It took 3 months to get the new patient appointment. Unfortunately, my car battery died when I left. I rescheduled and only see the PA. My 92-years old dad went to bathroom average 6 times nightly. Previous office either ignored the issue or prescribed the newest and most expensive overactive bladder medication. I read Rejesh reviews, he had resolved frequently urination. End up my dad only ass PA at Sutter Health Urology Fremont. She adjusted his prostate alpha-1 medication and prescribed low cost OAB meds. I would give a 200/100 to Dr Raj.. met him last month for my kidney stones and he managed to squeeze me in despite of his busy schedule.He looked at my CT scan and suggested a ureteroscopy(btw this was my second opinion visit) The other doc had suggested a much more invasive procedure (pcnl)and claimed the stones wont come out with ureteroscopy..AND here I am..A mont later,100% stone free..Dr Raj took out all the stine..Kind,intelligent and skilled,he is everything a patient would ask for!! Dr.Shinghal is the best physician I have ever met and probably the best Urologist in the bay area and I have seen some extremely good Urologists. Knowledgeable, pleasant, positive, kind, intelligent (the adjectives could go on and on). It is the compassionate care he provides using his deep knowledge and skills that makes an appointment with him almost a spiritual experience. Being a specialist and surgeon with a busy schedule, it took a few weeks to get an appointment with him (I secretly wish one could have a walk-in appointment with him). It were the weeks of waiting that were agonizing but he banished all the worries during the appointment and the follow-up. His staff at PAMF (Natalie, Nicole) were also very nice. No doctor can change the course of events in some cases but for many many other cases, doctors of the caliber of Dr.Shinghal can and do change the course of events simply by their incredible skills, compassion and healing effect on the patient. I had gone to good Samaritan ER due to sharp pain near kidney area.The ER folks did an ultrasound.They didn't actually see the kidney stone in the ureter but send me home with the kidney stone diagnoses anyways. They also asked me to follow up with urologist as soon as possible. I called up Dr. Singhal's office for an appointment and they somehow managed to squeeze me in next day. As soon as i met dr.Singhal, i knew he knows his subject pretty well. He quickly set me up for a CT scan to have a clear picture of what is going on with my kidneys. After CT scan, he saw me immediately. He showed me the location of the kidney stone and its measurement.He also went over all the options and gave his recommendations(wait it out in my case).All this happened within the same morning appointment. Overall, i had a very good experience. I had come to his office with all kind of questions and not knowing what was going on but left very satisfied with all the data he provided. There are no words to describe the kindness, empathy, intelligence, and patience Dr Shinghal has towards his patients and their family.
