CR Home Inspections

We were purchasing a new property and needed an inspection of the home and sewer. After…read moreresearching several inspection firms, we ultimately decided to go with Elias at CR Home Inspections due to the reviews describing him as one of the most thorough professionals in the business. And indeed he was! Elias met us on an expedited schedule and he worked promptly with a deep attention to detail. He identified every little issue and gave us an extreme amount of comfort. He even fended off an annoying seller agent that ambushed him towards the end of his inspection and tried to get information on Elias' findings before he even discussed with the client (me). In summary, Elias is the best in the business and is a man of strong integrity. I highly recommend him and definitely would work with him again.

I was looking to buy a property in the OC and found Elias with 5 stars. Honestly, I'm pretty…read moreskeptical about that stuff but I needed the inspection ASAP and he was the first to reply and schedule. Sadly, he scheduled the wrong day and my agent went to the property and basically wasted the trip there since we had to reschedule to the next day. For me this wasn't a big deal since I didn't go out myself, but I felt bad that my agent wasted his time. Elias was very apologetic and even bought my agent a gift card as an apology. He totally owned up to his mistake and for me that speaks volumes about a person. The actual inspection was pretty good as far as I can tell, I'm not an expert on these kinds of things but the report was very detailed and had a lot of photos. He flew a drone up to the roof to take a look and even pointed out minor details like staining on the carpet that I honestly didn't catch when I saw the property myself. Seems like he used infrared to check for water leaks when inspecting the plumbing in the bathrooms and kitchen. In terms of pricing, he was one of the more expensive options but given the level of customer service he provided and the quality of the report I would say it's worth it. Overall, the experience with Elias was very positive and if I ever need inspection services again, he'll be the first I call.

OC Premier Home Inspections - Doug at a Home Inspection

As a first-time homebuyer, the process felt overwhelming at times, but Doug made it so much easier. He explained everything clearly and made me feel included throughout the entire inspection. He took the time to answer all of my questions in a way I could truly understand, which gave me a lot of confidence. Doug is extremely thorough and knowledgeable, and his experience really shows. Having someone with that level of expertise gave me peace of mind that I was making the right decision. I absolutely trust his work and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspector. Even my agent said that she will recommend him in the future. Doug truly delivers.

In early August 2025, I went into escrow on a home and needed an independent home inspection…read morecompany. After researching Yelp and calling several companies, I spoke with Doug at OC Premier Home Inspections. During our phone conversation, Doug emphasized his experience and explained why his company stood out. He also mentioned that his pricing was slightly higher than average, but said his work "speaks for itself" and that you "get what you pay for." I hired Doug to inspect the property. He spent several hours at the home and afterward told me there were a few issues, but overall the home was in decent condition and there were no major concerns. On August 14, 2025, I received the inspection report. I submitted several repair requests to the seller based on the report, and those items were addressed before closing escrow. However, on October 30, 2025, I came home to a major water leak inside the house. A licensed plumber discovered a large pipe in the attic that was heavily corroded inside and out. The pipe was fully visible and even had a newer clamp installed over what appeared to be an existing slow leak. According to the plumber, this should have been easily noticeable during a proper inspection. Doug never mentioned the clamp, the corrosion, or the condition of the exposed attic plumbing in his report. I ultimately had to repipe the entire house at a cost of nearly $10,000. Had this issue been identified during inspection, I could have either negotiated repairs with the seller or reconsidered purchasing the home altogether. When I contacted Doug about the issue, he dismissed my concerns and stated that if the pipe had been actively leaking during the inspection, he would have noticed it. He essentially took no responsibility because it "wasn't leaking at the time." There were additional issues that were also missed: * During the water emergency, I discovered the main water shut-off valve did not work. Doug told me he "doesn't check valves." * My oven was leaking gas whenever the stove burners were used. The gas company eventually tagged the appliance as unsafe, and I had to replace it. This issue was never identified in the inspection. * Doug noted that one upstairs AC vent wasn't getting airflow. I requested repairs from the seller, but later, during attic work after closing, another technician discovered that multiple attic vents were disconnected entirely. If I had been running the AC, much of the cooled air would have been blowing directly into the attic instead of the home -- another issue that should have been obvious during inspection. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the inspection, the lack of thoroughness, and the dismissive response afterward. These oversights cost me thousands of dollars and months of stress and repairs. I would not recommend OC Premier Home Inspections. If you are choosing a home inspector, do extensive research and ask detailed questions about exactly what they inspect and verify before trusting one of the biggest purchases of your life.

He took the time to carefully examine every aspect of the property and made sure nothing was overlooked. What really stood out was how clearly he explained his findings. He didn't just point things out--he made sure I understood what they meant, which issues were minor, and which ones might need attention down the road. That level of communication gave me a lot of confidence moving forward with my purchase. He was also punctual, respectful of the property, and genuinely seemed to care about doing a great job. It's clear he takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection. He finished the entire inspection in about 45 minutes, which is absurd -- every professional I've spoken to since told me a proper home inspection should take 2-3 hours at minimum. When I called him after discovering multiple issues, he gave me every excuse in the book about why he "couldn't" access certain areas due to the home being occupied but yet were fully visible if he paid a lot closer attention, these are the same areas where I'm now facing major problems. These are issues that should have been caught: * Significant plumbing problems * Multiple roof leaks * Moisture spots throughout the home * Mold in and on the walls Despite all of this, he gave the home a "thumbs up" and assured me it was in "overall great condition," which encouraged me to move forward with the purchase. Now I'm stuck dealing with thousands of dollars in repairs because I trusted his evaluation. Extremely disappointed. Thanks, David
