Let me start by saying I've been here a few times before writing this review.. I come to get my bottoms hemmed because I'm short (5'0"). This is my last time coming back. I will get a quote on the phone and then it's different in person (more expensive). They are nice but it's just annoying having to come back or waiting bc my stuff isn't ready. Worst job done ever!! Unbelievable that she is in business. 2 weeks after we were told they would be done and she didn't start yet. Some of the clothing was not even done when we picked it up. Things that were done were so bad a 5 year old would have done better. So expensive too. I am just mind blown how bad this is. What a waste of 200 dollars. read more

Had my bridesmaids dress tailored here and they did a great job! They were able to get it all done in 2 weeks. Which was amazing considering I got my dress late and the wedding was this month. I have been coming for a few years now and have referred MANY people here. Unfortunately I have not been happy with the service. 1. I was told my item would be ready by a certain time and it was not, in fact it was the next day. I also think $86 for tailoring a bridesmaid dress (taking in the sides) is extremely overpriced! This is a family-run business that I have patronized for many years. Flavio is a master tailor, and his wife Eny runs the shop. They are very accommodating and do excellent work. I can't say enough good things about them! I'd like to address comments about "inconsistent pricing" by some of their reviewers. Flavio's is a custom tailoring establishment and prices reflect business overhead plus the ease or difficulty of the job. I have always found the pricing fair. Amazing work, I have been going to her on a regular basis for a few years now and I get nothing but her best work and tailorship. By now she knows all my measurements, when need be she stays late to mage sure I'm satisfied. I haven't trusted anyone else with my clothes and nor world I after coming here for years. Been a long time customer with Flavio's and refer all my friends/family for any alterations they need done. Today 07/10/2018, my wife picked up her bridesmaid's dress for my sister's wedding on Friday. My wife immediately noticed significant damage to the dress's metallic stitching/embroidery, as if the seamstress snagged it on something. Once she notified her before leaving the shop, the seamstress continuously denied causing the damage and insisted it was already damaged. This is not possible as the damage is literally located on the middle front of the dress and would have been seen immediately. I understand accidents happen, but that lack of honesty and accountability has left me with no desire to do business with Flavio's. ** Please be aware before you take any important items to get altered at this shop. read more

I have tried five tailors in the past few years. Most of my alterations are straight forward. The clothes I get hemmed are generally upscale sportswear. Flavors tailoring is good. If you want alterations to include hem tape on your hems it is extra but he will do it. I had four items altered. Great work at a reasonable prices. Lady quick to charge to shorten shirt. 3-4 day pick up. Wasn't ready when agreed. Noticed shirt in back room table and had not been cut. Was told to return 10-15 min later. Agreed- I returned later & shirt was finished. Thread didn't match seam or other stiches tho! Mediocre job! Excess material not trimmed neatly either. Lady used wrong color of thread. She made me out to feel that the distinction in color was "no big deal". Well, i have standards! And told her so. It's a BIG deal to me (work shirt). And i resent having my opinion watered-down as if it doesn't matter! Said she could look for another thread, but if she didn't have matching color she would have to keep shirt for next week pick-up & go to the store to sesrch & buy the thread. Ended up picking up shirt the following day. Lady made good on work. Shirt looked good, excess material neatly trimmed & color thread match was good! I wonder if she made good on the job because of the logo/seal on my shirt and potential loss off customers... Shady. CAUTION!!! NOTE: check out the photos of the trash can. I had a few $2000+ designer suits I had originally wanted to take to a top tailor in LA just to be certain alterations would be on point as I like a very slim fit. Due to time constraints on travel I couldn't make it out and had to bring them to a place in the VTA area. I found this place on yelp, called to see if they could do day of service, which they could, and brought them in. Was slightly worried it wasn't going to fit as tight as I wanted, but when I came back to try it on I was astonished. I had a speaking engagement the next day to a crowd of 10,000 attendees and after so many people were complimenting me on my jacket and on being the sharpest looking speaker that evening. I have very peculiar taste and it's such a relief to have found a reliable tailor in the VC area that knows my style and delivers every time. Thank you Flavios. I truly truly appreciate your work! I have used the Flavio's in Camarillo on several occasions for a suit and slack alterations. I can honestly state that they have done a good job on most of the work that they have done for me. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed today due to the fact that they were closed. This woman is a complete rip-off. She changes her prices all the time. I recently learned that she recently charged $120 to alter 2 pairs of uniform pants and a firefighter's uniform shirt. Then she decides to call him before pick up to tell him she forgot to add an additional charge. Now the total was $135. Of course, he was not going to question the pricing.
