatient, arrogant, uneducated, unprofessional, defensive, and appear to have no medical background whatsoever. It's sad that Dr. Flemming is either unaware of this, turns a blind eye, or does not care. I've never met office staff who seemingly and purposefully obstruct the continuum of patient care. We tried to have records and reports sent to another MD who did a different procedure, of which Dr. Flemming didn't do, but told us about. The staff immediately started throwing up walls even after we signed medical release forms to send information. Once you've been told you've got cancer, then suddenly you're at the mercy of people who are more worried about being in control than assisting you receive care in a timely fashion. (I'm surprised someone has not already called the Medical Board of California with reports of similar issues at Dr. Flemming's office) Dr. Flemming......please, please, take control of your practice. Bring back a higher standard of patient care and professionalism. The people you've hired might be pleasurable to you but they're making a negative impact on your business and seriously offending your patients. You might be surprised to see that is a reflection on you. Until then, I would not refer your practice (at any of your offices) to anyone that asks for a Urologist. I took my 93 year old father in for a follow-up visit about his foley catheter following a stroke. We waited ONE hour for a 4-5 minute visit! The "doctor" did not even examine my father, his urine or his catheter. My dad is NOW in the HOSPITAL with a septic INFECTION which spread from his bladder into his blood stream. This horrid incident would have been avoided if the "doctor" had done his job. Also the staff didn't even offer to help me with the doors while I was wheeling Dad out of the office. read more

To all my fellow males with urinary troubles due to both urgency and poor flow: don't wait to see Dr. Flemming. All the saw palmetto in the world won't change the bladder and kidney damage that results from bph. Dr. Flemming is expert at conservatively and expertly treating this condition. In my case, I put up with bph problems for 3 years and tried all the herbal remedies. After running a flow test and doing a painless biopsy and ultrasound, we determined there was no cancer but there was extreme urinary constriction. So I had Dr Flemming do a green light laser procedure to correct it. I was impressed by how quick the recovery was with minimal bleeding or discomfort. But was it worth the week I had to take off work and rest? Well imagine ,when you pee, the urine flow and control is like when you were 25. All systems normal. No more anxiety about where the nearest bathroom is. He is really a talented surgeon and a very nice person. And his front desk and assistants are so kind and professional. I am a health care provider, which makes me extra aware of how well a Doctor and his team treat all patients and this practice is excellent. Don't put off seeing the urologist and definitely choose Dr. Flemming. read more

I called Dr Flemmings office to get an appt for a referral from urgent care. I was greeted by a very rude lady that answers the phone. She told me what my insurance plan was even though it wasn't a covered California plan and that I would have to pay cash instead. I told her it wasn't and she wouldn't listen and she actually said to go somewhere else and just hung up on me! THAT IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT A NEW POTENTAIL PATIENT! Perfect example of not actually caring about the patients and only caring about how the dr is gonna get paid! Don't go here unless you want very BAD SERVICE! Been going to Dr. Flemming for over 5 years -- Always a great job of assessing my health and recommending & providing options. Staff is indeed important, as many reviews here state. Doctors often do not realize the impact the people up front have on their patients. I have not been treated rudely, but several years ago, I can certainly recall conversations/requests that were somewhat abrupt perhaps. This must have been corrected since because I have not experienced anything but courtesy and professionalism lately. Maybe the Yelp reviews helped! In any case, I cannot give a higher recommendation for the doctor himself. read more

Brother had been seeing Dr Flemings at least since 2/2015 regarding his prostate. He was repeatedly advised he had inflammation that would be resolved with time. He was in and out of Community hospital numerous times until he got a second opinion at Stanford. In May he was diagnoised with stage 4 sarcoma was was given 2 months. He died 7/8/2015. read more

I've read the reviews and agree with some of the other patients content but would like to set a few things straight after being a patient for the last year and just having an Ultra sound/Biopsy performed on 6/17/15. The staff is a bit "rough" around the edges but they get the job done, the office could use a face lift but that's not why I'm there, they do offer appt. cards but let you know they don't call and confirm appt's., (if the appt. is important enough, the patient shouldn't need a reminder)! Dr. Flemming knows how to perform a virtually pain free Biopsy (with a mild pain pill), he is easy to speak with, honest and offers good advice. I would personally recommend Dr. F., but if you feel you need a second opinion go for it, I did and that's why I'm a patient of Dr. Flemming. read more

I read with surprise the one star reviews which mostly were critical of Dr. Flemming's staff. My recent experience with Dr. Flemming's office was very positive. The staff was knowledgeable and spent considerable time with me answering questions and going over the scheduled procedure. Dr. Flemming was very personable and easy to talk to and unhurried in his examination. He went to some effort to get me an early treatment date which I appreciated since I was in some discomfort. He listened to my concerns and took them into account. The treatment went well and I have enjoyed a speedy and complete recovery. I have no hesitation in recommending him. read more

Yes, maybe newer drugs, but that's what we should all want. My son senior in high school was referred to this doctor. They scheduled an appt early next morning after a doctor referral. My son was late, nervous, office front desk was so so rude to us. (First adult doctor he has seen post pediatrician tanks for the expeience.) Admonished him in front of other patients and staff. Doc saw him for less than 10 mins.. Doc not on his Dads insurance plan. Billed 240.00 and left with a bad imagery of these so called professionals. I wouldn't reccommend this office unless you like to be treated rudely. Oh btw good luck trying to get a straight answer of how they bill, they know their codes but not explaining charge per code and not great at patient services. Staff sent a scathing rude letter 2 months later to him after two written requests that he had asked for their response in writing. Their letter stated they had called him. (What?). I am shocked, disgusted and appalled at the woman who answered the phone at the office today. She should absolutely be fired. She is so hostile it's absurd. I think Dr. Fleming would be embarrassed if he knew how his staff conducted themselves. All I needed was a medical record for my son along with a copy of the CD with his ultrasound images on it. I found out through her flipping out and being totally condescending that this was not attainable through their office and that I would need to call the radiologist - when I asked who the radiologist was she snapped at me saying "well what, you don't remember who it was?!" And I replied "Hmmmmm no I don't because I have four young children and this was three years ago?" She flipped out, wouldn't let me finish talking, and finally she said if I wanted to know who the radiologist was that she would "have to go down to the basement to find his record and she just doesn't have time for that." I said back to her "How come a three year old record is already in the archives?" she yelled saying "I don't need you to criticize my office procedures," and then she hung up on me.
