They hemmed my pants while I waited, they honored a 10℅ Yelp coupon from another place because I was lost and couldn't find them, they have a surprisingly large and impressive looking facility, they're very polite, they only measured one leg, and the other pant leg is slightly shorter now. It was only ten bucks, so not worth the hassle, and no one but me would notice, but still...I'd return, but I'd be more vigilant. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do NOT go to Flavio's because 1. Flavio's overcharges you 2. Flavio's has very bad customer service Allow me to elaborate. I brought my suit in 3 weeks ago and we agreed to alterations on my slacks and my jacket for $35. When I came today, I expected my suit to be finished. However, when I showed up she said she had not be able to complete the alterations. She said that she did not accurately mark where the alteration to my jacket was to be and that she could not call me because she lost the slip of paper that had my number on it. She said that she would finish it though. I left but came back because I realized that she did not have my number again. She said that the alterations would cost $48 more because she did not account for another alteration she needed to do. ????? Does she know what she is doing? She should have known that when she quoted me the price. Had she quoted me that price before, I would not have left my suit there. I was incensed. It was not the first time she had overcharged me before. She overcharged me on some pants she modified. Lesson: DO NOT GO HERE. She tries to overcharge you and she is badly organized. read more

I made an appointment at noon. When I get there the small room was full of people with two people in the dressing rooms. She didn't even acknowledge me. I sat and sat and couldn't take the rudeness anymore. So I just left. She probably didn't even notice. Why make appointments with people??? read more

I needed a bridesmaid dress altered at the last minute and was referred to this place by a dry cleaners. The lady was super friendly and said she could have my dress ready by 4pm the day before the wedding. I called an hour before it was ready to see if by any chance it was done early because I was already in the area, and the lady I spoke with said it actually wasn't going to be ready until 5pm. No apology, no sound of remorse. I called back a few minutes later to set up a pick up time for the next morning and this time it was the original lady I dealt with who answered, and again, no apology. Then the dress. I just needed it shortened, and short was it! So much shorter than we discussed, and what's worse is the outside layer was shorter than the inside layer!! So disappointing, not going back there again. read more

Wow. I'm so impressed and thankful for this place!! I got a pair of pants in the mail that I wanted to wear same day for an event but they were easily 2 sizes too big. I rushed over to Flavio's, and even though they ask for a week to make alterations, they were able to get my pants tailored by that same NIGHT. And, they did an amazing job!!!! Seriously the sweetest people. Knowing how good they are, I'm suddenly opened up to the possibility that I can now have all of my clothes that don't fit quite right confidently altered so I can wear them with 100% satisfaction. I normally have my shirts altered at Holiday Cleaners, but after my father recommended Flavio's and consulting Yelp, I took four shirts into Flavio's for alternations. The quote was $68 for all four shirts. Holiday would have charged me $80. Plus, I had a coupon for a discount of 10%. I was a little nervous about trusting my clothes to a different tailor, but the woman who pinned the shirts seemed very competent and listened to what I wanted. She gave me confidence in her and the price was good, so I gave Flavio's a chance. When I picked up the shirts today, a young lady (not the woman I mentioned above) charged my purchase to my credit card. When I put the receipt into my wallet, I saw my coupon, realizing that I forgot to give it to her. When I presented the coupon she said, "It is too late, but you can use it next time." Normally, I would take issue with such stupidity, but I had a headache and did not feel like fighting with her for $6.80. So I am making my experience known on Yelp instead. I regret not asking her name, so I could warn other Yelpers (and her boss, if he reads this) accordingly. I do not know whether she was too lazy to process the refund, too poorly-trained to know how, or too stupid to calculate 10% or simply ask for help. Judging by the look on her face, I think she was just too lazy. I won't be back to Flavio's. The unfortunate part is that I actually think they did a better job on my shirts than Holiday does. The shirts fit very nicely. I would like to use Flavio's again, but I hate having to give my money to lazy, poorly-trained, and/or stupid people. There has to be a place in town that does quality tailoring at a fair price while honoring its own coupons. read more

I had the most amazing experience with the owner of this shop. I sold a coat on eBay and as I was packing it, I discovered that the shoulder seam was open. The buyer was counting on wearing it on her birthday day after next. When I explained my dilemma, she said she could have it ready at 3 p.m. in time for me to get it to Fed Ex. It was already close to ll a.m. It was ready as promised, the cost $18 which was very reasonable since she had to open the hem to get to the shoulder seam. She even helped fold and place it in the box. If I could give her 6 stars, I would. Oh, and my buyer is tap dancing happy to be getting her coat on time. It was a pleasure to do business with this shop and the very gracious owner. read more

I brought in two leather jackets to have the sleeves shortened. They did a great job. One jacket is white with thick Grey stitching and they matched it perfectly at the cuffs. I've been there a few times. She changes her prices randomly. I've gone to get dressed skirts hemmed and it's the same amount of work. The first time it was $20 another time it was $15 and today was $35. The dresses all required the same amount of detail. One layer straight across. They need to have their prices posted somewhere so they can't just change them as they wish. read more

They did the alterations for my wedding dress and did a great job! I'm quite short so my wedding dress was way too long on me, but had details in the lace that could be ruined if it was simply cut. My husband bought a new suit at the Camarillo outlets and the salesman recommended Flavio's as the trousers needed to be shortened and my husband did not have a lot of time before he needed to wear the suit. The people at Flavio's were very friendly and understanding and did the alterations within 2 days. Since then we've been back with other alterations, some of them tricky, and they've all come back immaculate. We live in Thousand Oaks and I'd use Flavio's all the time if it wasn't for the distance but I still seek them out if its an important repair. read more

I've been coming to to Flavio's for a couple of months now, bringing everything to casual clothes to formal wear and I have yet to be dissapointed. The women who owns the business is very kind and and always helpful, she explains exactly what she is going to do in order to fix your clothes. Another young lady there has also helped me when the women isn't there and she is just as helpful. The turn around time is typically a week but if you need something the same day or the next they can normally can get it done Prices are reasonable for the quality work they they do. I used to think alterations were unnecessary but I've saved a lot of my clothes with simple fixes. The only problem is once you get hooked on fixing your clothes you won't want to stop. No question the only tailor I will ever go to. read more
