They were very helpful regarding not only fixing my brake issues but also providing education regarding proper intervals in which I should be servicing other systems of the car. I am a home healthcare provider and my car is my lively hood in this career as I drive 25k mi per year. So in addition to brakes this visit he also swapped out spark plugs which ended up being an involved project based on their location on the vehicle. Pretty sure they were the original ones from 180,000 miles ago! We came up with a plan regarding maintenance of the coolant and transmission fluid at a future date as they were looking fine at the moment. If you're looking for a shop with an honest, family feel where the owner wholeheartedly takes the time diagnose, repair, and provide education regarding this is the one. Then we heard through the grapevine that our friend Gary started working at Shorie. We'd instantly trust any shop he worked at. Coincidentally, our vehicle began making loud noises and needed attention just about then. Perfect timing. Evidently, when cooling fans vibrate enough, they break off and cause severe damage to your radiator. So, we had our vehicle towed into the shop and had a rental for over a week because we had to help some friends in Yuma. Schorie was fantastic. They did all the work on our vehicle while we were out of town. It needed a few more things, so we authorized the additional work. The estimate was less than other shops had quoted us (for the front rotors and breaks). We came home, drove over, picked up our vehicle, and were super happy with the work that was done and the warranty terms. Aric was terrific to deal with the entire time on the phone and then in the office as well. The shop is run well, prices are decent, and they have a super warranty to back up their service on your vehicle. Highly recommend.

This last time was really not a great experience we had dropped our car off on a Wednesday afternoon under the impression that nothing would really be assessed until Thursday which was totally understandable. We did not hear from anyone on Thursday and ended up calling ourselves in which the answer was they were running some tests. Friday rolls around and no updates or calls we called twice once in the AM and then again at closing time. At closing time I decided to call and see where we were at and asked whether we would be getting our car for the weekend. We decided to keep the car at the shop over the weekend but were told we would get a call first thing in the AM on Monday when they re-opened, which did not happen. We called around 10am and the front desk reported they were surprised we did not have our car back and would ask the technician and give us a call again no call back. We ended up calling and asking them to just fix a few minor things. We totally understand that car fixes take time but being transparent and communicative is super important, we are two working adults and had already planned on not having a second car for a few days so we had made arrangements but not having a car for 6 days is another story. We are disappointed as we really trusted this place and it was close to home, but will not be bringing our cars back here.

Rafael really cares about the customer which makes all the difference in the world…read more I am 74 and have been driving my truck since brand new for 36 years. It is highly important to be able to trust your mechanic. I had a suspicion my last mechanic had no respect for me by the miles put on by the test drive. At the next oil change this new mechanic, different outfit, discovered the filter was way newer than the oil. He surmised the oil wasn't changed when the filter was. He did discover a small piece missing that involved the carborater. He told me it didn't affect anything and to just drive it but he said he'd see if he could make the part and come back and put it on. He was a mobile mechanic. I said I wouldn't drive it until he put the piece on. A lot of time went by. Eventually I found out he got sick. I spent hours pouring over reviews. I spent more time talking and texting. I prayed. When Rafael heard my story he came right out 3 hours later. He looked at where the part was missing (turned out it was just a neck to some box that held the air for the carb), went back to his shop, he has a shop too! made the part, came back and put it on. He offered to jumpstart me too for free but I pay for roadside assistance which I never use no need to, so I said I'd wait and get jumped the next day and drive it around an hour to charge up the battery which I did. I prefer to drive when the least amount of people are out because I drive the speed limit and get honked at. I am still overwhelmed I'm not stranded anymore. Priorities are most important. Putting your Creator and Saviour 1st will always be successful and it's a commandment! Remember "Seek ye first?" No matter how busy he is, he takes the time to explain any and all actions. You will not be disappointed. I had read that one negative comment weeks ago and it caused me to bypass this lifesaver outfit for me. His wife explained to the customer that made the claim somewhere else on another site I believe. I had thought he didn't work on carboraters from that negative comment but that was a wrong conclusion on my part. Rafael doesn't mind explaining things.
