I went with her on a follow-up appointment where she had her first cast removed, the break Flouroscoped (similar to XRays) and a new cast put on. Dr. Satow did all of this himself, with a great gentle manner and attentive care, while talking to me about the World Cup results at the same time. He put on a lighter cast and she will go back in a few weeks to remove that and get a sling. His office has tickets and sports memorabilia on the walls and he loves competitive sports, despite his professional appearance and soft manner. He didn't offer a follow-up appointment. I had the best week ever because the inflammatory condition was paused completely. BUT. NO. TAPER. !!! I thought I was going to die from the prednisone withdrawal effects. Felt like the worst flu ever. Every muscle, every inch of my body hurt. When I tried to get in touch, no call back. When I physically went in to try to get an appointment, his horrible assistant tried to diagnose me and wouldn't give me an appointment. WTF!! WORST. DR. EVER.

After being told I could only schedule one day in advance due to a "newly enforced" no-show policy, I sat in the waiting area for my Uber and overheard the receptionist booking another patient for Thursday. When I confronted her and asked why that patient got to book ahead, she finally admitted how the new scheduling really works. ​Here is exactly what they are doing at their Monterey and Salinas locations: ​ Erasing Scheduled Care: They abruptly deleted already-booked future appointments for established patients with any past missed days. ​ Retroactive Punishment: They are using this new policy to penalize you for past misses, even though they never enforced the rule back then. ​ Blatant Double Standards: Penalized patients must call the day before and just hope they get squeezed in. Meanwhile, a flood of new patients from a closed-down clinic (and those with perfect past attendance) are getting top priority and advance scheduling. ​ No Room for Emergencies: A fair warning to those new or "perfect attendance" patients: if you miss just one appointment, you will instantly fall into this same restrictive system. You better hope you never get genuinely sick or have a real emergency! ​It is incredibly unprofessional to retroactively change the rules, secretly cancel people's future appointments, and lie to your face just to make room for new patients. ​ Look elsewhere if you want equal, reliable, and respectful care! ‍

I needed to get my records (before they were destroyed) because I recall there being some very good notes. But I could not believe the rude way they spoke to me, I can't believe they speak to any human that way. It made me so sad. On top of it, even though I was within the time frame to request my records, they ghosted me and I didn't even get them and no they're probably destroyed.
