They have both bar and table seating, so you can choose what you want. I ordered the Flava's Best Platter, which came with a nice variety of items. The oxtail and jerk chicken were really good. Service was slow waited approximately 20-25 minutes for drinks and an hour for appetizers. The host who greeted us was acting as hostess, waitress and stew chef. The website menu is different from restaurant menu. Ordered escovitich red snapper and got Whitings which did not have any escovitch flavor and the rice & peas were dry with no flavor. At this point, it still costs me to cancel the order unless I go through the hassle of customer service. As someone who works in hospitality over 12 years, this is unprofessional asf. The dipping sauce for the quesadillas was surprisingly tasty -- they should sell it in a bottle. The lamb chops were grilled and glazed to perfection. I think they need to close this place down, I went there last night and the food was awful. I didn't want the cabbage that comes with the meal and there was no other vegetable there or substitutions. I've really tried to give this place a fair chance, but I always leave disappointed. A couple of months ago, I went on a busy Tuesday night--most tables were full, but there was no host to greet us. We seated ourselves, and not a single waiter came by. After waiting 30 minutes with no acknowledgment, we just left. A group of 7 of us went on a Tuesday to celebrate my sister's birthday. The restaurant has two floors and both were pretty empty, the bottom level is quiet and more for dining. The top level is lounge, with darker lighting, and a dj. We decided on the top level, and everyone got settled. I bought a cake I was hoping we could cut while there, and I asked the waitress if they could take the cake and bring it out with a candle or sparkler, something. The waitress said she had to speak to the manager, but took the cake with her. When she returned she said "the manager said we have to charge a $25 dollar service fee for the cake". My assumption was they were charging to bring the cake with an extra special show. The waitress then says, no they're charging to hold the cake in the fridge for you. So I told her Never mind, just bring me back the cake, and she replied "just come speak to the manager". Me and a friend go downstairs and are met with the hostess and the security guard, the hostess states that's their policy. My friend asks, is that posted somewhere on your website, and the security guard says yes. My friend searched the website and could not locate it, she asked the hostess to find it and the hostess repeated it's there and that she also had to pay to have her cake there when she celebrated her birthday... My friend then goes over to the manager, who was behind the bar, and asked if she could speak with her, the manager replied "I'm not speaking to any of you without the waitress". Why not ma'm?, and she really did not speak to us. The security guard, a small little old lady, was doing most of the talking. When the manager refused to speak with us, me and my friend were ready to leave, but by this time, half my party was downstairs trying to figure out what was going on. I tried to explain the rudeness to my party but they felt it was an issue paying the 25 dollars, so the birthday's girl's boyfriend paid. I told them we were paying to place it in the fridge, when if I didn't bring it to anyones attention, they would not have known we even had a cake. The hostess was then saying they would be cutting the cake for us. Okay great, her making that statement leads me to believe it would be some type of something when they brought the cake up. No one else wanted to leave, but also missed the interaction had with the hostess, security guard, and rude manager. Regret #1, We all go back upstairs, and order food, pitchers of margarita(not an actual pitcher, but a refilled bottle of don Julio) and hookah. The fish tacos were fishy and had a strong lingering odor. The shrimp tacos were baby shrimp and really orange in color like they were just cooked in sazon. The jerk chicken tacos are decent, but none of it is worth anything. Me and the same friend decided to order shots but wanted to do it away from the birthday girl's attention, so we go downstairs to order at the bar. Regret #2, we have to order with the manager. We asked how much were shots, we agreed on the price, and I left her my card, she said the hostess would bring it up for you and we head back upstairs. The hostess brings back my card for me to sign and there's like a 7/8 dollar increased difference in the price. Waitresses were switched and Ashley came to wait on us, she is only gem in that establishment, and was great. Someone in the party asked for the cake to be brought out, 10mins went by, then 20, 30, 40 mins later, still no cake. My cousin, friend, and I go downstairs to ask if someone was actually gonna bring the cake up. I asked the manager how would it go, would someone bring it up whole so we could sing happy birthday first, or did they plan on just cutting it for us. She laughed and said they were cutting it, then said she was joking. The owner came over to speak with me and I explained this wasn't really a good experience and I would never return based off his security guard and manager, he expressed that he felt it was unfair for them to be a representation of his business. My friend asked if the $25 dollars could be returned, because not only did we have to pay just to have it in the Restuarant, we had to wait over 40 mins for it to be produced, yet still with no candle, no sparkle, they did bring a stack of to-go containers out with it. The owner said again we were being unfair and felt this was all just to get the 25 dollars back, at this point I was done speaking to him and told him to please keep it. I felt he had no interest in really understanding our point of view. I sealed the cake back up and gathered everyone to leave. We ended up cutting the cake at my house. It would be best to just avoid this place altogether, there are other restaurants, with better food, friendlier staff, and will give you a better experience elsewhere! read more

The bad: when I called before I arrived, someone on the phone said brunch ended at 6 pm and I arrived at 5pm. My waitress told me that bottomless brunch was only from 2-3pm. They don't mention that you have to buy minimum of three tacos. The whole flyer was false advertising and when the manager was told about it she was like oh there is a new flyer with the $3 taco which is also not accurate because if you go to the Instagram page you will still see the flyer for $2 tacos. Overall the place was cute the music was good a little loud but good. Service needs help. When advertising happy hour ALL DAY you should have two bartenders at the bar or a bartender who moves faster and understands to cater to everybody at the bar not just the people she knows. I haven't left a review in years but this place warrants accolades. This isn't my first time eating here it's my fourth but it's my first time dining in. The oxtail is what brought me back. I have been looking for fantastic oxtails for about a year and have been disappointed time and again until now. The rice and peas was perfect the oxtails was a win the consistency was perfect the flavor perfect and the fat was hardly present. The jerk wings are a 10 out of 10 moist and tender and a flavorful assault on your taste buds. The drinks are watered down. I only received 1 of the 2 items I ordered, the server said... " I (as in he) only ordered 1".
