He thoroughly arranged the necessary tests, including MRI, biopsy, and PSMA PET/CT, which led to a clear and timely diagnosis. Because I was concerned about the risk of infection, I specifically requested a transperineal (TP) biopsy, and Dr. Shinghal was very receptive and performed it without issue. I truly appreciated how he listened to my concerns and accommodated my request. After the cancer was confirmed, he took the time to clearly explain the available treatment options, discussing both the benefits and potential concerns of each. This helped me make an informed and confident decision about my treatment. His recommendation of Dr. Yao for surgery was excellent and made a meaningful difference in my overall care and outcome. Dr. Shinghal is professional, thoughtful, and genuinely patient-centered. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy urologist.

His office is prompt and efficient, and his staff is nice to work with. My issue was in the quality of service. After an initial urine test for any obvious infection, the Dr. essentially went into "it's all in your head mode". He didn't really listen to described symptoms, didn't really discuss options, or explore what might really be the issue. He basically said, no obvious infection, here try this supplement. A few visits of this, and I gave up.

My husband was seriously bleeding from his prostate and was requiring blood and these big bags of water. He was having a hard time with blood clots and in the evening on Call urologists would have to come. Dr Saleh was trying real hard to get him in for an operation and finally, one evening when he was not the on call Dr he came and said we need to do an emergency surgery. He afterwards told me he couldn't stop all the bleeding but he tried real hard but he was worried that his heart which needed a valve couldn't handle more surgery. Nachum coded when he was recovering. I recall meeting the Dr the next day after being up most of the night and having a full day of treatment I met the Dr in ICU and I asked him would he finally be able to get some rest and he said, "no, his 5 year old son had a science project that he submitted. The Dr treated him kindly and when my hubby who was in the hospital for a month was taking it badly he would just talk to him for 5-10 minutes. Also, in Aug 2020 he caught COVID before vacines. Putting a catheter was always tricky for something they called a secret package but the Dr had a family emergency and before he left he took care of my hubby. Dr. Saleh is the best, kind, caring, very knowledgable Dr. and we have been blessed to have him as my hubby's urologist. There is a comment by an Albert M. and truly it does not seem like we are talking about the same Dr. The World in my opinion is a better world because it has such an incredible Dr. This is long overdue but I am so glad to be doing it.

Just updating the long medical battle…read more We highly recommend Dr. Sunkavalky. Thank God first of all for sending Dr. Rao in our lives. I have been seeing Doctor Sunkavally for many many years now and it all started when I had kidney stones and to date after following his medical advices and proper diet it has not been an issue. Then many more years later bladder cancer said hello to me and again Dr. Rao guided me and actually gave me the strength and understanding I needed to deal with the disease and I followed everything he said to treat my cancer and he is the best. Other doctors wanted to remove body part and so much for second opinions i say. I stayed with Dr. Rao the years he treated me period ! All of Dr. Rao's medical advice and attention to detail on all of my treatments and guidance to date and I am so proud and blessed to say we both won and beat cancer. So far cancer I am free and treatments still on going per Dr. Rao's supervision to keep it from coming back and Dr. Rao's methods work and I am a living testament. Thank you doctor and to all the caring and loving staff for making our family stress free. We all know patience is a virtue and all the waiting and medical treatments are worth it. Again we love Dr. Sunkavalky and the entire staff and we pray that he keeps helping everyone the way he has helped us and that we are always safe and healthy in the years to come. Its not instrument that cures but the Doctor that knows want to do to cure what needs to be cured. Also, when Doctor was on vacation in India, he was still able to talk to me when I called on an emergency and I do not know any doctor that does that !!!! Thank you doctor Rao ! You are the best !! The office was small. I was put in a patient room that was very small and had old unused equipment taking up a lot of the tiny space. it wasn't stall like a normal patient room. So the doctor comes in and tells me that the test that I had done for my bladder showed a lot of abnormalities, like lumps. I think he said there were four of them and that I should go see my oncologist immediately. well of course I was freaked out. he just came out with this scary information out of the blue without trying to at least brace me first. He should have had my husband come in to help me hear this very alarming, scary information. then I walk out of the room in a daze and I see that the front desk woman is telling my poor husband to book an appointment at my oncologist. But she doesn't explain why, so now he's freaked out because he has no idea why she's advi him to do this. so now I have to get another scan through my oncologist, which shows that there is absolutely no lumps or anything resembling something that should be further tested for cancer. my oncologist was totally upset with this stupid doctor because in cases like this the doctor should have phoned my oncologist prior to speaking to me! I was referred to this awful urologist by Washington Hospital. Do Not go to this doctor. there are many wonderful urologists in the Bay Area. I go to a wonderful uro at the Fremont branch of Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I couldn't ask for a better urologist.
