I bought a pair of running shoes on September 12, 2020 at the Fleet Feet store in Annapolis, Maryland. The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, after wearing the shoes twice they hurt my feet so I decided to exchange it for another brand I had previously fitted on September 17, 2020. This time I got a man who said he was the owner. He was extremely rude from the moment I entered the store. After I tried on the new shoe (which was more expensive) he wanted my assurance that I would be happy with this shoe and offered me a store credit if I wasn't positive to. I told him I came to exchange and asked what was happening because my experience with the ladies on Saturday was very pleasant, he responded "well today you got me". While I went in to exchange the shoe, if he hadn't insisted he could not refund my money because I wore it twice, I would have taken my money back. I will not return to the Fleet Feet store in Annapolis, Maryland. read more

I am so disappointed here. Last year, I had purchased a pair of Hoka's at this store only to find out that I was sized wrong, put in the wrong shoe, and with the wrong inserts. I gave them another chance in June and was measured and had the scan done. $185.50 later, I left with different inserts and a pair of Brooks. While I loved the way the Brooks fit, 2 1/2 months later I had extremely unusual wear on the bottoms to the point of there being almost a huge hole. When I brought them in with my receipt, the employee was surprised and said that is highly unusual and may be a defect. She was very pleasant and got the owner to see what he would do. This is where things went wrong. He asked me what I expected him to do when I was well past my return date (actually only 2 weeks). And said that the worn tread is highly unusual and could mean I am in the wrong shoe. Well.....I was fitted and placed in the shoe there, so shouldn't he help me find a solution here. He plainly and without any regret told me there was nothing he could do and I should try and contact Brooks. So their "commitment to helping you find the proper FIT for your running shoes" and the owner's supposed "strong customer service and management background" has not been my experience at ALL. I have basically just flushed $120 for the shoe down the toilet and am not even able to wear them to the grocery store. read more

good store. expensive store. but i was buying running shoes for the kid and i spare no expense when it comes to my manchild. okay...that's a lie. this boy just keeps growing and growing and GROWING and just won't stop it. (damn him!) and so, for many years now i have spared a LOT of expenses by cutting corners when i can, when shopping for clothes for him b/c he almost always outgrows his garments before he can out-wear them. but there are a few areas where i do not scrimp and footwear (especially for sports) is one of them. after all the years and all the damn sport-specific shoes i've had to buy this kid (3 different kinds of cleats for football - american AND soccer - and baseball, basketball shoes, swimmer flops, karate slippers, weird fencing boots, boxing boots and even tap dance shoes - oh damn, don't tell i told about the tap dance shoes), i somehow never had to buy a pair of just running shoes. imagine my surprise when the kid decides to stick with boxing (of all the freaking sports! do you WANT to give me a heart attack?!), that i have to buy running shoes. apparently, it's not just learning how to stick & jab & duck, but there's this thing called endurance to it too, and you have to do a lot of running to get that. so, we went to fleet feet. these sales people are almost as brave as boxers, and certainly have the endurance thing going for them. they took off the manchild's shoes AND socks, and examined his feet, w/o plugging their noses or holding their breath. they measured his feet and cut some insoles to fit him, then had him try them on with the shoes he wore into the store. based on watching him walk and run with and w/o the insoles, with and w/o shoes, and his answers to a few questions, they brought out a few pairs of sneaks for him to try. they had him try on shoes with different kinds of socks and insoles. he ran. he walked. he jogged in place. they asked more questions. and brought more shoes. it was a serious process. finally, we settled on a pair of nike running shoes, a few insoles for the boy to wear in his regular shoes every day [to give him some more support and help w/ his slight pronation - i don't feel like explaining that term, google it], some specialty socks to battle the sweat and funk of an active teen boy w/ big feet, and these nifty little things called 'sneaker balls'. the sneaker balls are magic. they absorb moisture [and funk!] when placed in shoes, and leave them smelling like fabric softener sheets. a must have for stinky man shoes. the boy drops them into his running and/or boxing shoes after work outs and *poof* the smell and moisture disappear! go sneaker balls! i wound up spending over $200 at this place, but i think it was money well spent. quality experience and quality shoes for my quality kid. very worth it. read more

The lack of selection almost makes up for the poor service!!! The owner is an abrasive know-it-all who works way too hard to get you into the most expensive shoes possible. Don't forget you NEED those extra $40 insoles, and you're NEVER going to be able to train properly without that gps watch. ugh. Just a horrible, horrible experience. read more

Amazing experience. Both my husband and I went in to get new running shoes last weekend and received amazing customer service. Two people came over right away and helped us find the perfect shoe which met our individual needs. The staff is very sweet and extremely knowledgeable on the products fleet feet carries. They even let you jog outside to make sure the fit is perfect. Wide variety offered along with amazing apparel. I would def recommend this place and will return in the future. read more

Great Shop. This store is excellent for runners of any fitness level or experience level. The staff in knowledgeable and very helpful. You will pay SLIGHTLY more for shoes here than at other stores but the service is well worth the few extra dollars. read more

The knowledgeable staff and great selection are a huge draw to this awesome store by the water. I came here to find running shoes for myself and was very pleased with the help. Later on I returned for an awesome "Running with Injuries" seminar and found helpful advice from a Chiropractor. This Christmas I got my brother a gift card to come and have his go at fitting and finding running shoes and he too had a great experience. Thanks! read more

I have dealt with the owner twice in a little over two years. Each time she promised a callback because she needed to order the shoes I chose. Each time I had to repeatedly call the store for updates, even after promises of a response in an hour. I waited two days and called to find out the status. I was told by the staff that they are extremely understaffed, that the owner should be in that afternoon. I again waited two days and was told the shoes wd arrive in two more days. Ok. I stopped by on the appropriate day and was told they wd be in the next day. I said ok. Then as I drove home the owner called me and said she got a vibe from me...a vibe. She then ranted at me about my attitude! She stalked me. I was shocked. My husband heard some of it and said she is nuts. Beware. read more

The owner's are great! They have runs from their store a few times a week so you can socialize and get a good run in. I like their products because Scott tests almost all of them. Scott makes sure his staff knows what they are doing when fitting shoes on people and they make excellent recommendations. Definitely get your running gear here. read more

There are lots of places to buy your shoes, I can't see why I should shop here. I ran once with their running group and was treated with suspicion. Not a terribly friendly group. read more

The staff just doesn't grab shoes and you try them on. They actually are interested in your running habits and how they are changing, staying the same etc. I had been wearing the same shoe for some time now but as I changed my habits they suggested a different shoe and I already notice the difference. Love their attention to detail. read more

My husband and I stopped into the store seeking to purchase both of us some running shoes. We looked around and we weren't even greeted by a staff member which there were approximately 4 people on. They all seemed to have decided to hoover over one person trying on shoes and commence to talk with her. After approximately 20 minutes we left. This is the WORST experience we have ever had coming here! read more

I have bought several pairs of walking shoes from Fleet Feet and have always been impressed by the care taken to fit my 74 yr old feet properly. This store was recommended by my orthopedist. I am not one to enjoy shopping for shoes,it can be overwhelming. I like the approach of this store having their staff personalize a good fit and helping the customer find the best shoe for them. On a busy day, you may wait a few minutes, but it is worth the wait. Everyone that walks in the door gets the same attention, it is like having a personal shopper. I am so happy with my running shoes, I would have never picked a better pair on my own. Thank you! read more

I hadn't purchased new exercise sneakers in quite some time and wanted to upgrade my Hoka Bondi sneakers. You can only find Hoka's at specialty running stores and online. I didn't want to buy online because I actually wanted to TRY ON the new version of the Hoka's (Bondi 5). I saw online that Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis had them in my size, so I went into the store. There were two young people working in the store (young lady and young man; looked college-age). They both greeted me in a very friendly manner, and the young lady came over to help me right away. She asked what I was looking for, went and found it in my size, helped me put them on, asked me to walk around and see how they felt, and was generally very helpful. I already knew exactly what I wanted, so things were super easy. But it seemed like if I had needed additional help in figuring out what I wanted, they were knowledgeable and would have been very helpful in figuring out which shoe would be best for my needs. Would definitely go back again! read more
